Overall a good breakfast. Pancakes were solid and the eggs were cooked to order. The bacon was cooked well and crispy.

My guest and I were impressed and blown away, respectively, by the tasty, balanced, inexpensive dishes that came from this humble sit-in restaurant. If you're feeling like low-key American dishes, put this place on the list for either takeout or dine-in. The spinach omelet was cooked with a minimum of oil, which I can appreciate from a health perspective, although it probably could have used salt. It was complemented by home fries that probably should have been cut a bit thinner, to improve the ratio of crispy to soft. My turkey club was fantastic - fresh lean turkey, a thin layer of mayo, crispy bacon, slightly toasted bread for texture without being so crisp as to snap when I ate it, compromising sandwich cohesion. To echo another reviewer: I usually avoid bacon, but the way they cook it here yielded crispness all the way across, which made it feel totally worth it. The fries were gone in moments - crisp, but not oily. There was a healthy rotation of specials on the whiteboards, plenty of regulars coming in and out for takeout, a friendly and familial wait staff, and a proud atmosphere. Don't be scared off by the facade of the building. Dover is quickly becoming another great downtown area in northern NJ!

Stopped in for a late morning breakfast at Three Brothers this week. This is a nice, small, old fashioned place in the heart of Dover. I decided on eggs with hash browns. The food was fine, but a little dry, next time I think I'll choose something a little more daring. Service was friendly and the prices definitely reasonable. Dover seems in the midst of a renaissance. Construction and renovations going on everywhere. Lots of little places like Three Brothers worth checking out. This is a town to keep an eye on the next few years!

Oh my gosh - I love being so pleasantly surprised!! I admit I wasn't expecting much. The place we wanted to go to apparently burned down (yikes), so we were looking for second options in walking distance. And Yelp did not lead us wrong. This cute little hole in the wall gave me the best breakfast I've had out in a while. The waffle is really good - more of a savory than sweet batter, just right for sharing with something sweet like fruit or syrup (though I dearly wish they used real syrup, which they do not, alas). Husband's omelette with Taylor Ham was fantastic, perfectly cooked. His fries were tasty and made us think of Wendy's from our youth. My eggs were actually cooked right - medium with crisp edges. The bacon I asked for crispy - a dangerous proposition, since most places either ignore that and produce chewy salted leather, or burn the hell of it. Not here. The bacon was crisp and flavorful and delicious. Seriously. This is great. Friendly staff, good portion size, good price - cash only, so you know, but it's worth it. We take the train here often, and it's so good to find a decent breakfast place so close. You won't regret a visit.

Very much a hole in the wall place, you'd probably miss it. But the food was delicious :) and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Coffee was good as well. Great place for small groups of people.

    Quite little diner...

Omg, you have to eat here. Smaller restaurant tucked away in the middle of town. The food and service were outstanding.

My daughter is obsessed with the spicy jambalaya arancini and I can see why. They are the perfect size, with rice, sausage, spice and are just yummy goodness. There were 4, so we let her have 2. She ordered the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. You can never go wrong with the wraps! Hubby got a cup of the cream of chicken soup. He said the veggies were a little too crunchy but overall flavorful. For lunch he ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. It was a bit pricey. I went with the Peruvian chicken bowl. Two pieces of chicken, white rice, plantains, veggies and sauce. Yum! We of course loved the brown bread and butter but saved just a bit of room for a piece of Reese's PB chocolate cheesecake. Get it! We were all silent as we ate it which is the sound of a happy tummy!

But the line to just get deserts was open. Just some door dash workers getting their order. The worker asked us if he could help us and we provided our order. Two cheesecakes to go. Then he had me pay and when he printed the receipt for me to sign, there was an open space to add for a tip. I typically don't tip when getting an order for take out. The worker looked at the receipt and smirked. We then received a stapled bag with our desserts. My wife opened it when we returned to the car and noticed the cheesecake slices were very small. Almost half of the pieces that were on display. Note: The two cheesecakes cost $24. I believe once the worker noticed no tip for our take out order, he deliberately gave us the smallest pieces. The restaurant manager should look into this to avoid future customer service issues like the one we experienced today. If you do use this restaurant, take notice and open the bag to inspect the food before you leave. Or just give a big tip to avoid it all together

This store is located in a small strip mall on Rt 46 in Rockaway. There are a few seats inside, but it's mostly takeout. There's a good size sandwich menu, along with daily specials listed on a separate board. I chose a sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll, and my wife had Taylor ham, eggs, and cheese, on a bagel. Both sandwiches were very good! They also have some good looking pastries and muffins. They were so tempting, as a matter of fact, we brought a blueberry and chocolate chip muffin home! Our server was very friendly. When I asked about a pastry in the case, she gave me one to try. That's great customer service!

The portions were really big, leaving plenty of leftovers. We ordered the chicken sandwich, penne vodka with chicken, pechuga a la Columbiana, pechuga empanizada, fried plantains, and yellow rice. All of the dishes felt subpar in flavor. While nothing was bad, it all felt very average. I enjoyed the mushroom sauce with the chicken, but nothing stood out in the flavor. The pechuga empanizada felt a tad over cooked as well. We also ordered the tres leches which followed a similar theme of not having much flavor. Id likely give this place another shot to see if the experience dining in is better.

I ordered a pork loin with rice and soup: the soup was fairly good, the pork had been pounded thin and then fried until it had absolutely no flavor, the rice had utterly no taste, and a couple of tostones had the toughness of cardboard and tasted awful. At least two pieces of maduros weren't completely dry, although they weren't very good. Food has to be handled with care and passion to be any good, and my food clearly was handled with indifference, at best. Half of one star is for the waitress who tried, and the other half a star is for the immense television on the back wall showing a soccer game.

I thought tonight I would try something new but alas I went with one of my favorites. The braised beef ravioli with sautéd onions and mushrooms in a delightful sauce and some grape tomatoes is amazing. I enjoyed their salad before which was fresh and satisfying to round out my meal. We started the evening with the fig sangria. Honestly their sangria's are the best around. We like the seasonal ones and this didn't disappoint. Fig vodka, Merlot and more, check out the listing of cocktails for ingredients. Hubby had the comforting potato leak soup which comes in a humongous serving and sloppy Joe sandwich. Protein joy for him and he didn't eat all the bread because there was so much stuffed in the sandwich. It comes with these delightful chips. Get them Instead of fries, you won't be sorry.
