We were the first customers when they opened at 12 PM last Sunday. Since we had about an hour drive home, we ordered everything to go. We didn't actually eat it until a couple of hours later, and I was honestly amazed at how fresh and delicious everything still was. The five-meat sampler we ordered consisted of pastrami, brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and sausage -- and every one of them was fantastic. The meats were tender and full of flavor, and the pastrami was incredibly juicy. The smoke flavor was just perfect -- not overpowering, but exactly what you want from great barbecue. And the baked beans were the best I've ever had! Every side we tried was excellent. Since it was our first time ordering, we had a few questions, and the take out service was extremely friendly, helpful, and patient with us while we placed our order. That made the experience even better. I give Tucker's Smokehouse a 10 out of 10. We can't wait to make the journey out east again just to come back here. Highly recommend this place!

We travel from Long Island to Connecticut on the cross sound ferry from Orient Point to New London CT. We wrote the place on Monday because they were closed asking if they could have an order ready at noon to go! We got a quick response saying it would be ready at noon and it was. The guys at the shop are very nice and incredibly accommodating. Places clean and cool! We did an order of the brisket... Pulled pork jalapeño sausage their brisket baked beans and cornbread that I almost fainted over. All the food was hot fresh and amazingly good! At the Alabama barbecue sauce which is my new favorite Made the best Ferry we've ever had! Plan your ferry ride to come afternoon stop and get some barbecue and be the best ride you ever had! Or even better sit in the place and have a couple of beers and enjoy it. This place is worth a visit!

My daughter and her husband started going there all the time…read more then the whole family either go there or order . Sushi :one of the best/and I did eat it all over the world, including Japan. / But everything else is also very good/. Atmosphere: friendly, not too much noise, especially in the main dining room. Service : fast, personal, very professional but at the same time family like style. I bring my friends there, set up my meetings. And the prices are...human.

A Loyal Customer's Disappointment…read more I've been going to Legends for over 20 years, so writing this review is honestly disappointing for me. I have always loved this place and considered it one of my go-to restaurants. That's why the changes I've experienced recently are so noticeable. I ordered my usual Coke, but unfortunately it was flat. I also ordered the hamburger I've enjoyed for years, and this time it simply didn't taste like the burger I've always loved. The portion of French fries was also noticeably smaller. Normally, I wouldn't care about the amount of fries if the burger was still as delicious as it used to be, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Since the new ownership, it feels like a lot has changed. The service was very slow, seemingly because there aren't enough servers. The changes behind the bar have also affected the drinks, which just aren't as good as they used to be. I understand that businesses change and new owners may want to bring their own ideas to a restaurant. But when you've been a loyal customer for 20 years, you notice when the quality, service, food, and overall experience change. I truly hope Legends can get back to the quality and service that made longtime customers like me keep coming back year after year. I would love nothing more than to be able to enjoy my favorite burger and say, "This is the Legends I remember."

I've had a lot of clam chowder over the years, and the only bowl that beats this one is from Legal Seafoods in Boston. That's saying a lot. We followed that with the seafood cakes, which were fantastic, and the pork pate, which was excellent as well. The staff was warm and attentive throughout, and our waitress Erica was wonderful, friendly, quick, and clearly knew the menu well. Only note: prices run a bit steep. We stuck to water/appetizers and still walked away with a solid bill for two chowders, one order of seafood cakes, and one order of pork pate. But between the food, the decor, and the overall ambiance, it was very nice experience. Highly recommend.

We found Red Rooster Bistro and thought it looked very cute. It is a lovely little building, looks like a French country house. My mother and I each order the portobello mushroom, her with cheese and me without cheese. We also ordered the beet salad. My brother had the pasta and my sister in law had chicken and salad. They loved their pasta and chicken. My mother and I were not as thrilled. The mushroom was tiny, buried under greens. I had expected a decent sized mushroom but ours were so small. I am glad we also ordered the beet salad, which was mostly greens but the beets were good. They also ordered the flourless chocolate cake, which they enjoyed. The server was excellent, and I enjoyed my glass of wine. I also loved the ambiance. French restaurants are always a bit of a challenge for me ( I am vegan) but honestly, they need to use bigger mushrooms and maybe add a veggie burger to the menu?
