    Iced vanilla latte
    Sydney M.

Have only been for coffee and can't wait to come back and try food (really want to go on a week night to try the ice cream sandwiches) but great coffee (iced vanilla latte is a classic but well done!) and super cute vibe with the window. Wish there was a little more seating to be able to sit with friends and enjoy after ordering!

Saw some good reviews about this place so decided to drop by in the morning. Was very happy with the croissant that I got, very buttery and flakey, just what I like in the croissant. The vanilla latte I got was on the sweeter side, so be wary of that if you don't like your coffee sweet. Make sure you swirl and mix the drink up well otherwise all sweet syrup kind of just sits towards the bottom.

They have a great walkup window that got a "The Ham" & "The Roast Beef" both were on high quality bread with nice flavors. I have gotten their coffee before and enjoyed it but went with an iced tea which was very nice. It's a great spot to see nice dogs with lots of parks in the area.

I've heard amazing things about Greystone, so I was very excited to jump at an opportunity to stop by one morning! The interior is pretty large, especially for South End standards, so it seems like a nice spot to sit and relax. The staff are also super friendly and nice, so it really feels like a local neighborhood staple. I ordered an almond croissant and a mocha. The almond croissant was delicious and definitely something I'd order again. The mocha unfortunately was not my favorite at all... it honestly didn't taste like much to me besides just milk. I'm not sure if they just had an off day, but I was disappointed after hearing all the hype. I hope to give this place another try one day!

Lovely neighborhood coffee shop! Right in the middle of brick stone buildings. Can get really busy in the morning! A lot of locals walking over to get a cup There is a to go kiosk and another order station indoors for people staying. Decently sized space. No laptop in the middle community table!

    Breakfast sandwich and chai latte

Breakfast sandwich is delicious. I love that it includes toppings beyond a normal sandwich, like the spicy mayo and arugula. The bread was perfectly toasted, everything tasted super fresh. Also the chai is great, not too sweet.

Visiting friends in the South End this weekend who recommended Greystone Cafe for a hearty and healthy lunch! We tried the turkey sandwich, BLT, and spring harvest bowl. We absolutely loved everything!! We loved the lemon and sundried tomato combination of the spring harvest bowl. We also really loved the mustard on the turkey sandwich!! Also not pictured were the date balls - I tried both the lemon pistachio and coconut cashew! They were the perfect sweet treat to top off a delicious lunch. I would suggest adding a chocolate chip variation of the coconut cashew for us chocolate lovers!!

Wide selection of coffees and pastrjes. It was super busy this saturday morning but the mine moved fast. There was some seating available but unfortunately not enough with the crowd. But great for grab & go.

The perfect coffee counter tucked away in the city! I came on a Saturday morning and the line at the counter was quite long. They were running out of some of their pastries but they had a very extensive menu. I really enjoyed my iced vanilla latte. It was definitely more on the bitter side and I usually enjoy a sweeter coffee but I still very much enjoyed this one. Will certainly be back

I LOVE this spot! It has to be one of my favorite cafe's in all of Boston! Although it definitely gets busy at times, when you're lucky enough to snag a table, this is the perfect place to enjoy a full lunch or a light snack with friends. The atmosphere is bustling with a refreshingly joyful vibe and all the food the menu has to offer is amazing! I have no notes on this spot. You must try it!! I definitely recommend their matcha latte (it's the perfect balance of creamy, earthy, and sweet) as well as any baked good. Their banana bread is delicious: so moist, flavorful, and fluffy! If you want some baked goods though, make sure you go earlier in the day before they run out or stop serving breakfast. And be sure to check their menu for specials!

I came to greystone for the first time to try the summer chippy series (ice cream sandwiches with grey stone cookies and Toscanini ice cream). This is such a treat! I love this idea for the summer and that they have unique flavors every week. I tried the flavor of the week "london fog" which was lavender cookies with earl grey ice cream, I was skeptical as someone who doesn't usually prefer fragant flavors but it was a good combo. Still sweet and decadent and like nothing I have had before. I will say it is an expensive sweet treat ($9-10), but a treat for sure. Service was super friendly, despite the dreary day, and made great recommendations!

Flat white ( burnt tasting beans), matcha latte- very meh. Not worth
    Hillary W.

Yes, this is a cute cafe but the quality of drinks aren't there yet. The flat white tasted like burnt coffee beans and the matcha latte was not strong at all- very milky based and the color was grey light grey green which means poor quality matcha. It tasted sweet and the barista didn't ask me if I wanted it sweetened or anything. Maybe the food here is better from other reviews but there's also many other options around the area.

Iced Matcha Latte w/ oat milk and their specialty strawberry almond homemade syrup @teeeeeeeeeeem
    Timothy L.

Great vibes overall, but drinks are just average and service was just okay. I got their Iced Matcha Latte w/ oat milk and their specialty strawberry almond homemade syrup but I barely tasted any matcha as it was completely overpowered by the strawberry almond homemade syrup. I also ordered a Matcha Dulcey Choc Cookie which was never given to me - and because my friends and I were in a rush, I forgot about it as well and left :/ Total came out to $10.56 for the drink and the cookie.

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid gluten-free options.

There's a small park with shaded benches about 2 blocks away (Elliot Norton Park) which is a great place to sit down and devour the food. I ordered the Mission Breakfast Burrito and it was delicious. As of August 2026, the website lists the burrito as $14, but the price on the in-person menu was $16. I would give the burrito 4 out of 5 stars because of the way it was wrapped - about a third of the burrito was just egg and cheese and the toppings (avocado, red onion, hash browns, salsa verde, crema) were crammed on the other side of the burrito. If there was a way for the burrito to be wrapped so all the ingredients were more evenly distributed - this would easily be a 5/5 breakfast burrito. One random detail that stuck out to me was that their drinks in their refrigerator were very cold - no lukewarm sodas here! I would come back here to try their signature "Fancy" sandwich. Overall, this is a very solid breakfast spot in Boston!

Won't go back. Wish I had pictures, sorry. I wasn't thinking about a review. After a 15/20 minute wait, in an effort to seat us quickly, they sat us at a table that was wet, with water, and sticky from what was presumably the last table's syrup. There were 2 open, used, nips of syrup on the table that they hadn't seen or bothering to pick up. The ambiance/decor was very confusing, a lot of colors and patterns. It wasn't quirky (I've been to quirky done well), it was bordering on scatterbrained? I joked that the place was meant to be visually confusing so that you wouldn't see the lack of cleanliness. We asked for napkins to wipe our table and we were given napkins to clean it ourselves. I mean sure it was what we had asked for but when I asked in the past, someone came over with a rag and cleaner and cleaned it for us so I was a little underwhelmed with that one. Also, the table was visibly not ready because my partner noticed some hesitation in the guy before he sat us and instead of saying, "wait let me get someone to clean it for you" he sat us anyway. The entire placed smelled like a mix of dirty water and wet dog. In all fairness we should've gotten up and walked out but the restaurant was packed, so we were assuming the food must be good and we were hungry. The first two appetizer plates were got were dirty and my boyfriend's silverware. We asked for new ones. The second two were also not exactly clean but not as bad as the first. We opted to eat our appetizer from the plate it came on. We ordered the Some Like it Tot. It was cool, nothing to write home about. Expected it to be more crunchy (they are tater tots after all). I ordered the mimosa flight. Only one of the drinks had any semblance of alcohol in it. They were... oddly not good? Like not bad, but not great. The flavors on the menu sounded like they should've been great together but what served me was disappointing. I got the cookie monster pancakes. Maybe 2 stars. Very mid and uninspired. Unimpressed. The pancakes were middle of the road. Not great not bed. Best thing about this place were the nips of maple syrup. My boyfriend ordered the Monster breakfast. Also mid. The home fries were not well seasoned. Will not be returning. I'm assuming they need to pay their staff better or hire ones who care or can cook. Our server was kind though.
