It's a blessing and a curse having this place right down the road from me. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is so cozy and relaxed on the inside. I haven't found anything on the menu I don't love. Their Reuben can put some in New York to shame! Service has always been friendly and the food comes out fast. Although this is my favorite wing place. Today's to go order was a nightmare. None of the 3 things ordered were correct. The male manager accused me of ordering incorrectly and was absolutely worthless at reconciling the problem. He basically chalked it up to them being busy! So I have to start with saying that I love the wings at 3 dollar but the reasoning behind the 3 stars is the service is very lacking. It's seems like you have to greet yourself even when the manager is the host. I mean I'm might be fine to look at and all but a hello are something when you walk in the door usually works for most people. Pointing at a table because you don't wanna walk 4 feet is a little well I'll be blunt LAZY. Chatting about you hate working party's within ear distance of customers is very unprofessional. So I have to say I wasn't in hurry while on this last visit. But SLOW is something they must teach them. I went back the the Three Dollar Cafe for the first time since college and while the good was good the service was horrible. My friend waited the entire meal for mayo for his burger. The manager brought the good and was pretty nice but after that no one even stopped by our table until it was time to leave. It was like the good was there do why do we care about you. I like the place but this was one of my worst experiences at a restaurant. The place was also not very clean. read more

I do not understand why people flock to this place. Even my coworkers like it but every meal I've had there has been sub-par, borderline inedible. Maybe because i'm not from here I have different taste but I just don't get it...and now I see got a 68 on their latest health inspection with multiple infractions. Ive only ever ordered the wings and fries but hands down the best tasting wings Ive had in ATL. Their fries are also SO amazingly good - crispy thick semi wedge cut - I wish i could eat these more often but they tear my stomach apart (i have no issues with spice no clue what the deal is) even so, Ill still order on occasion and deal with the gut wrenching repercussions cause the wings are just that good. read more

I went there for lunch with my co-workers. I ordered fried mushrooms to share with everyone and a French dip sandwich. When the fried mushrooms came, they were huge! I got maybe 6 of them. None of my co-workers would even try them they looked so unappetizing. I have always gotten fried mushrooms with ranch dressing. These came with a horrible horseradish mix sauce that was repulsive. So I asked the waitress for a little ranch so I could at least eat them. She billed me almost a dollar on my bill for the ranch dressing. And in the end, the mushrooms were terrible. The French dip was OK, but not great. My bill was over $15 for this lunch which was not in anyway worth it! I will never go back! You couldn't pay me! read more

I have been coming to this location since 1987 and the food, service and quality hasn't dropped one bit. I have never been to a restaurant this much and received the exact same food each and every time! This is the original and the best for a reason. I have tried every other location they have had through the years without the same luck. I think all of those have been a try at franchising and did not result in the same quality. Roswell is definitely worth the drive (we drive 30 mins one way several times a month) from any location in the ATL for the BEST WINGS, HAMBURGERS, and CHICKEN and CHEESE sandwich!! On a recent visit here I had a delightful plate of wings. I'd eaten at this restaurant dozens of times, but recently returned to the area after seven years in NC. I had forgotten how spectacular the wings are; best ever. If you like wings, especially hot wings, this is the place. I first visited this establishment over four years ago. A friend of mine was living near Northridge and Roswell and this seemed like a good place to grab a beer. Naturally, I had heard the name Three Dollar Cafe, but had never tried it. Overall, it was exactly what I expected. A sports-bar type pub with a solid menu of bar fare. There are enough draft selections to keep you mulling it over, and plenty of bottled beer choices as well. Nothing I've eaten there has ever disappointed, but it is also not going to blow you away. The staff seems competent, if not overly friendly. Seriously, this bar exactly delivers what it looks like it promises -- it thoroughly meets the expectations you have for a popular sports pub on Roswell Road, even down to the inevitable people watching. I would recommend this as a casual place to meet friends, or even nurse a beer while you read the paper -- you won't be disappointed, but neither will you leave raving about it for days to come. I love the wings!! They could be the best in Atlanta! But that's the only reason that this place gets any stars at all. They only serve beer and wine yet, their beer selection is pretty lackluster with nothing of real interest and only one rotating tap. Sometimes it feels as if the waitstaff would rather be doing anything else instead of waiting on you. The NO HOT SAUCE ON THE SIDE rule for to-go orders just sucks! I've ordered just a sandwich and wanted some on the side so I could control just how much goes on it and been told NO. I've also ordered 200 wings for a large party and was told NO. I've ordered sauce on the side while dinning in and was told I couldn't have a top for the sauce they gave me when I asked for a box for my remaining wings. Worse is when you ask they don't even politely decline your told NO like your trying to steal a secret or something. HOT SAUCE NAZIS!! read more

Three Dollar Cafe is pretty good. It's your typical Americana fare. Their hot chicken tenders were fantastic. Hot enough to get my mouth watering but not too hot to not be enjoyable. I don't really like that their fries are frozen, but everything is tasty so I don't fault much. It's a little pricier than I'd like, but I love Three Dollar. read more

I just received the WORST service I have ever experienced from ANY restaurant at the sandy springs location last night. Apparently, they close at 11pm and I thought since they seated my party of three at 10:40pm, took our order and proceeded to serve us that they would at least have the decency to allow us to FINISH our meal!! They did not! At 11:15pm the short european heavyset female manager instructed our waiter to turn the lights off and kick us out of the door. I literally had to leave half of my meal on my plate! Perhaps you should only take carry out orders after 10:30p.m if waiting for an extra 20-30min. while paying customers actually complete their meal is going to kill you, when you've already decided to seat us in the first place! This was my second negative experience at this location involving poor customer service and my husband and I frequent this location often, up until last evening. Since you have displayed such poor service to paying customers, I'll be sure to share with everyone that I know about my experience including all social media sites. I'm utterly disgusted! read more
