I was craving a sandwich or a salad, but couldn't decide which one and decided on a place that offered both. Even though I've worked in the area for years, I had never been to Three Sisters Cafe. The restaurant is tucked away, blink and you might miss it. It was clean and not very busy when I went during lunchtime. The staff were friendly and efficient. They have an easy to read menu board and the whole ordering process was done in minutes, which is perfect if you're short on time. I ordered the Three Sisters Club and the Buffalo Chicken Salad. They had a combo deal for $14 with tax. The proportions were large for me and well worth the price. The club was pretty standard, served on a long roll. The bread was a bit stale, but overall it was a decent sandwich and exactly what I was looking for. The salad came with lettuce, tomato, onion, chicken, shredded cheese, and Buffalo Ranch dressing. The salad was good, but I don't think I would get it again, the dressing was super spicy and there was way too much cheese for my taste. read more

I was looking for breakfast this morning and this place had great reviews and was close to my hotel. I got the breakfast bowl with bacon, onion and the spicy red salsa. The breakfast bowl was very good! Generous amount of bacon and other ingredients. The spicy salsa had a lot of flavor. The only thing I didn't like and I took one star away for, the bowl is microwaved and the microwave is right there in view. I would have preferred to not know it was microwaved. My suggestion would be to move the microwaves to the back where patrons can't see them being used. As much as I'd love to come back here, I'd prefer my breakfast wasn't microwaved. read more

My husband had a classic breakfast sandwich that he raved about. We both had Americanos that had a rich coffee flavor without a touch of bitterness. A+ We are looking forward to coming back for soup. The service is always so quick and everyone is so kind, the lady with the bandana and glasses is on top of it! We come here to get coffee, amazing breakfast burritos, or the sandwich soup combo during the winter. The potato soup is to die for!!! On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the denver area. Americanos for $4, breakfast burritos for $8, the prices just don't compare in LoDo. The dining room has a laid back vibe to it, and there's plenty of seating. I've never had bad service here, just try to get there before the lunch rush and you'll be in and out. I had a chicken salad sandwich. It was okay. The ratios were decent and I like the tortilla. But I didn't like how there was no sauce, I had to go to my kitchen to grab some ranch. I also didn't think the chicken was moist, it was nothing noteworthy for me in terms of flavor profiles or ingredients unfortunately. I came in for the first time this week and got a breakfast burrito to go. I had mine made half bacon, half chorizo, and was really happy with it, but next time I think I will just have it made with chorizo. The prices are very reasonable and the employees were awesome and friendly. I would recommend this as a place to get a breakfast burrito to go to, but if you decide to eat in the restaurant, there is plenty of seating in a casual dining atmosphere. Really good spot if you work downtown and are looking a tasty, affordable lunch. The sandwich's and paninis are both solid but the thing 3 sisters does best is the soup! All of the soups really are delicious and they continually rotate them so there's always a new delicious one to try out. If your eating here for the the first time make sure you try one! I ended up getting the ham and Swiss panini this time really good and elevated a little with the roasted red peppers and some Dijon mustard. So glad I decided to try this place out. I ordered the breakfast bowl which is a bowl of eggs and potatoes and you can add two items to it - which I did spinach and cheese. They melt the cheese down and then they add soup to it.. which sounds super weird I know. When I read it, I thought the soup would be on the side ... but omg it worked! I got the Spicy chicken wrap, it honestly reminded me of a small step up from something you would get from the snack fridge at a gas station. A single piece of lettuce, a single slice of tomato and the chicken was pretty bland. Gave me a stomach ache after. Won't go back, even if the soup is better. read more

3 sisters is always perfect. The little free cookie you get with the sandwiches is a tiny circle of incredibleness. If you go between 11-1 be prepared to wait in line. There are plenty of tables inside and a few patio tables. This is in the Bank Lofts apartment building so the bathroom is inside an actual bank vault! I really love the turkey avocado panini. Just so so good. They have gluten free wraps and bread. There are soups and salads also. I have also purchased gift cards here to spoil others. They sell AZ canned tea, orange cream soda, Snapple, Gatorade and CHOCOLATE cream soda (which tastes like liquid tootsie rolls). Seriously, just a perfect lunch place with great service. This is, by far, one of the best lunch spots downtown. Though the line is long, the wait is short and the food is worth it. The ingredients are fresh, and the faces are friendly. For my money, there is no better deal than the soup, salad, and bread combo. The food (and soups) are great here, but the inefficiency kills this place. They desperately need to improve the ordering and checkout process. Approximately 50% of people here for lunch are here for the soup (a quick thing to serve), yet they have to wait for the people ordering sandwiches to order and be made. There should be a separate line and checkout for soups only. A few months ago right before a holiday that fell on a Monday, I went on the website Friday to see if Three Sisters was going to be open; the website said they were open, so I headed down to the restaurant to get lunch. When I arrived, there was a handwritten sign on the door that said the restaurant was closed. I was quite surprised, as there was nothing on the website signifying that the restaurant would be closed that day--- nothing about the holiday which was next week either. Frustrated, I walked away, promising that some day I would come back and speak to them about the poor first impression that I had gotten about their restaurant. That day was today; I finally went back and spoke to a manager, explaining the poor first impression that I had gotten about their restaurant, and how I needed to understand why the website said they were open, and a handwritten sign said they were closed; the manager made a few excuses, admitting he was not sure why the restaurant was closed that day, but they have had a lot going on inside the restaurant recently. When I pressed him on why the website said they were open when in truth, they were not, and why did they not signify on the website they were going to be closed, he did not give me an answer, but went back to excuses as to why they may have been closed. I brought the website up several more times and he never answered my question. Instead he said they had been there for twenty years, and to try them again. I stared at him in disbelief, and he looked confused as to why I was looking at him. The reason I was a little confused is because I did not have my questions answered, and also, the manager did not have the smarts to offer me a coupon for half off a meal. . . in fact, he offered me nothing but excuses. I left in disgust. Now, my intent was not to get a discount, but to get an apology and maybe have someone show the effort to get me to come back, as it was their error and not mine. He made no such effort other than to say he was sorry, and to give them a chance. I walked out. This is really a shame because I hear their food is very good. . . the problem is, their customer service is NOT. And they made no attempt to fix the issue and make me feel like a valued customer whose first impression of their restaurant was a bad one. Shame on them for this mistake, a mistake that could cost them business. Ironically, this is not about their food or menu, but about their customer service decisions. What a poor choice they made in this instance. As you can no doubt figure out, I am loathe to give them another chance since they did not seem to care that I not only had a bad experience, but took the time to come back to them to fix the error. Now one bad experience became two. What a shame. read more

Got Soup? Three Sisters does! Upon deciding where to go to lunch last week with Colleen C and Abby S, it just made sense to go to "Three Sisters." We are three friends / three colleagues, three girls, and we all felt like sandwiches, soups, and/or salads. This place worked out perfectly. They had about eight soups to choose from, and I went with a white bean that was the perfect accompaniment to my Greek salad. The service wasn't the friendliest, but with it being a cafeteria like model, it was fine... We were in and out quickly and got what we came for - a moderately priced healthy lunch. I wouldn't necessarily rush back, but I do recommend Three Sisters Cafe if you're in the area and looking for a quick lunch; especially if you're thinking about soup! read more

Three Sisters is a well crafted soup joint. I've visited a couple times now and have been let down by their sandwich and wraps, but lifted back up by their incredible soup menu. We are definitely lacking fresh, homemade soup options in the city - and Three Sisters fills that niche. My first visit I had the spicy chicken wrap and Parmesan tomato soup. The wrap was dry and not very well executed - soup, awesome! My next visit I had the cubano panini and white bean w/sausage soup. Same story. The cubano was not very hot or very pressed - plus, there was still deli paper wrapped in the meat on the sandwich...oops. The soup was hearty, carried a little bit of spice and tasted great. The setting is great - a very thoughtfully designed space. The other thing noticed is that they use the hell out their microwave. I understand space is hard to come by, but ditch the hot sandwiches if you have to go to the microwave to get there. Stay for the soup - not for the sandwiches (or wraps). read more

The best soup in Denver. This is a cute little joint downtown that you have to check out for lunch. Their soups are creative and warm you up from the inside out on a chilly day. They have paninis, wraps, salads, and sandwiches- all which are great to decent depending on what you order. The raspberry walnut salad is tasty.
