No, but if you don't finish your happy hour food and want to pack it up to go nobody will object!

I can't answer for certain but they have all sorts of fresh food there and the staff is very open to substituting whatever it is you want so I can't imagine it would be a problem...within reason

Not applicable for happy hour items(they're already 50% off). But you can use it during happy hour for lunch items from 3pm to 4pm, and dinner items from 9pm to 10pm. Hope this helps as it can be a bit confusing.

The restaurant is deceptively roomy, seeming to be smaller from the outside, but once inside, it was quiet, clean, with comfortable chairs, clean tables, and large windows to enjoy some of Kihei's views (like today's gentle rain). As with most things these day on Maui, where everything comes in a shipping container, food costs are very noticable. Our meal, including thai ice tea and a soda, with a coconut ice-cream to finish it was about $44/person. Not cheap, but also not as bad as, say, Tommy Bahamas.

We opted for the Omakake (Tasting) Menu along with the Wine Pairing for each course. We knew it would be expensive (prices intentionally deleted), but we felt it would be a wonderful experience. We have eaten at Morimoto at Sea on several Holland America Line ships, including our recent cruise on HAL's Nieuw Amsterdam that has a dedicated Morimoto Restaurant mid-ship on deck 11 -- those meals have always been fantastic. Back to last night. Disappointment #1 -- The wine for the first course arrived 5 minutes before Course 1, the Toro Tartare. The wine had lost most of its coolness, and intended flavor and aroma, by time the dish arrived. Disappointment #2 -- The Intermezzo dish, the Sudachi cucumber sorbet was a bit sour. Other intermezzi that I have had were a slightly sweet, perhaps lime or lemon sorbet. AND they typically were paired with a splash of champagne or a sparkling brut (why not include the Morimoto Dream Rosè?) Disappointment #3 -- Course 5, the Surf & Turf, was bad! The very small portion of the Wagyu beef was Medium Well to Well Done and appeared to have been burnt over a flame. When we told our server, his comment was, "That's why I recommended the Japanese A5 Wagyu [at an additional $80 per person!]." Sorry burnt beef if burnt beef, no matter what the price. Training/Expectations seem low: Where do they get their water glasses? On the discount table at Walmart? These two are different styles on the same table; at least our two were the same style, although different from those two. And the dessert spoons -- two different styles given to us. I expect (and I am sure others also do) a much higher standard at this famous Iron Chef restaurant. DELIGHTS: Course 1 - The Toro Tartare was so tasty. We are used to a tartare to be chopped, perhaps even finely chopped, but this one was made into a puree. The toppings (caviar and rice crackers were tasty, and the rice crackers looked like little sweet ice cream toppings. Course 2 - Red Snapper Carpaccio was liked by someone who does not normally like raw fish. The light sauce added a subtle dash of flavor, and we were able to roll the pieces with chop sticks and heat an entire price at once. Course 3 - Lobster Takoyaki. The three "lobster balls" were served warm, and they were very tasty. A large piece of lobster in each roll was a true delight. Course 4 - Sushi. The 5 pieces of nigiri were Chu Toro, Hamachi, Salmon, Campachi, and Big Eye Tuna. There was a light smear of wasabi between the fish and the rice; I had already asked for more (and hotter) wasabi that I mixed with the soy sauce. We brought a few pieces of the sushi back to the condo for a later snack. Course 6 -- the dessert was so-so in my opinion. Sharon liked it, so it was probably just my tastebuds and not the actual dessert. We had planned to go back to Morimoto Maui next week for a special Wagyu and Wine pairing, but based on last night's Wagyu failure, we have cancelled the reservation. I hope that our next dinner at a stateside Morimoto restaurant (probably Morimoto Napa in 4 weeks) is a much better experience for us.

One day she took my number and texted me when our table was ready (and I killed time at the lobby shops and artisan stands while my husband enjoyed the open air lobby views). The staff are kind, friendly and even offered area activity recommendations. The ocean view is incredible-- it can be enjoyed best on the patio, and from many of the indoor tables. The buffet includes unlimited coffee, tea, juices (love the POG juice), coke products (you can ask for a to go cup on your way out! I recommend asking for ice)-- as well as a made to order omelet. Then there is the entire buffet. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of options. Loved the avocado toast bar-- it was so flavorful! I loved the scones were different flavors each day. I eat eggs, so I sometimes had the scramble, sometimes a veggie omelet (I liked to top it with parmesan cheese from the avocado toast bar). I enjoyed the breakfast potatoes (they changed them up a bit each day), and the variety of salads. They even had a marinaded tofu! The place is kid friendly. There is a parking garage.

Skip the buffet. The eggs were watery and soupy, and the "Hawaiian sausage" turned out to be little more than sliced hot dogs. For a resort of this caliber in a destination known for incredible food, it felt surprisingly low effort. Service was probably the strongest part of the experience, but even that was average at best. I'd call it a 6 out of 10. Friendly enough, but not the level of hospitality you'd expect given the prices and setting. The disconnect is especially noticeable because the Wailea Beach Resort itself is fantastic. We genuinely loved our stay and would absolutely return to the property. That's what makes the restaurant so disappointing. It feels like a business operating inside a great resort rather than an extension of the resort experience. If you're staying at the Wailea Beach Resort, do yourself a favor and explore the many excellent dining options around Wailea instead. Meanwhile, our server walked past our table several times without checking on us or asking if we'd like another round of drinks--which we actually would have ordered. When our entrees arrived, the biscuits still hadn't come out. Shortly afterward, our server finally checked on us. I let her know that since our meals had already arrived, we no longer needed the biscuits and simply asked that they not be included on the bill. Her response was, "Well, they're made fresh and in the oven now. I guess I can go tell the kitchen you don't want them anymore." I replied, "They were supposed to be our appetizer, and our meals are already here now." Before I could even finish my sentence, she walked away while I was still speaking and appeared to mumble something under her breath. That interaction left my husband and me feeling shocked and disappointed. We've dined at many restaurants over the years and have never felt spoken to in that manner. We had considered asking to speak with a manager at that point, but honestly, we just wanted to finish our meal and leave without any further uncomfortable interactions. This was especially disappointing because Tommy Bahama has always been one of our favorite restaurants and a place we genuinely look forward to visiting whenever we're in Hawaii. We hope this experience was an exception rather than the standard, because the food continues to be wonderful--the service simply did not match the quality we've come to expect.

Loved this place last year and ate there 3 times in a week. They were friendly, the food sophisticated, the service excellent. They handled my husband's Celiac disease with knowledge and attention. That was last year. We ate there last night. We had reserved a table on the lanai. When we arrived there were multiple parties waiting and no host/hostess in sight for 5 minutes. The party they sat before us were clearly given our table as they offered us a table in the lounge. We declined and were given a table on the back porch in full earshot of the loud dance band...entertaining to watch but not what we had in mind for a quiet dinner for 4. Our server greeted us with the dessert specials for the night. Yes, the DESSERT specials. She left menus and came back about 10 minutes later and took our drink order, appetizer order, and dinner order all at once. Or tried to. She was stymied by questions about the dishes and in spite of the menu stating clearly to ask about Gluten Free options available she was clueless. We asked her to ask the kitchen what was safe but when she returned she could only say that the fish special was probably okay. She seemed confused, or perhaps disinterested, that Celiac disease is not a preference it is a food allergy. The 2 glasses of wine, 1 beer, and 1 iced tea took a half hour to come. The appetizers arrived shortly thereafter and all were good. The manager, Jaron, came to ask us if all was well and when we told him about the server he said he would make sure we left happy that night. Our entrees arrived. The jambalaya and the ahi were both good, the fish sandwich was fine but the french fries were clearly frozen and nothing special. (and not hot) My husband's steak, at $34.95 was thin and bland. Jaron offered us dessert on the house to make up for the terrible service but when the bill came he had only comped one of the 4 desserts. When it was brought to his attention he agreed to adjust the bill...but then only took 3 of the desserts off. At any rate, he didn't seem particularly concerned about our experience although he did give us 2 coupons for a free appetizer with 2 entrees...but we would have to agree to potentially sacrifice another dinner and another $190.00 to use them. It is a shame when a restaurant is run as if vacationers either don't know the difference between a badly served meal and a well served meal, or their stay will be so fleeting they wouldn't come back any way. read more

What an incredible start to our Hawaiian culinary journey! My wife and I are here for a wedding, and we knew we had to dive into the local flavors. Three's Bar & Grill, a spot we'd seen on Triple D, was our first stop, and it certainly didn't disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the experience was fantastic. The hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming, quickly seating us even without a reservation. We were lucky enough to get Maria, who turned out to be the best waitress! We also hit happy hour, which was a huge bonus since everything on Oahu can be a bit pricey. We kicked things off with two Top Shelf Mai Tais, made with Don Q rum, guava, pineapple, orgeat, lime, and a Kraken rum float. At $9.50 each during happy hour, they were an absolute steal and utterly delicious - just be mindful if you're driving! For food, we decided to try a variety of happy hour appetizers. The Crispy Pork Belly was amazing. These large cuts of bacon came with a vibrant green papaya salad, chili gastrique, mac nuts, onion, and herbs. Seriously, don't skip the "salad noodles" underneath; they're packed with flavor. Next up were the Kaua'i Pork Nachos - fresh tortilla chips loaded with guacamole, cilantro aioli, tomato, jalapeño, and a drizzle of truffle oil. They were fantastic, super crunchy, and the chips stayed crisp the whole time. Our least favorite, but still good, was the Garlic Fried Noodles with crispy garlic ramen noodles, green onion, and spicy sesame soy. Overall, it was a truly great experience, and our waitress, Maria from Colombia, was an absolute delight - so kind and helpful. We're already planning a second trip back with more friends from the wedding party! If you're thinking of going, I'd definitely recommend making reservations, or at least eating early. If not, the hostess will still make you feel welcome and do her best to seat you quickly, though larger groups might have a bit of a wait. read more

My partner and I decided to give Three's a try on a recent date night. It was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, there was no line and I could see there were at least a half a dozen empty tables. We let the hostess know it was just the two of us and she promptly started clicking away on her keyboard. I'm assuming to find us a table? After standing there for quite some time she looks up and says it will be a 10 minute wait. Hmmm... that should have been the first red flag. When we were finally seated our server approached and asked if we would like drinks. We order, then he asks if I'm of age but never asks for my ID. Just stares at me. I offer it, he glances then walks away. It was extremely uncomfortable. We ordered a panko crusted ahi roll, some spicy roll, and the seafood curry. First off, I eat A LOT of sushi. And living in Hawaii means I get to enjoy some of the very best. This sadly was some of the worst I've ever had. Honestly, it was on par with pre-packaged from Foodland. I'm not a total sushi snob but for what they charge they should be 1000 times better. The curry actually had ok flavor but it was impossible to eat without using your hands to peel the shrimp. Not particularly sexy in this instance and my dress agreed. The toast on the side was soggy and severely burnt. Our bill for this and two beers was over $80 folks. I was so upset with the quality of the food. I could have had a killer dinner up the road for the same price. That's what I get for venturing beyond my comfort zone. One more thing that was really odd... The restrooms were fine but when in the stall I noticed the paper roll was empty and on the back of the toilet was a huge foot wide warehouse roll. Three's Bar and Grill came highly recommended to me by multiple people before my trip, so it was definitely on my list of places to check out. We arrived for lunch right when they opened, so there weren't many people there, but I really loved the ambiance and the decor. The space feels warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. They also offer great happy hour specials, so be sure to check the days and times to take advantage of some fantastic discounts on food and drinks. A quick note: their lunch sushi service doesn't start until 12 PM and only runs until 3 PM. For lunch, we ordered the Loco Moco, a traditional Hawaiian dish consisting of white rice topped with a hamburger patty, brown gravy, and a fried egg. The words "loco" and "moco" translate to "crazy" and "burger," and this dish definitely lives up to its name. It was comforting and delicious, a perfect introduction to Hawaiian comfort food. The waiter also recommended their ramen, which is one of their top sellers. Apparently, they were even featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri for their ramen, so I knew I had to try it. It's served with soy chicken broth and topped with tender pork belly. It was rich, flavorful, and definitely lived up to the hype. To finish off my meal, I treated myself to a cocktail called "Ocean's Dream." Since I don't usually drink alcohol, it was a bit strong for me, but I asked the waiter to add some Sprite, and it made the drink much more enjoyable. I really appreciated that small adjustment--it made all the difference. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I'm so glad I made time to visit. The menu is inspired and shows potential. They've only been open three weeks, so it will have to sort itself out a bit. Based on the menu board outside and an attractive dining room, we went in and were promptly seated in the bar, in a table between the computer printer and the restroom (which smelled), while the attractive dining room went almost completely empty. My guess is the girls at the front wanted to be sure all servers got equal tables. Change the stations. No music, lousy paint job, poor execution. The staff was very pleasant. Kihei is a party town and this place, duly named a bar and grille, is in the center of it, so we expected a hybrid based on the information at hand. We started with a couple of salads and an appetizer. They require refinement that I believe will come. The absolutely horrible table kept us from staying to try the entrees. Guys, if you're reading this, throw the two seat tables in the bar out the back door or switch them to bar tables and DON'T seat customers in their 40's there!!!. These tables are TERRIBLE choices! They've opened prior to receiving their liquor license, so it's impossible to see how this restaurant will sort itself out. We'll be back in a couple of months, once they've established their identity and we can see from the street what we're getting, to give it another shot. These are very nice people and the place, and concept, certainly show promise. They are concerned with customer service, have great smiles, and clearly want to have great success. Amazing Experience at Three's Bar and Grill Three's Bar and Grill in Kihei is easily a 5 out of 5 star restaurant! My girlfriend and I had an exceptional experience dining here, and every aspect of our visit was perfect--from the quality of the food and service to the beautiful ambiance and location. The atmosphere at Three's Bar and Grill is laid-back yet elegant, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal after a day of exploring Maui. The combination of outdoor seating and cozy indoor vibes added to the overall experience, making it even more enjoyable. As for the food, everything we ordered tasted amazing. We took photos of most of our dishes, but we couldn't resist digging into the Lava Roll before taking a picture because it was so good! I wish I could remember our waiter's name because he was exceptional--friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The prices were reasonable given the high quality and portions. Out of all the restaurants we visited on the island, this one topped them all, even surpassing the pricier, fancier spots, which didn't leave us feeling as satisfied. I highly recommend Three's Bar and Grill if you're ever in Kihei. The menu has something for every craving, and the ambiance will have you leaving with a smile. A must-visit spot on Maui! read more

I used to speak highly of Three's. . . Memorably poor experience due to waitress Lauren, who aggressively ignored me, whereas the employee was overly-flirtatious toward my partner. The tattooed waitress neither spoke to nor looked toward me; however, she asked my date numerous personal questions, even inviting him solely back to the restaurant multiple times for "happy hour" (I was not drinking and do not drink). Lauren's contrasting treatment was comically clear, with no prior exposure of the woman to justify her pointed and macho disregard. I repeatedly smiled and said "thank you" to Lauren, to which she continuously fawned over my date. Moreover, managers reply with contempt, disdain, insults and false accusations when alerted to the issue, sans apology. The issue of disrespect could have been avoided if hostess Sam would have taken our to-go order over the phone. The to-go app was not working at the time, and we tried to call-in orders. Lauren and her coworkers' disregard is significant enough to document publicly; Three's owners' would benefit from firing and rehiring appropriate staff. As I walked up to Three's Bar and Grill, a lady on the side of the street offered me a free sample of fudge. I now wish that I had taken the offer, for it would've given me a chance to have second thoughts about visiting Three's. Now, I have to say that the venue was nice and waiters/waitresses were very polite. However, the main issue that I had with Three's was the food. First of all, could some body explain why they are serving sushi in a bar? Maybe it is just a pet peeve of mine, but it doesn't seem right to me. Anyhow, the food that I ordered was Kaluna Pork Nachos with a side of fries. I was really excited, and partially astounded, at the fact that I could have guacamole here if I were to get the nachos. When the order finally came, I was disappointed at the amount of guacamole on the dish. It was about as mush as a spoonful of whipped cream! When it came to the fries, I tasted a slight, but very noticeable, aftertaste. Yeah, no. Now, I am not saying that I will never go to Three's again. Maybe the dishes I had were just made by chefs who were only starting their career there. As I said before, the restaurant was nice and the waiters/waitresses were polite. This restaurant has a lot of problems, so let me tell you some! The first thing I see when I walk in is a bunch of flies flying around the restaurant! Not sanitary! Our hostess, who had red hair, was wearing a very short dress. One that allowed people to see her underwear and butt cheeks if she bent over. That dress would be suitable attire for a strip club, but most definitely not a restaurant! The food that I ordered was sushi. It was presented nicely, with the rice and seaweed on the outside. However, the rice was so sticky that I felt as though I would have to use pliers to get it off of my fingers when I picked up the sushi to eat. Another thing that I noticed was that my waiter never came back to say, "How is everything?" That could be taken by some people as disrespect or lack of care. My waiter also had hair thinning. I didn't think much of it until I saw another waiter who had acne. I realized that these conditions were signs that the waiters were very stressed out! In conclusion, I will say this. Charged gratuity on to-go! This place is ridiculous. Just because Guy from triple D has been here, they act like they can do whatever ethyl want! The food was very mediocre! But the prices were outrageous! Paid $160 for a sandwich, a few chicken entrees and a few sushi rolls! The crazy part is they actually charged me gratuity on my to-go order. Like you want to charge customers more money, pick up the prices...wait...you already did! I always leave tips! But when you sleeze balls charge that on the back end, after an order was made? That's insulting! And the waitresses reasoning was, it's because we are a busy place and we are popular on the strip!. Uhmmm! Disgusting! The order also took over an hour and they called me and were like, are you going to pick up your food? Like duh! You told me to wait an hour! I absolutely adore this place! The chiefs are fantastic, the hosts and servers are polite, knowledgable and treat you as if you were in a five star resort. The bar tenders pour darn good drinks, not like some of the other places you will visit. Happy hour is super reasonable too. On my 21/2 week vacation to Maui, I must have gone to 'Three's Bar & Grill' about 5 times. I just kept going back for the food, service, drinks and good vibes. Be sure to sit on the patio at least once. The food is so good that even if your stuffed, you just want a few more tastes. I NEVER eat after I'm full, well, not unless I went to Three's. I will be staying in S. Kehei next time I visit Maui just so I don't have to drive from the other side of the island to get there next time. We had been eager to try this place the day before, but it was way too busy, so we decided to come back the next day at a different time, craving sushi rolls. To our surprise, it was empty when we arrived. Our first thought was, "Uh-oh, they don't have AC inside, we're going to cook in here!" The staff was friendly, though, and they kindly offered us a table outside, which turned out to be quite comfortable with nice weather. We were there during happy hour and decided to try a panko-breaded ahi roll. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The roll was mostly rice, it was bland and pretty disappointing. After that, we didn't feel inclined to order anything else. We were hoping for a better sushi experience, but based on the first roll, we opted to call it a day. I recently dined here and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. While the restaurant had friendly staff, I found the food to be disappointing. I ordered the jambalaya, but was disappointed to find that it lacked flavor and seasoning. Additionally, the wings were overcooked and dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The french fries were also a letdown, they did not seem fresh and tasted of old oil. Although I appreciated the effort of the server, the taste of the dishes fell short of my expectations. I think the restaurant could improve by focusing on the quality of the ingredients and the balance of flavors in their dishes. Overall, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was a letdown. The food and service I would say is 3.5 to 4, so it's pretty good. However, what makes this place 5 stars and on my favorite list to visit while in Kihei is the music...more specifically Monday and Tuesday mornings, or Monday evenings when Rose plays! Her music and voice makes the experience of sitting outdoors so much more enjoyable!!! We had to get one of her CD's just because we liked it so much! I would highly recommend that you make this a part of island trip, and specifically on those days out in the patio!!! Yes, it's worth waiting a little bit even if the patio is full! Our only regret is having only 1 week to enjoy it there. We will definitely come back to Three's just to listen to Rose!!! Go there, enjoy the good food, and listen to some amazing music! I recently visited Three's and had a positive experience. I ordered the chimichurri salmon, which, while flavorful, was a bit on the dry side. However, the dish came with their coconut shrimp, and I can confidently say it was the highlight of the meal--perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. My fiancé opted for a Caesar salad and their ramen. The half Caesar was tasty, but the ramen left something to be desired as it seemed to lack in flavor. On the bright side, the service was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and quick. Parking was a breeze, and getting a reservation was super easy, which made the experience a breeze. If you go, I highly recommend trying the coconut shrimp--it's definitely the standout item on the menu! read more

OMG there beer can chicken and broussel sprouts are amazing. Yes I said broussel sprouts don't knock them before you try them. There service is something else, I've never great service from threes I've eatin there at least 6 times the food is great drinks are good but service horrible. The first time I went the server skipped our table several times to get knew tables walking in, the manager saw it and told her to take our table she still didn't so he placed the order for us. I hope the owners read these comments great food OMG I'll keep coming back even though I've never had up to Parr service there, it's just one of those places me and my friends say we love the food and expect to have bad service. read more

Went in on a busy Saturday night. I suggest to go in early if you don't want to wait 30 minutes for a table. Cons-long wait time for table Food took over 30 minutes to arrive The waiters only go to your table once then disappear I understand restaurants get busy, but please don't forget your customers and their food. Pros- the drinks were yummy! Food was decent I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars only because the sweet gal (Mikayla) took care of us and made sure we were ok and went out of her way to get us everything we needed. For that reason we will give the restaurant a second chance. I think the kitchen needs a lot of work. Food was decent but it's not 35 minutes to come decent. read more

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by friends who live on the Island. We decided to take a chance and let me tell you they did NOT disappoint!! Came here on a Friday night they were pretty busy but we only had to wait ten minutes. The food was so flavorful, lots of different options, and a great happy hour! The service is what made me give this 5 stars, if I could give more stars I would! We were treated so well since the minute we sat down. Our server was delightful and the manager Makayla was so attentive and constantly checking on us and everyone else. Those are people you want to have working for you! We decide to do this place for dinner after looking it up on here. It look good so why not. We got there and I was a bit skeptical about not having reservations. The took my name down and preference of seating, outside verses inside, and texted me when the table was ready. They told me a 30 minutes wait but it was sooner. I would have waited as long as it took because the food was SO GREAT. We had the Mahi Mahi special of the day and it was way more than I expected. Joe our waiter was fantastic. Took our order, got us drinks and the food arrived all in impeccable time. Wish we had more time on Maui we would go back for all the rest of the meals. read more
