Moreover, they include broth bones where there are still tiny morsels of meat still attached. As of it wasn't already giving my mama's house, you can also find nước mắm on the tables where you can concoct a whole dipping situation. Ten. What really sold me was #23 - tôm chua đu đủ Đặc biệt. It's so simple - fermented shrimp, pork belly, herbs, and some rice. This is my favorite comfort dish. I was craving banh canh early morning on a Saturday, and this was one of the only places open. You know a restaurant is going to be fire when they only specialize in a handful of items. We got the bun bo hue and the banh canh with thick soup. Both dishes came out really fast in massive bowls. I was a little skeptical at first because the broth in the BBH looked pale, but was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. The banh canh was flavorful as well. Meat is very tender. Plenty of fresh vegetables and herbs. Safe chili is on point with smokiness and fresh bites of lemongrass. Noodles are cooked perfectly. Definitely in my top three for BBH places. Love how they have a fresh made shrimp patty in each bowl. Every bowl is literally decked with all the proper fixings. Surprisingly, it was not bad at all. It was almost a perfect bowl. It was just missing mam ruoc... Banh nam and Banh beo tasted fresh. It was so much better than the ones we had in SJ. The strawberry sugarcane was 3/5 I love the color contrast of the sugarcane, but I wish it tasted more like strawberry and sugarcane in between. The bun Bo hue I would give it a 3/5 the broth was decent, great flavor, and aromatics. The meat was delicious, great texture, and easy to chew. The noodles were soft, chewy, and smooth. We ordered two different noodles bowls so we can try the broth. The soup is flavorful and not overly spicy (so I added chili peppers), the ingredients of pig blood were surprisingly good. The noodles cooked to perfection, and the meatballs are flavorful. I just wish the temperature of the soup was a bit hotter. It was room temperature hot. I recently stopped by here because I was craving a bowl of bbh(bun bo hue) and hubby wanted mq(mi quang). Bbh was sorta disappointing - my bowl came out just lukewarm and the flavors were just lacking. I didn't get the typical aromatic garlic/lemongrass aroma that you should get from a good bowl of bbh. Some of the protein was a bit tough and come on pls add some more tendon! My husband said his mq was good.
