I was greeted warmly by the staff, who walked me over to a seat. The salon was very clean and spacious. The polish change took all of 15 minutes and cost around $12. I was glad it wasn't anything more as most places charge upwards of $15. I remember back in the day polish change was $8-$10. Ugh. I despise how expensive everything is nowadays, especially maintenance related.

Unfortunately, I received a nail bed infection from my mani here last week. This was the last straw…read morein an increasingly dissatisfied slip for me since becoming Genova. I've been coming here for several years off and on and usually leave happy, but as if the infection wasn't bad enough.... The customer service has really gone downhill. It appears a bit messy up at the front & crowded at the desk with girls just hanging out. Their technicians (never the same) seem unsure& timid, and there is usually a lack of communication between the front desk and the technician that I have to clarify repeatedly, even though the only thing I ever get is a simple, classic mani no polish, buff and go; and maybe a basic gel pedicure. The prices also went up by at least $10 a service overnight, once the name switched. Previously, I had a $100 gift card from NOA that they would not honor. Why not? I understand ownership changed, but to not honor past gift cards for longer doesn't bode well for established clients. Another time, back in May , I was told the wait would be over 45 minutes for a mani, even though that area appeared completely empty. Ok - so I walked back out and across the street to Blush Salon and got a lovely manicure right away. I don't expect I'll be returning to Genova any time soon.

However, as I was leaving today, I noticed I hadn't received a receipt so I asked for one. When I got to my car and reviewed it, I saw I had been charged an extra $10 for a "nail fix." That was confusing to me because I came in for a builder gel set on my real nails and they had done my previous set as well. I went back inside to ask about it and was told by the manager that the charge was because I had partially removed the gel from two of my nails. I explained that the gel had started peeling after two weeks, so I removed part of it myself this morning knowing I was going to come get them fixed after work today. My main concern is not necessarily the $10 itself, but the lack of transparency. Three different employees assisted me today between my pedicure and gel set and at no point was I informed there would be an additional charge. When I asked why no one thought to alert me, I was told they "thought I knew." Very odd response for it only being my 3rd time. I was initially excited to find a new nail salon that provided good service and transparent pricing, but adding charges without communicating them beforehand (and then making excuses for the lack of communication) makes me reconsider returning

Again, I always tie how I am treated in the "Nail shop" to what is really going on in the world and that's straight up PRE-Judgement and I absolutely dislike ppl that go off of the notion to treat all of another race the same... the service was subpar. Anywayssssssss, the service was AIIIGGHT... I would not go back. Now I look at the nails I got done and did not like it then or now.

Not all women are fascinated about having a new fancy set of nails, but they give their value and attention to the simplest. We get that.

The pricing never seems to be consistent for the same repeat services, which is frustrating. The overall vibe also feels very unwelcoming. Each time I've gone in, it seems like the technicians are put off by doing your nails rather than happy to have you there. After one of my appointments, the tech simply told me to wash my hands and then got up and left without saying another word--something that had never happened before. I eventually gathered my things and went to the checkout counter, only for her to walk off again. I paid and decided that would be my last visit. I truly wish them the best, but the attitude and lack of hospitality just isn't worth it.

The staff has never felt particularly friendly or welcoming, it often seems like they're more focused on rushing clients through than providing a quality, relaxing experience. On top of that, the results themselves have been consistently careless. I've experienced cuts during appointments, and the finished nails often look poorly done or rushed, which is frustrating when you're paying for a service that's supposed to feel relaxing. I really wanted to like this place because of the convenience, but after multiple chances, I can't justify returning. Overall, very disappointing.

She didn't really speak to me other than to ask about the color I wanted and to check if the French was to my liking. It was fine since I prefer to just relax and not have to socialize when getting my nails done. My only complaint is that everyone was being offered a drink, and neither her or the person who sat me asked me if i wanted a drink or water. Anyway, I did like how my nails came out. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and the outcome was similar to what I asked for. I think the price was fair, although there is a discrepancy in the prices on their website and the price on their in person menu. I'd definitely come back!

I have been coming here for about a year and have always paid $70-$75 for frenchies which is reasonable. On Friday, I went in for the same service but its ridiculous that they charged me double for frenchies because I added an extra line of color. My total came out to be $93 for just a nail set. Im appalled because there was no other design. On top of that my appointment was at 1pm and I was already on my way and they wanted me to come in at 2pm, so I had to wait 35-40minutes to get seen. These nail salons are getting out of hand, I much rather support a small business.
