Terrible attitude of the short staff today. No custom simple order-turkey and bread for son "NO" was answer. We said take your time, they still did not change attitude. 20 years on the Block-worse attitude! We stopped in on our bikes after riding by the previous day. Sooo glad we decided to give it a try - the sandwiches were unbelievably tasty! We had the roast beef and tuna subs. Both were great but the roast beef was absolutely melt in your mouth good. And the warm cookie was the ultimate finish. The Three Sisters setup is perfect for BI: park your bikes, order inside, go find a table in the shade out back, and wait for your name to be called. Then soak up the sun and the fabulous flavors of this great lunch spot!! So simple and easy yet a great way to have an island lunch. We will be back next time we're on the island. read more

Great night under the awnings. The atmosphere is perfect at this BYOB gem. The menu is limited but delicious. They had a very nice guitar player, which really enhanced the atmosphere. The chocolate chip cookie with ice cream is a must for desert. read more

This tiny little sandwich shop that we nearly blew past while looking for it has pretty good sandwiches. I think we made it there somewhat later during the lunch rush (maybe around 2) and they were starting to run out of things like avocado and turkey so now we know to go earlier. As far as service goes, it's a tiny little cottage and basically you have to order and clear out to the picnic benches outside. There is no room to stand around and wait for your food because the people behind you won't be able to place their orders. I do have to say, the food tastes much better and is more reasonably priced than Finn's Seafood down the street. I would come back and pick up sandwiches for a picnic on the beach next time around. read more

Great & very informal spot that reminded me of Berkeley, CA. Excellent mix of sandwich and salad options, with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies to power our bike tour of the island. Came home again to R.I. last week. Ordered and waited outside on picnic tables. Picked up sandwich, back to table, opened it to find wrong sandwich. "You got what you ordered", the be-atch told me. Ah, not really, I don't eat roast beef and I ordered Turkey. Sandwiches are good, but don't blame the error on the customer. Most of us are alert, oriented and sick of the Be-atch sisters. This place is busy, busy so we decided to try it. It is TINY inside and as the line (which was out the door) got close to ordering station, one of the three woman behind the counter making sandwiches announced in a rather stressed crabby voice "Does everyone realize it will be at least a half hour wait? " I tried to make a joke but she didn't even acknowledge me. We must have waited about 40 minutes, during which time I saw others inquire how much longer they would have to wait for their orders. Great sandwiches for lunch. Best on the island. Fresh ingredients. Excellent service. Interesting atmosphere. Dinner is more complex. Home barbecue at a restaurant. We tried the seafood and it was generally tasty.. Steamers were delicious, swordfish was excellent. Tuna was dry. By comparison to other island food, it was very good. read more

The food was great...twisted sister was fabulous ...lots of great turkey, flavored with bacon,avocado, lettuce..everything very fresh...chocolate chip cookies a must!!!. could not give the entire experience a 5th star as the owner(I believe she was) was very curt , somewhat rude which was unnecessary ....there system for ordering could be adjusted to avoid what was apparent stress when someone entered their little shack...you could feel it! with that said...I would go back as the food was very yummy read more

I love this little sandwich shop! The food is always fresh and delicious and the warm chocolate chip cookies are worth the long wait out the door. There is no indoor seating- just tables outside, so this is only a place to come to when it's nice out. Some might find the outdoor decor off- putting because it's all stuff one might find in a rummage sale or on the side of the road, but somehow it all works. My husband likes to call it "yard sale chic" lol! The only issue is that it's cash only and the prices are high so it adds up. Bring cash! read more

Dinner is delicious--fresh seafood, with a constantly changing menu. Fish seasoned subtly and cooked perfectly. My only criticism would be I question the cohesiveness of the plate. Last night teriyaki tuna was amazing--as was the cous cous and the curried zucchini but my tuna was begging for rice and perhaps some zucchini with an Asian twist (garlic,ginger and a splash of fish sauce and or coconut milk ?). Save the cous cous for a Mediterranean swordfish perhaps? But my criticism in no way will prevent me from going back time and again. Not only was the food top notch--service was great--and the atmosphere is perfect for a BI night. And don't forget lunch!!!!! One of the best lunches and value on the island. read more

I've been wanting to eat at Three Sisters for many years, but it was either too busy or closed or we were late for the ferry. Finally got to go the other day. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I ordered the Twisted Sister, which was supposed to be all fresh veggies on a tomato basil wrap. Yeah, there were fresh veggies -- basically all lettuce with two 1/4" size pieces of tomato and one 1/2" wide piece of cucumber. Oh, yeah, there were 2-3 pieces of Kalamata olives. Didn't know olives were fresh veggies. Others in my party ordered two different kinds of subs. Just ordinary ingredients on stale, tasteless bread. Yuck. At almost $10 a sandwich, what a rip-off. I guess the celebrity ownership (Molly Price, a TV actress, owns it with her two sisters) brings the customers, as the food certainly doesn't. Save your money and stay away. read more

The greek salad wrap was pretty inconsistent. Didn't come with all of the veggies advertised and one of the two we ordered was pretty much just dressed lettuce with nothing else. The service will keep us from returning on our next weekend as whichever "sister" took my order made me feel like an idiot for asking a question and not knowing that I should wait to pay until the food came. This place was super cute but the woman who took are order was RUDE! It was almost time to close for lunch and we asked if it was too late and they said no but then treated us like we were a total hassle. I decided to get a drink after we paid and went in to tell the woman and was completely ignored!!! To pay for a drink?!?! The young teenage girl bussing helped me but I was appalled at how RUDE the woman was. The sandwiches were bland and the $9 salad was the size of a side salad. Then after the shop closed we were still eating and the RUDE woman came out and sat at a table right behind us waiting for us to leave, we were sitting outside!!! I will never go there again. Do yourself a favor if you don't want bland food with a BAD ATTITUDE go somewhere else for lunch!!!! read more

I've been going to BI for three years now and this year is the first time I've gone to Three Sisters and I have to say, I've been depriving myself the past two!! Excellent sandwiches with the Twisted, Celeb and Belinda sisters being my favorites. They aren't cheap at around 9 dollars each but they are pretty big so you can make two meals out of them. But you're on vacation so eat all of it and worry about the consequences when you get back to the main land. read more

It is not easy to get decent food at a reasonable price on Block Island. It is VERY easy to get bad food for a ton of money. The three sisters is an itty bitty place with outdoor seating only but they really do have tasty food. They offer a variety of sandwiches and salads and frequently homemade cookies too. For a quick tasty lunch, at an affordable price there isn't a better spot. The ladies who work there do a good job and were very pleasant the several times we have stopped in. read more

Spent two weeks working on the island and this was one of my favorite lunch spots. The Twisted Sister sandwich was awesome. Although I took my food back to work, it would have been nice to sit outside at a picnic table. I have been coming to the island every year for the last 5 years for a week and every time I come to this place I have issues. This place has excellent sandwiches but you will have to wait a while for them. Their ordering process is very unorganized, different peoples orders on same ticket which leads to orders being passed over. Sandwich makers were distracted by friends coming in to ask what beach they should go to. A business should be that, a business, no matter where they are located and the customers needs should be their priority. This is the last time I will go back, I know I should have learned after the second or third time. Stay away if you are in a hurry. read more

So good! A smaller version of Something Natural on Nantucket minus the crowds. These women work their butts off producing high quality fresh sandwiches. Of the five we tried, definitely recommend the meatball sub. Also, don't skip the chocolate chip cookies - a definite way to satisfy your appetite while waiting for your sandwich in the idyllic yard (on a hammock, at a picnic table, perhaps hula hooping). read more
