This spot definitely has that dive bar vibe. The wings were great, but the chicken on my salad was pretty dry. Service was on the slower side, though the overall atmosphere was fun and laid-back. Solid 3.5 stars.

*sigh* I just wanted good wings and a decent margarita. Boy was I at the wrong place. I ordered boneless wings & fries. The wings were VERY over cooked. Hard as a rock and dry inside. I ate 3 out of like 12 or something and then just sent them away cause they were gross. I finished the over cooked stale tasting cause I was starving. I had informed my very sweet waitress that the wings weren't really edible when I had her take them away. Imagine my surprise when they showed up on my check!? When she came to get my card from me I asked for the manager and told her I wasn't going to pay for wings that I sent back to the kitchen. After many many minutes my waitress came back and said the manager refused to take the wings off the bill. This guy didn't have the balls to come tell me that myself - He wanted me to take my frustration out on my waitress. Clearly a human of class and integrity. Instead I over tipped her and left. Avoid this place. It's outdated the food is horrible and the only time they are busy is during trivia night and that's because the host is a super cool dude. I knew I shoulda gone to Fork in the Road. Never. Again.

20 piece wings 10-dry lemon pepper, 10 wet lemon pepper.

As ever, this Three Dollar Cafe serves up good food! I love the Mediterranean nachos, but only in-store. Tonight, I did a little taste-testing adventure! I got wings from Wings R Us (do NOT recommend), Mr. Cue's II (definitely recommend), and here. The results? You'll be delighted to find that the Three Dollar Cafe wins the ranch and lemon pepper wings contest. Mr. Cue's II wins the spicy wings contest. I called in my order and it was done within 12 minutes (within the window they told me it would take). The wings were great and they were fried up just right! The medium wings weren't drenched, so they were easy to eat without getting covered in sauce. Their sauce has a slightly sweet tang to it, and the spiciness is just enough to sit in your mouth without making your mouth really burn. Very good. They could've been a touch spicer, but I did like the sweet mess too! The wet lemon pepper wings are made with real butter - it just adds a wonderfully mild sweetness and richness to the sauce. However, all the lemon flavor comes from the dry seasoning. It works though. They COULD add a touch of real lemon juice, but it would probably mess up the richness of the butter. I dunno. The dry lemon pepper wings are just as good, but since they don't have the butter sauce, they are straight-up salty, lemony, and peppery. I'm honestly so glad that I got both at the same time. I usually don't. I always wonder what the difference is. Now I know. I NEED both in order to switch it back and forth between the richness and the sourness. The restaurant is always darkly lit, but that's a standard bar atmosphere and I do love that they have all different kinds of seating arrangements as well as a private party room or balcony area. (Don't wanna be out there in the cold though.) Obviously, I'll be back. The only problem I had was with the phone. When I tried to call in my order the first two times, I got put on hold and hung up on. I called a 3rd time (befitting, after all...), and got my order in. Definitely a great place to meet friends, chill, grab a drink, have dinner with the family, watch the game, or even bring a cheap date. Although, NOT A FIRST or even second DATE....a THIRD date? Sure thing! Enjoy!

The sampler was amazing we enjoyed it, I tried the guacamole burger it was ok ,pretty filling I must say but my fiancé had the shrimp and grits which we didn't too much care for the grits they were lumpy but the shrimp and the sauce were good ,but maybe they could take the tails off shrimp that would be good but overall we love us some three dollar Cafe it's our go to spot for sure

This was my first time eating at 3 Dollar Cafe and it was your average bar/grill situation. This location specifically location specifically had a large Hispanic crew so the vibe was very Latin - pop/ rnb but I loved it. The prices are reasonable. My reason for taking off 1 star was because their hot honey garlic wings that I initially got were superrrrr greasy with no flavor or heat. However, Carly my waitress was amazing at getting my experience corrected. Her service was punctual, consistent, and friendly! I'd eat here again if I happened to be in the area.

I come here every once in a while because it's closer to my home. I have seen many owners come and go as well, so you never know what type of vibe or menu that you are going to get. I was craving a burger, so I decided to stop at the Three Dollar Cafe because the food is pretty good. The setup is pretty cool, and they also provide very nice upstairs patio seating. This is a great place to watch sports because they have tvs everywhere! The beer tap has an extensive selection. I do not recommend the mixed drinks. They are severely watered down, and you can't taste a drop of alcohol. I opted for a glass of wine but had to ask for a new glass because the one that I had was dirty on the inside. On a brighter note, my burger and sweet potato fries were delish! This place is, of course, known for its wings, so give those a try as well. They have a variety of drinks and food options.Three Dollar Cafe has a lot of potential and could even brew up a lot more traffic if they offered events throughout the week and weekend. I do believe that they have trivia on one day during the week, though. I do recommend The Dollar Cafe for good bar food and beer, but don't worry about the mixed drinks. I hope that this place will continue to thrive and become lots of fun in the future.

This is my new hang out near home! I love love love the baked wings! The ambiance is a tad dive bar but it's cute! It has a patio on top too! The service at the bar was perfect. She was always available for any and all things that we needed! The food is really good! I have had the tenders here too and they were amazing!

Fried fish. Battered really good. I think it's flounder

I've had their wings and fried fish sandwich. Both really good. I also love their giant mozzarella sticks. Only been here twice and I was pleased with service both times. My go to is the fish sandwich and the cheese sticks. They also have a good drink menu and have alcohol specials

Located in a neat downtown area with several other restaurants and some boutique style shops. Since it was a Monday evening many of them were closed. I decided to try Bigfoot's Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger (Grilled half pound angus burger topped with bacon and your choice of cheese. The peanut butter comes on the bottom bun for the added kick of flovor!). Other than being very messy, which I had to request extra napkins for (it appears that normally that they have paper towel rolls spaced around the bar top but was not near me), it was really good. The patty was cooked medium well and all the ingredients were tasty. Because of the mess I would probably not get it again. But that is the only reason. The tots were perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. It was not super crowded and other than having to ask for extra napkins, bartender was attentive. In addition to the bar top there are some tables as well. If I was back in the area would have no problems with returning and trying another burger, their prize winning wings or the "IDK What I Want" Sampler of 3 of their starter options.

I had gotten here around 4:30PM and went to the pool table, I had been waiting close to 15-20 minutes to be served. I just went to the bartender with a slicked back bun and wearing a burgundy shirt named "T" to ask for a drink since my friend had gotten there before me and said she had taken his order prior to me getting there. After waiting about 3 minutes at the bar, she approached me and rudely asked if I had been sitting by the pool tables. I replied and said "yes I'm sitting near the pool tables" and she responded rudely again and said she couldn't take my order and the server sitting in my section would take it. I had told her "okay, well I have been sitting here for a while waiting to be served and I wanted to order a drink" and she responded and said "well we didn't see you over there, go back to your table and I'll get your server" The server named Dom, took my order and I asked him for her name since he either saw/heard what happened. Bless his heart for trying to rectify the situation by bringing the food out quickly and being more pleasant. What makes the story worse, is that this bartender (after she yelled at me) went back to the pool tables where we were sitting to take away plates for another table she had already served and they were sitting one table over from us. So she served them (males) and my friend (another male) and felt like she refused to help or serve me. Overall, I would come back but definitely steering clear of that rude bartender that was very sarcastic and had a nasty attitude. Definitely go there on weekend nights when different bartenders are working and aren't as rude.

We have been wanting to try the bistro filet bites, but what we received was rancid. The meat was cooked, but it had a smell that I noticed only after biting into one, chewing, and immediately spitting it out. It was unbelievably foul-tasting and the worst meat I have ever put in my mouth, which was concerning. We were given a buffalo chicken flatbread that was swimming in so much hot sauce that we had to wipe some off the top to see, let alone, taste, what was underneath. All we did taste was straight up hot sauce. The Shepherd's Pie was a favorite, but the latest entree was largely cauliflower and broccoli with no green beans and no pan sauce. The vegetables are usually amazing and exactly what is pictured on the menu with green beans -- no broccoli or cauliflower in sight. I don't know WHAT is happening in the kitchen back there, but they definitely kicked things up a notch because everything I had was FANTASTIC during my last 2 visits. The beignets are probably the best item on the menu, but to be honest, I don't have one complaint about the wings (I got Honey Hot and they were well-flavored and saucy, just like I like them), and their cheese pizza has always been great. Also had the cinnamon pretzels and they came hot and so good, especially with the side of cream cheese dip. The rooftop is always cute for a hang-out (and, contrary to the downstairs area, remains for those 21 and up).
