There's parking in the free city lot behind the coffee shop - if you drive south on Garfield Ave you'll see signs directing you to the parking lot. My friend and I arrived around 2:30 PM on a Thursday to cafe and were thankfully able to find a table. The large communal table also appeared to be pretty empty. I really enjoyed the ambiance here - the music choices provided solid ambient noise without being overly distracting as we worked. The cashier was friendly and was kind to share recommendations on drinks. There is free WiFi for guests (no password needed) and there are 2 restrooms for guests. You can order non-dairy milk options at no additional cost, however I do feel like the base prices are higher than some other coffee shops. My matcha black sesame (kuragoma) latte was $7.50. Unfortunately, I would not recommend ordering the matcha black sesame latte. The drink comes sweetened, however, the first sip was quite bitter, grassy, and watered down. I decided to mix everything together, and while the nuttiness of the black sesame started to shine through, I still found myself disappointed with the taste. The black sesame paste also had a somewhat gritty texture, which was a bit off-putting. Overall, I would return to cafe, but I'd likely steer away from the matcha and opt for a regular iced latte or something.
When I first went here, they were out of matcha. I wanted to choose something that only Three Fields offered. I ended up deciding on the Black Sesame latte. After grabbing my drink, I noticed that they do not put lids on top of the drink which was a first for me. However, they do have lids and other condiments near the counter. They also have free guest WiFi and plenty of seats available. The black sesame latte at first glance is a grayish type of drink with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. After taking a sip, I could taste the sesame in the drink. The sesame was a good balance in the drink and wasn't too overwhelming. The flavors meshed really well together. I plan on coming here again and trying another drink.
Double Matcha here was solid, but I feel like the sweetener flavor overpowers the matcha flavor a bit. I also wish it were creamier. Still above decent nonetheless and I liked how I wasn't charged extra for oat milk. There's lots of outlets and wifi, but there's a 3 hour limit to the wifi. Not sure if this place would be suitable for a long stay if you want to work/study here. Barista was friendly to me and there's free parking in the back or in the nearby structure. Overall, good experience here and a solid option if you're looking for a cafe/matcha in the area
Stopped by here in between my interviews and I made a great choice. This coffee shop is very spacious and cozy walking in, the barista is friendly and patient enough to give me time to order. It was a warm winter day, I needed something to refresh and clear mind, so I decided to go with the espresso tonic with orange juice. The best choice made of the day, it was so fresh and brain-awaking. The coffee was made elegantly and freshly. Here is perfect for study, computer work and friends hangout (maybe keep the noise down).
I came in on a weekday morning. It wasn't that busy. Some tables filled with people working on laptops or playing games but wasn't busy when I went in. The service was decent and the staff were friendly. Ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and a pistachio croissant. If you like a sweet pastry, then the pistachio croissant isn't a bad choice. They cut it up and filled with a bit of a cream inside. The matcha latte here is probably the clumpiest and grittiest I've ever had. I unfortunately didn't watch how they made it but every sip was very gritty. I unfortunately had left already by the time I tried it. Might come back to try a coffee but I wouldn't order a matcha here.
My cousin introduced me to this spot since it's one of her favorite matcha places in the SGV area and I can totally see why. I ordered a regular matcha latte with oat milk and it was excellent. Perfect balance of smooth, earthy, and creamy. I got it sweetened with agave and it was exactly how I like it. I also tried my cousins go to drink, the double matcha, which had a strong matcha flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Not overpowering at all. Also don't skip the chocolate chip cookie here. It's insane. Ask for it warmed up and thank me later. Great first experience overall and I'm glad this is on my radar now. Will def be back whenever I'm in the area.
Good matcha lattes. I tried the regular and the strawberry, and thought the depth of earthiness was adequate without tasting too thick. I tried their black sesame latte too, but wouldn't get this again. First, it had a really thick cream top that required a lot of mixing, and most of the sesame flavor was in the cream and not so much the latte itself. I really love black sesame flavor, and would have preferred this more if it was less creamy in texture and more sesame in taste. As far as their pastry offerings go, I really liked their guava cheese croissant. It was crunchy and flaky and the filling inside had a nice balance of tasting sweet and salty. I tried the kouign amann too, but wasn't a fan of the apple sauce filling inside, and it was too sticky on the outside and dry on the inside. I wouldn't come here to work because they have only a 2 hour limit to use the wifi.
Maybe their coffee is much better than their matcha? I only ordered matcha and 1 pastry.. everything was sadly mediocre. Kurogoma Matcha -was quite small. I believe it may have been smaller than 12 ounces. Height of cup is only 3.5 inches and diameter of top of cup was about 3 inches. I don't think it's worth $7.50, I wasn't told that that it would be smaller than their other matcha drinks either. Not sure if I'm suppose to request for sweetness but it came out with unsweetened. I added sugar myself when I got home. Black sesame really shines through but not worth the price tag. Double Matcha -was as expected but not enough matcha taste.. pretty watered down in my opinion. It wasn't bad but wouldn't order again. Guava Croissant -there was cream and guava jam filling. Guava jam tasted pretty citrusy, not sure what else was mixed in with it. Croissant texture was more bread than buttery and flakey. Not my favorite, pretty dry.
I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and agave (no charge for milk + sweetener!). Matchaful's Hikari is one of my favorites, so the matcha here was very yummy for me! It was smooth and not too sweet. The agave gives the drink a mellow sweetness compared to adding honey. I took a sip of the strawberry lemonade and it was pretty tart/sour. I'd add a bit more sweetness to the drink!
Inside was a chill vibe, nice and cool away from the heat outside. They have small tables with comfy seating, I ordered the Strawberry matcha and Iced matcha latte with creamy sea salt. Iced matcha latte was nice and refreshing. The creamy sea salt foam was just right and subtly sweet. Perfect!
I had a good experience at Three Fields Coffee (Alhambra). The Iced Hojicha Latte ($7.50 - Whole Milk - w/ Strawberry Purée) is clean, fresh, and refreshing. I sipped happily. (Important Note: Cash is not accepted. This is a cashless facility.) I arrived at Three Fields Coffee (Alhambra) on Tuesday (around 12:47PM). Parking is easy if familiar with the area. This business is nestled between two parking structures. There's the First Street Parking Facility (behind business) and the large Mosaic Parking Structure (across street). Both parking structures state "4 Hour Parking - 8AM to 5PM." I selected the Mosaic Parking Structure which was a brisk three minute walk. Staff is professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Staff (receipt says Tonya) happily answered all my questions and gave informative recommendations. My drink took three minutes and three seconds. Fairly fast. As mentioned, I appreciated the Iced Hojicha Latte ($7.50 - Whole Milk - w/ Strawberry Purée). The caffeine was very mellow. Strangely enough, it took about 20 minutes before an uplifting perk of energy floated by. The flavors were not bold; rather, there's a thoughtful faint, lingering flavor. The initial sip is strawberry milk. After thoroughly mixing the drink, the main flavor was mostly strawberry milk. Fortunately, this time, the underlying essence of Hojicha shyly wriggled its head through. The Hojicha's roasted, woody flavor profile lingered like a ghost under a downpour of milk. Still, I appreciated the real bits of strawberries in the puree. Regarding ambiance, Three Fields Coffee (Alhambra) bordered between hipster and ugly. The long cushion seating is worn-down with unsightly dark stains. The floors look beat up and worn down. And the exterior is very plain; its chipped, darkened paint makes the location appear abandoned. Shockingly, this small business is extremely busy! Three Fields Coffee (Alhambra) is filled with college students. There's a few electrical sockets hidden between those squishy, plush cushions' crevices. There's also a couple hidden electrical sockets embedded on the side of the long table. Thankfully, there's many tables and seats. When I'd arrived, Staff told me that their internet was not currently working. However, Staff explained that there's usually internet for customers; customers would get the internet information by scanning a QR Code on the counter. There's also a gender neutral restroom (...mysteriously with no sign) in the back. In addition, the audio's stereo system is fairly loud and crystal clear. I appreciated the quality acoustics as it played smooth music. There's also a small game corner on the cabinet. Some games include chess, dominoes, Chinese checkers, and others. The location is also dog friendly since there's a pet water bowl with treats near the entrance. Overall, I had a good experience at Three Fields Coffee (Alhambra). The drink has thoughtful flavors; staff is friendly; and this location offers a decent environment to quietly study/work. 4.5 out of 5

I had high hopes of this place due to the reviews.. we got the chai latte and honestly, it wasn't good at all. Perhaps the other drinks there are good but not the chai. Workers were friendly, the bathroom and inside were clean and the overall appearance wasn't a disappointment. Two stars for that. I very rarely rush to write a review...mostly because I'm lazy...but this was a must. I couldn't wait to get home to start typing. That being said I am so pleased about this strawberry matcha from this place!!! Already walking in there's quite a lot of space to do work and study. Best of all lots of seating and outlets!!! Not too noisy either because I don't know about you but when a shop is blasting music it can get pretty hectic. I digress... Back to the matcha. Price point wise I would say it is above average at $7.50 but these days everything is that expensive :(. I will say the cup is much larger than what these other popular shops are offering like rok, stagger, community goods with their itty bitty cups. So yes you'll get more than four sips out of this drink Matcha itself comes with this deliciousss strawberry foam. Yes there's a bit of artificial taste but I thought it wasn't too sweet or overpowering at all. I could also taste the matcha itself (which was very pleasant) and having mixed everything it was quite addicting. Seriously as someone who's notorious for never finishing their drink, I quite almost finished the whole thing on the 8 minute ride home. Overall I liked everything about this place. I have been here twice so far and am a big fan of this cafe!! Amazing interior design, they have board games and lots of seating for studying and hanging out. Super clean with stocked stations, with water, lids, straws, napkins. Street parking here is a little tricky (only 2-3 spots with 24 minute parking), but if you go down the street there are two lots , one near Sichuan Impression and another near the 85 C Bakery. Both are free to customers and pretty empty and only around a 5 minute walk. I came once on Saturday morning at around 9:30 AM and the store had only a couple people in it. Lots of seats and fast service. I came again on the next day, around 3 PM and there were a lot more people. No Seats and drink took around 10 minutes. I have tried a strawberry matcha and the double matcha. Both have high quality matcha and very smooth no bitterness. The strawberry matcha is also not too sweet, with a strong fresh strawberry flavor. Double matcha was also creamy and high quality. Prices are typical for cafes nowadays. Highly recommend a visit! Also lots of other amazing stores to check out in the same street and vicinity. read more

My go to coffee spot when i am in the area after doing lagree nearby. The espresso drinks are balanced. Have not tried the matcha. I love the strawberry lemonade, its not too tarty or sweet. Wifi connection is good if you need to do some work or study but they limit your ip to 3 hours which is meh to me. I do get a couple of drinks and food each time as i work from home like 4-5 hrs a day. so i do spend a bit here and to have wifi limited does make me want to find a new place. Other than that, it can get busy and loud. So not a good place to catch conversations but overall i do like the drinks. read more

Three Fields Coffee is one of the newer speciality coffee shops in the 626 area and is located right in the heart of Downtown Alhambra. To get here, street parking will likely be your best bet and there is a good amount of it around the area. Inside, they have a modern setup paired with a warm ambiance and a good amount of seating. For their menu, they have a unique selection of coffee, espresso, matcha, lemonade, and seasonal drinks to choose from. Wifey and I stopped by for our weekend matcha run and opted to try the Double Matcha and the Orange Matcha. Both drinks had gorgeous presentations with great flavor profiles that really allowed the matcha to shine! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and the relaxing ambiance of the shop. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area to try some of their other drinks options! read more

food (4.2/5): I got the double matcha and it was very creamy. I wish the matcha was slightly stronger and a lil less sweet but it was still good. I think the matcha cream top kinda carries the drink so I'm not sure how strong the normal matcha latte would be. service: the workers were really friendly and the drink didn't take too long to come out. ambiance: there is a good amount of comfortable seating inside with outlets and wifi. the bathroom is very convenient too. there was a good amount of ppl studying and just hanging out when I went on a sunday afternoon. read more

Came here with a friend and we were please with our drinks, it was very busy inside so we decided to go on a walk after get the drinks! The staff were nice and quick with making drinks, they had a nice long table inside and most people had their laptops so seems like a nice spot to get work done! Heard about Three Fields Coffee from my brother and SIL who are both foodies. They brought us here one Sunday and we've gone back several times now. We drive all the way from the San Fernando Valley to satisfy our cravings. Three Fields Coffee provides excellent customer service along with delicious drinks. We're hooked! We love their Strawberry Matcha, Creamy Seasalt Foam and Mocha. They are all equally delicious. Strawberry Matcha is perfect. Right amount of strawberry and match blend. Creamy Seasalt Foam, espresso is on point. Mocha Latte is so good and well balanced with the espresso beans. Rich in taste and not too sweet. We've already told our family and friends about Three Fields Coffee. We can't wait to stop by again this week. Solid coffee shop for tasty options. Once I tried this place I came back several times within the month because there are so many things to try. I'd say the coffee itself isn't the best but the toppings are what makes this place unique. I am not a big matcha person but I do like the hot and ice matcha here. It is smooth and just right for me. I think the sesame cold foam latte was really good. One of the best sesame flavored drinks I have ever had actually! The Vietnamese coffee latte is good if you aren't actually looking for Vietnamese coffee (Vietnamese coffee is too strong for me). This one is more mild like a treat. The sea salt foam latte was good but I didn't love the strawberry cold foam as it didn't mix well with the coffee. I really like how there was an abundance of space to sit and even plug in your computer with free wifi! The workers are super nice. I guess since this place is new and are testing new things while sometimes they run out of things. It isn't consistent but hopefully in the future. read more

I have been on a bit of a coffee fix ever since coming back from Italy, but I am caffeine sensitive so my coffee adventures are limited to weekends mostly =') Came to try Three Fields Coffee over the weekend and ordered the Iced Latte. They have a few foam cream options as well as syrup options. I was happy to see they have sugar free syrup, so I gave that a try. You can choose your sugar level, and I went with 25%, which was still very sweet for me. I also tried their sea salt foam, which paired nicely and was the barista/cashier's recommendation. My only gripe is the price ($7.50) and it's one size only... The store itself is quaint, bright and clean. Lots of small tables inside that it seems people love to stay and work at. Love that they have a small water bowl at the front door for pups. Will try their other coffees when I'm able to have a weekend caffeine fix. read more

My friend and I visit this place on a raining day and the place was packed. Despite it being super pack, the interior cleanliness was on point. Watching the baristas made each orders to order was pretty nice. Friendly services! They got a lot of good options for coffee and matcha. Wished I like coffee to try some of their roast. The matcha drinks we got were really good. High quality matcha. The strawberry matcha was perfectly sweetened. As for the Kurogoma matcha aka sesame matcha, it wasn't as sweet but you can definitely taste the sesame. I will probably ask it a little more sweetened for my taste bud. read more

Three fields not only has great tasting matcha but such a cute interior, as well. They even have a small area for little kids. It can get pretty busy but the customer service is top notch. If this place was closer, I would come here all the time for the double matcha. I would love to try one of their seasonal matches but the sizes are much smaller, so I stick to my usual double. I also really love that they have a run club. Would love to try it one day. read more

came back for coffee and got a honey lavender latte iced which was pretty good! you can add multiple syrups to a drink free of charge which is nice so you can customize your latte! i wish the menu overall was bigger than a standard paper size since the text is like size 8 font. wait was a little longer of a time b/c their espresso machine was a little broken but there were enough seats on a sunday afternoon while waiting. read more
So happy such a cute cafe like this opened in Alhambra. I love the aesthetic in here, it feels like a cafe in Ktown LA. They have a variety of pastries and drinks to choose from, and it feels like a lot of craft is put into each drink. I got a strawberry matcha, and I loved the dried strawberries as an accent on top of it. The matcha is great quality, and it was perfect to sip on. This cafe is a very convenient location with a parking structure behind it. It is a good study spot with a good amount of seats. read more
Got to try this place early in the morning for my morning matcha~ I love love love love the interior of this shop! So beautiful and very modern, right up my alley. There was no one in the shop, so I really appreciated the aesthetic interior. I would love to do work here or chit chat with friends here, but I imagine it gets packed later on in the day especially since it's near a school. It was a bit disappointing when I got my drink! :( I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with agave, and Oat Milk. The color is very very pretty and looked very promising, but when I tried it, it was quite watery and wasn't as great as other matcha lattes I've had for the same price. I like how they display the matcha brand they use, but the oat milk they use overpowered the matcha and it was a bit sweeter than I typically enjoy it. Next time, I would ask for less sweet and maybe stick with the regular whole milk. Would come back for quiet mornings and an after-pilates drinkity drink~ read more
This place is really beautiful. Very quiet and serene, especially early in the morning. I love the seating setup with the mix of square and round modern, wooden stump stools; games for social engagement; and a child-friendly play area up front. If you have a dog, there is a water and food bowl by the entrance. Service was kind, and I also got a calming energy from the friendly lady who took my order. I got the iced matcha with macadamia milk (love that they have this alt milk option) and honey. The matcha itself was okay. It was lacking a little depth and was slightly on the milkier/sweet side. If that's your matcha preference, this is a great place to try. But if you like a fuller, earthier matcha, I'd look elsewhere. Even though I know of other matcha places I prefer in the area, I'd come back here for the calming atmosphere alone. If based on the matcha latte alone, I'd give it 4 stars. But since I love everything else about this place, I'm giving it 5! read more
I thought this place was okay. For the price, I would rather go starbucks.. I asked the cashier which coffee would be best with the salt cream foam and she said their regular latte. I did not like it at all.. was a struggle to drink. The matcha with strawberry foam was good but it tasted like the Starbucks match for higher the price. The lid was also a bit loose on the cup. You walked us through everything that was an option and you didn't even get bothered nor did you you make a face when we asked multiple questions. You're exactly what we needed. Thank you for making it a delightful and easy breezy drink date for my friend and I. Now the second star, the hojicha latte. WOW. If you guys reading this decide to order, please be a tea drinker. This is not just a sugary latte that looks like a tik-tok drink. It's a tea drinkers drink. It was perfectly balanced and just right. They do have many other options. My friend ordered a dirty chai and said it was pretty good. The drinks are not sweetened so if you like a little sweetness just ask. Super cute place, vibes are cool and drinks are great. read more
Came here after lunch and 7 of us just came by and ordered bunch of drinks. It's located on Alhambras infamous Main Street, this location changes a lot but hopefully this one will stick lol The place is pretty and aesthetic , out of all the drinks I think I like my hojicha latte the best ! The staff recommended me to add cane syrup as sweetener and 50% as well because we don't want to over power the sweetness then you won't taste the tea at all. Parking is at usual parking building where everyone park as well. It was on the weekend so it's quiet challenging to find a parking quickly. read more

This coffee shop is pretty interesting. The front is almost non existent so it's pretty easy to miss. I came in just for a few drinks. I got a nitro cold brew and I can say this drink is STRONG. For those not used to caffeine this will get you type of way. Also tried out the houjicha latte which tasted really good. It was light, a bit creamy, and refreshing. Drink prices are a tad expensive at about $6-$7 a drink. Overall solid coffee shop. They also have Wi-Fi and outlets for your laptops so people were just chilling there. read more
Cafe aesthetic: 5/5 Drink: 2/5 Came here to grab a coffee and saw that there were many people hanging out in the store, as there's ample indoor seating. Their drink menu is pretty standard and there weren't any specialty lattes available, but I did like that the alternative milks were free of charge and there were different sweetener alternates (which you do have to pay for). We waited around 15-20 minutes for our drink to come after ordering, which I thought was a bit long given that there wasn't a line when we were ordering. Hojicha latte with milkadamia and honey: 2/5 It was really powdery and had a strange after taste. You can definitely taste the hojicha but I am not sure what it is exactly but it had a weird taste to it. It was also watered down. Dirty chai latte with oat: 3/5 It was a frothy drink which I liked but I felt like it was too spicy (not spicy like hot but the chai was too pungent). I didn't add extra sweetener to this drink but it was a bit sweet, maybe from the oat? But I couldn't really taste the espresso. Overall the aesthetic of this cafe was cute but the drinks were below average. They sold pastries too but I didn't try any of it. On a Saturday morning 8:30am in July, my sister wanted to check it out so we were passing by and found a parking spot in front. There were people there w/their laptops. The interior is nice with chill ambiance. They have pastries displayed in glass window and various latte coffee drinks and fruit tea. I got a plum drink which was refreshing and the Nutella croissant was good when heated up. They also have board games, a running club and pet treats for dogs. read more

Wifi/Outlet: Wifi is available and outlets can be found at the communal table and next to the first table up front. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restroom: They're available towards the back of the shop. Coffee Program: Unincorporated Roasters. Pastries Program: Baked Shop Location/Parking: Located between 1st and Garfield Blvd. Parking can be found in the shared parking structure in the back or street parking/shared parking structures in the neighborhood streets. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Good place to do some work, study, and shoot the breeze.********** Service: Service was good. Staffers were friendly, attentive, and were quite informative about the shop and their offerings. My drink doesn't take a long time to make Drink Of Choice: I usually get their drip coffee. Little quaint spot in Alhambras downtown area. The drinks were good and kept us hydrated. I would come back to this spot if I was looking to study or get some work done, as they got some tables for that. The cashier/barista was very helpful and offered some great suggestions. I had Hojicha latte which made from Japanese roasted green tea (hojicha), water, and milk. It had an interesting taste and flavor albeit abundant of healthy benefits. Staff were cordial and competent. Coffee list was modest but can grow more. Service was on point. Atmosphere was relaxing. Free Wifi. This is a great matcha and study spot! The drinks had a good matcha flavor + there were free milk subs. There is free wifi and a good amount of seating inside. They also have water and treats for dogs inside. read more

Came to here to get some work done. Lots of tables which I really appreciate. Ordered the strawberry matcha latte and was pleasantly surprised to see it comes with a strawberry cold foam! SO! GOOD! Kinda tastes like you're drinking strawberry cereal but with a nice strong matcha flavor. Really liked the vibe in here, not too busy on a Friday. Will be back for sure. read more
As a matcha lover, I wish I could say this drink was just as good as it looked, but unfortunately it was a little too tart for me. The strawberry portion tasted a little unripe, and the matcha didn't have as much of a matcha-y taste I was hoping for. Maybe I'll have to try another drink. Aside from that, staff was super helpful in helping me decide what syrup to add into the drink as it comes unsweetened and you have to pay extra for a sweetener, and they were quick with the drinks despite having a full line of orders.
