I ordered the Chachi Burger.Cheese, bacon, onion ring & BBQ sauce on a gourmet bun with French fries and pickle. Everything about this burger was awesome. I have zero negative to say about my food experience here. The bun was perfect, the meat was perfect, it was all good. The fries were good. They even had mayonnaise in bottles( along with ketchup and mustard) at the table. Later the next we came back and had some waffle cones, the ice cream was also good. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. While the food was okay and my waitress kind, the owner/ manager (short grayish hair and protective glasses) was so rude. It began to rain and I was outside. Coming inside, she was frustrated that I had been at the outdoor table too long. The restaurant had no one in it. Covid is alive and restaurants are empty. Yet, she was grouchy and awful, talking under her breath when I came inside. I ate breakfast, drinks, lunch and desert over the mid morning to afternoon and could have enjoyed the place if the grumbling and rude social signals weren't there. Stay away if you want to have a pleasant meal and work a bit. It is not a place to linger, even if it is empty. Great for late brunch. The 3 breakfast tacos were filled up to overflowing, but they are the street sized tortillas. Many of the other items seemed to not have as much (like a one egg $13 breakfast dish). The seating was cramped for 4 people in a booth. Service was good even for a new girl from Peru. Today we walked in and they sat us down outside which was great! However we're not from town so we didn't know we needed to walk back in to order. The old lady that works there decided to say "are you going to order or not!? We got 30 minutes" she was rude. We then proceeded to do an order, the whole time she is angry taking the order giving attitudeand she rings us up on a very old cash register. She then says "how are you paying?" I say "do you have Apple Pay or anything like that?" She says "yes we do". So we're standing there kinda staring at each other, and I'm thinking where's the contactless pay reader and she then says "so are you gonna pay or what?!?" So I say "on what?! You haven't given me a reader or anything!" And the then says "calm down ma'am!!" She then goes and puts my total in a contactless card reader and gives me my receipt. She charged me $500!!! Someone else had to give me a refund. Safe to say me and my family of 8 left. Will never recommend or go back. read more

Such friendly service. The waitress asked us about our trip and made lots of suggestions of where to go. I had my heart set on a breakfast burrito, but we arrived 10 minutes after 11, when they stop serving breakfast. The waitress said the grill is too small so once she starts cooking meat on it, it's hard to cook eggs after. So I ordered the ring of fire burrito, which had carne adovaca and beans...but not much else. For some reason I said "no" to the chile smothering questions....Why? I don't know. It came completely naked, with no cheese or tomatoes/lettuce on the side. My boyfriend was smart and got the same thing but smothered- it came with heaping amounts of cheese and Christmas chile and fresh tomatoes.....So I had to keep stealing bites of his. Luckily we got to sit outside on the patio, where there is only 2 or 3 tables. The inside smelled pretty greasy and old, so I'm glad we didn't sit in there- I felt like my clothes might have soaked up the smell. I've had better burritos, but in its defense, the carne adovaca was delicious and pulled apart nicely- not too dry. Wowza! Good ol' southern food somewhere in the mountains of New Mexico. Let's start off by the delightfully massive portion of the meal. That's how the south does it!! They don't just give you the star of the dish (chicken fries steak) but pile on side dishes too (toast, okra, mashed potatoes!). The price was well reflected in the amount of food you get. The waitress there is very nice and took care of several big parties without much help! If you're looking for the next fancy delicacy you won't find it here but everything is very tasty. Not too mention the WARM pecan pie with ice cream is just heavenly and I absolutely love that they don't skimp on gravy. You don't even have to ask for extra-they just know. read more

Hubby had Donald and Daisy and said it wasn't nearly as bland as yesterday's breakfast. I've never been here before, but yes they are short staffed as is everywhere and working their butts off. Best biscuits and gravy on the planet! Super friendly service and great prices to boot. Decided on breakfast here the morning after a great day of skiing and it was a great choice. Yesterday's is just what it says when you go here. The decor is a walk back in time in numerous ways. You might think tacky at first but when you see everything that they have here you recognize that everything just fits this place. We were looking for a hot breakfast before hitting the ski slopes and came across this diner. The atmosphere was very nostalgic and cozy which was perfect on a brisk February morning. I ordered the eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast plate and my husband had pancakes, biscuits and gravy. The bacon was extremely over cooked and the hash browns were average at best. Portions were large, big enough to share but prices were still a bit high for breakfast food. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and personable. I wouldn't rule out The Yesterday's Diner if I find myself back in Red River but I would definitely explore other options. read more

Finally made it in to try the food at this place (see prior review for details-basically was denied a table because a larger party possibly could show up and they had to save the only table large enough for us just in case). The environment was casual and I loved that all the names of the meals were based on characters from old TV shows-cute! I ordered the "Otis" (chicken sandwich with guac and fries), my husband ordered a basic hamburger ( he can't remember the name) and my in-laws got the special which was a brisket sandwich with onion rings. Pros: friendly and competent service this time around. The French fries were really crispy and soft on the inside-very good. The pickle served with the meal was crisp and crunchy. My chicken was juicy and tender, in-laws said their onion rings were good. Cons: the amount of guacamole on my sandwich was pitiful. Don't even say it has guac on it if it's too little to even taste it. There wasn't even a tablespoon on it, and I'm not exaggerating. I asked the server if that was how much was supposed to be on it and she said yes, so I had them add a side and added more myself. I shouldn't have bothered because it tasted like it had been made with a powdered mix rather than fresh guac, very disappointing. My in-laws brisket had so much fat on it about half was left of the plate because it was too fatty to eat. My husband said his burger was flavorless and his bun was greasy. Overall, not great. The meal had some highs-the fries were great-but I wish the rest of the meal had been of higher quality. read more

Okay experience. We got seated rather quickly but it took over seven minutes for the wait staff to take our order. There was only one girl for ten tables and so it was pretty SLOW. The food was alright. The eggs were of course made there because how else are they made? The biscuits and gravy were from cans and packaged mix. Overall would not recommend at all. Went to Yesterdays on New Years Day for dinner. As someone previously said they were understaffed today but they were apologetic and very friendly. Old fashioned diner. Breakfast food is simple and delicious. I had the Donald and Daisy it's a big, hearty, hot breakfast to keep your energy level up for the slopes. The diner also has the movie Greece on a loop. read more

This is our favorite breakfast stop when we come to Red River. Delicious pancakes, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and the red chile is amazing. We love the atmosphere and the movies they play in the dining room; Grease was on this most recent visit. The service was great and the owner is very friendly and hard working.
