Stopped by this bakery in the morning since it's not far from the hotel where we staying. The place was busy and the line pretty steady and the people behind the counter took people order promptly. . This bakery famous for their sticky bun but I was in the mood for coffee lattes, chocolate croissant, and blueberry muffin. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas and they also sells some cook books, shirts, and some knick knack for tourist like me.

I don't have enough good things to say about this bakery. I originally only planned on going once to try it out, but found myself going back every day on my trip to try different items. Everything I ordered was just great, and really makes the decision to get coffee and breakfast at a local shop a no-brainer. The savory and sweet pastries were all fantastic, and the coffee was also a perfect blend of sweetness to bitter. I feel confident that you'll be happy with anything you order here.

This cafe was cute, had lots of natural lighting, and a good variety of drinks, pastries, and small bites. I only came here for a quick bite before I had work and thought that it wasn't a bad spot. I got a vanilla latte here and their yogurt bowl with granola. I thought that the vanilla latte was a bit too sweet for me and my friend and I both thought that their yogurt bowl was a bit cheesy (like a cheesecake-type of flavor--not bad but not great). Nonetheless, the space had free wi-fi and was a good environment to start my day with and get some work done.

Cute spot! Nice iced latte and the lemon ginger scone was absolutely delicious! Bathroom is in a hallway and needs a code to enter, but could be a little cleaner. Staff was nice, and good seating area.

Best place to grab a quick coffee to go before heading to work in the town! Located conveniently right next to the commuter rail. The service is faster and it's also a good place to have brunch with coworkers. My personal fav is sticky bun if you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it for the sugar tooth folks out there!

I stopped by while waiting for a train back to NY out of Back Bay and was pleasantly surprised! It was the perfect spot to grab breakfast/lunch and was not too far from the station. I had the smoked chicken salad sandwich which was served in a delicious cranberry sourdough bread. The bread was very fresh and soft and had some crunch in it with some seeds they added to the bread. I also took home one of the sticky buns which was similar to a cinnamon roll but with some crunchy toasted pecans on top! Definitely recommend trying both of these if you stop by! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Boston!

Stopped in here for a quick bite and hot bev. It was so, so busy and there was no available seating. We had to stalk patrons (ashamed, I know) so that we could at least share 1 seat for two people while we eat. I ended up only getting an almond flour pistachio macaroon and a hot tea -- figured those would be good options if we ended up having to order and leave. Both were nice, no complaints. Next time, hopefully we'll get lucky and its not so busy so we can order more items and get to enjoy them inside.

If I only had one last brunch to eat on earth, I'd want it to be Flour! Specifically, their open face BLT sandwich (with added poached egg) and their chai latte. The BLT sandwich was perfect with runny egg on the top (wasn't that messy to eat with a fork and knife), and the chai latte was comforting and had the perfect balance of spice and milk/tea. Eating this meal at the bar seating by their window, looking out into a lovely fall morning, was absolute perfection.

Very busy location at times but definitely worth the wait! They serve some of the BEST quiche I've ever had! The mushroom quiche was so moist and flavorful, along with the delicious side salad. It's hard to venture away to other menu items when the quiche is so good! One of my favorites for brunch/breakfast! Also love the amazing service at this location & clean bathrooms!

This is my second time trying Flour and my first time at this location and, let me just say, it NEVER disappoints. I got their egg sandwich, which I was informed is their best-seller, and I can definitely see why. The egg was a creamy, tender texture and the saltiness from the bacon paired perfectly with the creamy aioli, crisp tomato, and peppery arugula. Not to mention the soft texture of the delicious brioche bun! I highly recommend this sandwich for breakfast! It was also a pretty decent size for the price. Of course, I paired mine with a matcha which, though it isn't the best in the city, it's a pretty good contender and great to have alongside Flour's other delicious food. I would recommend asking for less sweetener, though. I will say, this location was pretty crowded and it was hard to find a table during breakfast time. But the workers are extremely sweet and fast serving. They even helped us find a place to sit! Other than the business, the business has such positive, energizing vibes and I could easily sit in there all morning and afternoon sipping some coffee, eating a sandwich, hanging out with friends, or just getting some work done!

Nice coffee/breakfast/lunch place with indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is not that comfortable and definitely not made for comfortable lounging/working or hanging out. The menu has some nice choices. Breakfast sandwich had fresh tomato and arugula but the square shaped egg maybe was frozen? Not sure but didn't seem freshly made. The bread was just ok. I got a dirty chai latte which was delicious. A pricey little meal. The pastries looked delicious with prices around $5/avg. I didn't get any but would loved to have tried. Very visually appealing!

A great spot to grab pastries and a brekky sandwich. I got the egg sandwich with bacon and my husband got the roast beef. We also got the sticky bun and cookie. Everything was delicious. I loved the softness of the ciabatta bread as well. The sticky bun was the star of the show for me. The pecans on the sticky bun were perfect caramelized. You can also order through their website online as well. A great spot for breakfast!

The matcha was very creamy and you could tell they put a lot loved into their pastries. I loved the flavor of their matcha and also their natural juice that had all my favorite things. The line was bit long but it went by really quick and was well worth the wait to enjoy a Delicious drink. You can't go wrong when you order from Flour Bakery and Cafe. They are amazing!

I went with two scoops, black raspberry and brownie chocolate, and the brownie was killer. Rich, chocolatey, and totally worth standing outside in 30 degree weather to eat it. I said, "Yes please, I'd like M&Ms." The server, and another person working behind the counter, both told me that they just ran out of M&Ms. They didn't have any more. This was weird to me. As I was walking to the the shop, I passed a person who had a small cup of ice cream with both m&m's and oreo topping. Okay, I thought. That's weird but so be it. Then, I scootch over to look at the rest of the toppings and what do I see? M&Ms. I point out the M&M's to the employee and ask, "hey, aren't those M&M's?" They mumbled something back that I didn't exactly catch. They either said "those are closed" or "those are skittles" or "it's not those". "those are closed" makes no sense because they asked if I wanted toppings and it was 2 and a half hours before they closed. "those are skittles" makes no sense because they don't carry skittles as a topping... The whole experience was perplexing to me. Anyways, JP Licks is pretty overrated and too expensive. $6.5+ for the smallest size is not worth it. They have some decent flavors (cookies n' cake batter) though and the ice cream is usually pretty well executed and not icy. still, not really a place i'd recommend and won't be going back for a while after this freak incident. Attached photos are the proof that they had M&Ms. Note the "M" on the candy and the blue colored candies (they don't make blue skittles)

We walked into a building with the kind of architectural character that chain bookstores cannot manufacture, with small rooms opening into each other across multiple floors, wallpapered walls, and reading nooks distributed throughout that invite you to slow down rather than move through quickly. The book selection is well curated with staff recommendation cards on the shelves that actually reflect genuine enthusiasm rather than perfunctory notes. We saw limited edition hardcovers and local and regional titles appearing alongside the broader fiction and nonfiction selection. Browsing felt productive rather than overwhelming because the curation kept things focused. The kids section upstairs is one of the more delightful in Boston, with a train running along a track near the ceiling that tends to make a strong impression on younger visitors. There is also an art print vending machine on the second floor that draws its own audience of visitors looking for something small and specific to take home. The cafe occupies the lower level and operates as a separate experience from the bookshop above. We ordered the oat milk cappuccino with Vermont maple syrup, which was worth it. The morning glory scone and the popovers are two other items to consider. The cafe is tiny, around eight tables inside with a small patio, and reservations are recommended for breakfast and afternoon tea service. Pricing at the cafe is on the higher end, and certain fixed price service formats on specific dates push it considerably further, so checking current pricing before booking is worth doing. For a bookshop that doubles as a destination in its own right, Beacon Hill Books and Cafe delivers a cozy, curated experience that rewards lingering.
