My server Sammy was an excellent waitress. She answered all of my questions about the menu. Very knowledgeable. She also told us a little about the restaurant when we asked how long they've been open. Me and my God father both started off with salads, his was a little heavy on the dressing so he didn't eat too much of it but everything was extremely fresh. I'm very picky about dishes being served nicely with fresh ingredients and handled in a clean manner. Both of which I got here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything is very clean including the restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful place, will come again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So we arrived at 7 pm on a Tuesday night...in October. It's really pretty quiet all over in 'Toga this time of year...the tourists have gone home. This seems like a place that locals like to go to...it was pretty low-key night. Nice vibe. Good wine list. Lots of good wine choices by the glass. We just had a very affordable Chianti. Good pour. Nice selection of beers listed on the chalkboard. We first tried the meetballs...because you know...meaty balls! . Too many juvenile jokes to be made here. They were nice, liked the light tomato sauce. Anyway... My daughter had the vodka penne...and she was very happy with her dish. She said the vodka sauce was great. I ordered the carbonara, particularly because I like the pappardelle egg noodle. I loved my dish a little less than my daughter ...the noodles were nice...the carbonara itself was a tad bland? The pancetta was not the greatest, kinda stale. The three shrimps (add-on) were really nice. Good size and flavor. I probably just ordered the wrong dish...Would stick with one of the tomato sauces...not the cream based sauce. The wood fired oven looked great...I would probably order off that part of the menu next time. So- DO order a pasta with a tomato based sauce...order off the wood-fired oven part of the menu. I will do that, and add salad next time. Overall, it was a nice quiet evening.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved this little strip mall restaurant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On a recent trip to visit our granddaughter in Saratoga Springs, we were looking for a simple dinner near our hotel. This bistro was in the same parking lot as our hotel making it a simple choice. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was cozy and comfortable with a good menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We decided to try the arancini for an appetizer. It was crispy on the outside and creamy and flavorful inside. Yum!!! it was the hubs first time having Arancini and he loved it. For dinner I decided to go with a second appetizer, because I get too full these days. Tamus had the linguine and clams. It was flavorful and full of clams. I had the Beans and Greens with shrimp. Light, delicious and perfectly sized for me!! We enjoyed our experience here and outdoors go again if I lived in Saratoga Springs. Next time, I would try their specialty meetballs!!

Man if this place could only hire better servers!!!! Went NY's eve and had an absolutely miserable waiter who was terrible. We were there for 2.5 hours, good thing we were out with friends and not in a hurry! Food was amazing like last time but just horrible service which really makes you wonder why you keep coming back!! It will probably be a while before we go back again. Calamari app was so good and my eggplant parm dinner was spot on. I will also say the bartender has a HEAVY pour which I liked. It was like getting a triple Jack on the rocks.

This is a great restaurant. Great server and food. We ordered the fried mozzarella and bruschetta and both were delicious. I ordered the risotto with steak and it was wonderful. My friend said the chicken parmigiana was just okay, which surprised me. The other 6 people in our party raved about their food. Definitely go f you're near here.

We had read that it was the same people who run Hamlet and Ghost, so we wanted to check it out. The inside is gorgeous, bright and welcoming. Very cute wine bar vibes with excellent cocktails and a small, but mighty, menu. All of our cocktails were gorgeous and well crafted, even some great mocktails. The menu is Montreal inspired, which we noticed immediately, and loved. We just wanted to split a couple things to try, so we ordered the poutine with duck confit and the steak tartare. The Poutine was fabulous! They ultra crispy house made fries had such good flavor on their own, but were made incredible with the gravy, melty cheese curds and decadent duck. This dish was amazing. The steak tartare was also very good and fresh, the house made chips were also killer. Last but not least, the maple soft serve. Heavenly! Ultra creamy and smooth with a great depth of maple flavor. The caramel swirl and crunchy nibs on the top were so good. I am not a big sweets person, but I would order this again for sure. Delicious. This is a hidden gem and surprised us all! I can't believe I haven't heard more about this place. 10/10 recommend.

I think everything was good except for 1 thing. Good solid food. Service was excellent…read more On the check they included a " kitchen administration fee." it was a very low percent, but it felt weird that it was included. Also it was odd it was included before tax. I just felt like I was being nickel and dimed. I would've rather they raise the price of the food items and paid the staff properly rather than adding in an arbitrary fee at the very end to ensure the staff gets adequate compensation. It might've been included on the menu, but I couldn't see it and when looking at the menu posted outside, it looks like that area was intentionally obscured (see photo). To reiterate, the staff was very kind, but it was odd of the owner to include this fee.

Finally had a chance to try Kindred last week(end)…read more I was honestly won over when we first walked in....we didn't have a reservation but asked if they could accommodate two for dinner. The hostess/server was awesome: not pretentious and looking down her nose at us since we didn't have a reservation. She did say that she needed the table by 7 PM. No problem! That said, it was pretty busy for being early in the evening. Guests kept coming in as we were getting ready to depart. The food that we tried was very good: -the chips with crème fraîche were very nice, but I don't know that I would go out of my way for these again. I really enjoyed the chips themselves... very thin and light ...and quite salty (in a good way). A little bit of fish roe is mixed in for "extra saltiness" and a little bit of a fishy experience in the crème fraîche. -Brussel sprouts for me were the winner! Absolutely delicious and we added some chicken so that we'd have a little bit of protein. Grilled chicken was perfectly flavored and not dry at all. Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of char and umami. -flatbread was honestly my least favorite. We stuck with the basic burrata/Margherita pizza/flatbread, and after eating the brussels sprouts it just didn't hold up in terms of flavor. Some of the other options might be better if you're looking for more of a flavor punch.... but it was served steaming, hot, and freshly made. As more people showed up, it definitely got noisier... so prepare for a bit of a loud environment...pretty much the same situation in all downtown Saratoga restaurants these days. I will definitely go back and try some other items on the menu.

Ordered an appetizer; scallops wrapped in bacon, six pieces and some nice fresh warmed rolls were served as well. Also, their corn and crab chowder was delicious. My wife and I ordered surf and turf (8 oz filet and 2 scallops). The other order was crab stuffed cod. We had a second glass of wine each and a beer for my FIL. It seemed like it took awhile to get served but that was ok, the conversation was good and wine excellent, now I know why the dinner took so long; the filet mignon's must have been cooking for 30 minutes. Both came out dry and dark gray. I ordered mine medium rare and my wife medium. We did't even try the filet. One of the servers took it away and said he was sorry and it was not cooked right. We were told they would fire another two right up. In the meantime my FIL was enjoying his meal. After about 15 minutes I said to my wife I hope those filets were not cooking the entire time. Ten minutes later they came out and guess what; they must have been cooking the entire time. I did try one piece and quite frankly It was inedible. This just ruined the meal for all of us. The meal, one dinner two apps, and drinks were comped and the manager gave me a bottle of wine on the way out. That was a very nice gesture but we all wanted to enjoy a nice dinner. We came home and made a frozen pizza. I don't know who the chef was but 4 filet mignons and 8 scallops were completely wasted.
