I had to stand in line for FORTY FREAKING MINUTES while those guys at the counter jabberred and jabberred like best buddies having a beer about the merits of this weapon or that one. I have SERIOUS back issues and it was shear freaking misery for me to do this. I told the guy who finally waited on me, "Hey, man. I know you don't run this place, but my wait to buy these primers was just NOT ACCEPTABLE. Perhaps you ought to have two lines? One for lookie lous and one for people who actually want to BUY SOMETHING?" I made a point of being calm and nice, even though my back was afire. I told him politely that they would NEVER see my face again at that counter. I'd rather pay the UPS hazard fee than stand in line for 45 minutes. That's a NO BRAINER. The guys who run that place HAVE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS' EXPERIENCES. Not. Ever. That's why they s**k.

I came here a few days ago looking for vertical ascend gear out of caves. I was greeted by Jason and he was really helpful and knowledgeable. I needed very specific gear, and Jason was very patient with me and showed me where I could find sit harnesses, chest harness, chest ascender, hand ascende, foot loops, etc. I didn't find exactly what I needed but got a good idea on the things I need to build a personalized vertical gear set for myself. And of course, while I was looking for cave gear, I wandered around looking at all the fabulous gear they have, I was like a kid in a candy store. I could spend hours in here. I started looking at hydration packs as I need to replace mine and found a very nice military edition and will come back to purchase this soon. I also saw plenty of Petzl bags, and very tempted to purchase another. They also carry so much Petzl gear, you will be in heaven here. Also, some great hiking shoes and some sleek, but we'll performing water shoes. I then wandered into kayaks and Jason even showed me the Padillac they have! I've gotten into paddleboarding and kayaking for the summer and now want one of each! This place rents them and sells them. I then went to check out some wetsuit gear, and they have a really nice selection of wetsuits, gloves, booties, etc. I really love this place and it is definitely gonna bankrupt me, but so worth it. I brought in a large amount of camping gear to sell including two sleeping bags, inflatable beds,…read morepillows, two large Ozark Trail coolers, Ford Expedition camping chairs, a tent that was used only once, a $170 Blackstone table griddle that had never been used and originally cost $170, a camping toilet that had never been used and other items. Because it was extremely hot outside, I went inside to cool off while hubby handled things with the employee. After he unloaded everything at the back of the store, the employee came over and said "thanks for your trouble" and handed me a $20 bill. I have consigned clothing, designer handbags, and sold books, sporting goods and household items to different businesses so I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit. I also know used items are worth much less than retail, but $20 for that entire load felt incredibly insulting and completely unreasonable given the amount and condition of the gear. It just did not sit right with me. I went back inside and asked for our things back. We loaded everything back into the truck and brought it back home. I decided I would much rather donate it all to a nonprofit where I know the items will actually help someone which will make me feel so good rather than accept $20 for everything. I would have actually preferred getting no offer at all. I'm sure this works for some people but based on my personal experience, cannot recommend selling here expecting a remotely fair offer.
