Love! The products range from whimsical to funky to kitschy, with a wide variety of price points. They have Jonathan Adler dog collars, Fossil purses, Seychelles shoes, and the cutest clothes I've seen in a long time. Great staff, very pleasant and helpful, with a great sense of humor. Not only does this store have great products and fashion, but the customer service is some of the best I've experienced. Each of the girls (Chelsea, Heather, Alexis) are so friendly and welcoming. This is the type of store I fear. The display window has interesting items that it draw me in. Before I know it I am buying things when I had no intention of pulling out my credit card. Although this specific location is small compared to the one I've shopped at in San Francisco, it doesn't disappoint. Half of the store is a collection of the coolest stuff you can find at Urban Outfitters plus Pier 1 plus Cost Plus World Market. The other half is filled with expensive boutiquey clothing and purses (and about 1/3 of the jewelry selection). The jewelry that is affordable is on-trend, reasonably priced and unique. I can never not stop by this store when I'm downtown. Whoever hired for this specific location gets a gold star. Every single time I've perused their selection of trinkets and goodies, whoever is working is genuinely friendly and willing to help. It's like shopping with your best friend, even if your best friend isn't there. Nevertheless, Therapy is the single greatest addition to Downtown Pleasanton since I've been alive. read more

zomgggggg I got all my xmas shopping done for every chick in my family in one stop! They even gave me extra tissue paper to wrap everything. Price points for good gifts were around $20 a pop, and with 4 sisters, you know you have to keep to your $20 per person budget or you'll go broke. I love this store - I wanted almost everything in it. I will return with xmas cash to treat myself to one-of-a-kind necklaces and earrings, cute owl wallets, teeny gnome-shaped tea lights, and mushroom salt and pepper shakers. Such a fun store! And the service is unbelievable--friendly, knowledgable, fun and enthusiastic. I have shopped here for three years and I have yet to be disappointed. I have bought really cute clothes, scarves, toys and a really fun French bistro replica clock for our house. I was in today because they ordered some items for me and called me to say they were in. Today Olivia was helping me and then another equally great saleswoman--who ordered my items earlier-joined her. The electricity went out in building housing the store and the store was busy. These two did not miss a beat. They checked on customers in dressing rooms, explained what was happening, apologized--not their fault!--and helped each other check people out including myself. I am from Seattle and I spent years of my life at the flagship Nordstrom store back when the service was incredible. That is now no longer the case at Nordy's especially in the Bay Area. But today I experienced that incredible level of service at Therapy, as well as having fun and coming home with some fun clothes! read more

Absolutely love this place! I wondered into this shop looking to put a gift together for my friends birthday. I was having such a hard time until I came here! There are so many lovely and unique things here! Books, figures, jewelry, humorous nicknacks everything I needed to put a gift together. The handmade jewelry is the coolest but watch the prices can get a little high. I bought a "?" ring made from an old typer writer key which fit my Gravity Falls themed present. It was a well spent $30 (but the price made me hesitate a little). The back of the store has unique clothing with hit or miss pricing. I found a long winter cardigan for $70 I passed on it at first but a week later I came back for it because I couldn't find anything better since it had set the bar to high for competing cardigans! Therapy has such a unique shopping experience. I'm happy that a location finally opened up much closer to me, as the other locations were pretty far out of my way. They draw you in with a bunch of knick knacks placed in their storefront display case and in the front of the store. You can find anything from coin purses to mugs, planners to books, wallets to greeting cards all in the front section. These can make great gift items (If you're christmas shopping for teens STOP BY), especially for people who enjoy unique cute items. Speaking for their women's fashion, they have a large selection (for a boutique), which was surprising seeing as the store was small. They carry some name brands (Free People), some boutique brands (Jack., PIKO 1988), and some brands that I have never seen before. However, when you walk in you have to have that browsing mindset--if you are in search of something in particular, you might be let down! They also have some clothing and accessories for men. In terms of fashion, think a mix of urban outfitters, thrift store, and hipster items. Overall, this place is pretty sick. I'll be checking in from time to time! Most of the things here are out of my budget but it's a great place to walk around and browse. I almost always gravitate towards the books. They have a fantastic selection of gift books, art books, coffee table books -- my favorites were BEHIND CLOSED DOORS (pictures of some of the 'most creative people' in the world, ranging from Martha Stewart to Courtney Love), the Grumpy Cat book, and a neat book on furniture customization. Do want! I actually ended up buying an art journal. Usually I buy my books used but with art journals you kind of have to get it new because it's no fun to buy a workbook everyone else has already written in. It's called 642 THINGS TO WRITE ABOUT, so at least I get more bang for my buck! Therapy has a lot of novelty items, like clips shaped like little cows or chemistry vials, "bitch citation notices," rings made from typewriter keys, fancy hats, etc. There are cool hipster clothes but they don't seem to carry plus-sizes, so I would probably never shop here to get my clothing fix. The employees are very helpful and seem to know the products well. I've never had bad service here, ever. read more

It's such a cool store with unusual items. Some things are expensive and a bit overpriced however there are items for all budgets. I was bummed out because Therapy used to carry men's jeans that were great however the line was discontinued. It's hard to go in there and not buy something. This store!!!! I had a blast shopping in this store! I went there on my way to my car after hitting up the new Starbucks that they put in... I have to say that the lady working that day was cracking me up! You can tell she loves what she does and she is definitely the right person to be in customer service... There are very few people that I can say that is fit for customer service but she is very much a fit for it... I left with a gag gift for my roommate and then I went back not even 3 minutes later to pick up stuff for myself! Been here twice and love, love, love the selection. It's unique, edgy, and fun. They are so friendly and very helpful. I couldn't decide between two coats. I love therapy despite where it is located, and no matter how big/small the store is mainly due to the consistency of merchandise available and the quality of clothes and accessories. I have to mention here that I was at this location helping my friend pick up a dress for an event. We found several beautiful ones and she picked up a gorgeous lace trim olive green dress for a very reasonable price. I have been to the stores in Mountain View and in Campbell and feel that this one is smaller than both the stores in those locations. They had just one person to service the store eventhough it was the weekend and she wasn't as friendly as the one's in other locations, however, we found what we needed. The selection is not wide, however, what is available is the consistency in the quality, style and design of the store. Will be back if in the area. read more

A friend told me to go here for cute little gifts or knick knacks, stocking stuffer items. And boy was she right, adorable items, things I would assume I would only find in SF not little ole' Pleasanton! My friend also said to 'avoid the clothing, too overpriced'. Again, right on the money, cute clothes but WAY overpriced. Therapy has a very stringent 'no refund' policy, store credit only within 14 days but no other refunds available. Which usually doesn't bother me, but when you see a strict policy like this, I immediately feel a store must have overextended themselves and therefore are cash hungry. Which immediately makes me leary of falling in love, my heart is tender to my retail stores and I can't afford to have a 'go to' place that 'whoops, not there anymore'. Overall I had a good experience and found a couple of 'must have' items that made me chuckle but with their stringent 'no refund' attitude and policy, I'll be sure my purchases are forever worth it. read more

This place is so cute! I found this place as I was waiting to meet up with my friend for lunch, and couldn't help but walk in. They have all kinds of cool novelty items. From jewelry, to moleskin journals (love!) to accessories for your house, this place is a great place to find a one of a kind item. In the back of the store, they carry women's clothing, and a small selection of handbags and shoes. I ended up only getting a pair of orange knee high socks with the word "cheese" written vertically on it. Can't wait to wear them to the gym! The girls working there are also very friendly.
