this is my second time here, and my first experience was very good. the ambiance is a bit lacking but the food and service definitely makes up for it. the restaurant appears very clean and simple on the inside. on both my occasions here I have found the servers excellent. they are polite, they approach with a smile and always on hand if something is needed. first time here i had the eggplant parm which was delicious. I couldn't finish it so i took it home and they have me extra bread with it to make a sandwich. (their suggestion). this time I ordered the eggplant Napoleon which was just as good, yet i ate it all. with your meal you get a small house salad where i have it with their italian dressing which is very good. Your meal also comes with a few slices of toasted italian bread and really nice dipping oil. I would recommend mKing reservation just in case, as its a very small restaurant with only 8 tables. Staff is friendly and the food is fantastic! We went there this past Friday. We ordered 2 sides of meatballs as an appetizer. Very tasty throughout and the marinara is to die for. I ordered the Chicken Francese,my mother ordered the Chicken Picata and my husband ordered the Baked Ravioli. Entrees come with salads and I HIGHLY recommend the house Caesar dressing. Absolutely delicious! The Chicken Francese and Chicken Picata were a little heavy on the lemon, for my taste. Otherwise, the chicken was tender and the fresh pasta was out of this world. We went a little out of character and ordered dessert; chocolate layer cake that tasted like a high-end Hostess cupcake (YUMMY) and cannoli that my husband said, 'tasted like Christmas'. Personally, I have never been able to taste holidays (I think it's a gift he has -no pun intended) but this means he thoroughly enjoyed it. Cozy little restaurant that offers take out. We had a very nice evening celebrating a friend's birthday. We were a party of four and two of us tried the chicken francese with fresh pasta and it was lemony and tender and delicious. Everyone at the table had a taste and wanted more of that dish. One of us had the chicken Marsala with a rich gravy and generous amount of fresh mushrooms. The third dish our table enjoyed was the spaghetti carbonara. They make it two ways and the Italian style was authentic and delicious. This place gives attention to great ingredients. Service: 0/10 Unfortunately, our experience with our initial server, Victoria, was disappointing. We waited 15 minutes just to receive water and another 15 for a single glass of wine. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy--only about six tables, and she had three--yet the service was extremely slow. When we politely asked about the delay, we were told that running food takes priority over all other customer needs, regardless of the table. Her tone was dismissive, and her exact words were along the lines of, "Welp, this comes first--you'll just have to wait," which felt unnecessarily rude. Thankfully, another server stepped in and took over our table. She was kind, attentive, and made the rest of the experience much more pleasant. Had she been our server from the start, this review would have been a very different one. Food: 7/10 Coming from Long Island, we're picky about Italian food--and this was actually pretty solid. The sauce was a bit on the salty side, but flavorful and close to what I make at home. The chicken parm and eggplant were sautéed rather than breaded, and while they had very little cheese, I actually liked the lighter preparation. The penne alla vodka was a standout! Overall: We chalked it up to being a new spot and agreed we'd be open to trying it again. The ambiance is relaxed with music from The Godfather and Frank Sinatra as background. Service is attentive and friendly. The bruschetta is generous and flavorful on garlic bread. Garden salad included with entree had variety and very fresh greens. The housemade Caesar dressing was similar to a pepper Parmesan. The chicken Marsala was tender with delicious rich sauce and the added joy of homemade noodles. The chicken Parmesan was excellent. I don't even know where to begin. Buono Notte Cafe And Catering was a complete disaster from start to finish. After waiting a ridiculous 45 minutes for my food--with no apology or update--I was served a dish that had a literal dust bunny in it. Yes, you read that right. A clump of dust in my food. How does that even happen in a functioning kitchen? This place clearly has zero standards for cleanliness or customer service. I wouldn't feed this to my worst enemy. Save yourself the stomachache and go literally anywhere else. One star is generous. read more

Absolutely delicious! Finally - real, authentic, made fresh to order, Italian food in the Glens Falls area. The quality was impeccable - very high quality ingredients. The menu has something for everyone - lots of options and variety. The staff are extremely welcoming, accommodating, fun and friendly. They are very willing to make changes as requested and as necessary for dietary restrictions as well. The service was well paced/timed and it was especially appreciated that the chef, owner, and manager all visited each table to check in, to thank us for coming and to see if anything was needed. The cafe like ambiance with a smaller number of tables means reservations are welcome and recommended. Will definitely be going back! read more

Excellent addition to downtown Glens Falls. The food, service and ambiance are amazing. We started with octupus with fava beans over greens and a lotsa lump crab meat cake over greens. I thought I was back in Italy. I had the chicken sorrentino with papadelle( homemade) and we also had the lasagna. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented. As I was leaving I told the couple the food was like going to the best trattoria in New York City with Glens Falls prices. Very good value, took a doggie bag home for lunch the next day. I am often hesitant to eat at a place with very few Yelp reviews, especially when those reviews are all excellent. Perhaps I'm too skeptical or suspicious, but I think sometimes those reviews are by well-meaning family and friends. In any event, my point here is that this is the 4th review of this relatively new restaurant and I am not related to owner/chef Matthew (or anyone else that works there). Believe all of the reviews so far! This is a small place with big-sized portions - at least for the tasty fresh pasta dish I had. Attentive staff and nice environment.
