When I first came here, they told me each chiropractor visit would cost 70$$ if I pay in cash and 130~140$$ if i pay with insurance. I thought it was ok, everyone wants to make a little extra money right? BUT after my 6th visit, my insurance company got a $1500 bill!! that's 250$$ per visit?!! Also the front desk guy(Ethan?) is very rude and unprofessional(i think he is co-owner of this shitty place), when I called to ask why my bill is so high, he kept on answering "I DO NOT KNOW YOU NEED TO DEAL THIS WITH THE CHIROPRACTOR!!" Contrary to Pretty I's experience and even though I encountered a similar situation with my insurance company, Dr. Linda Wang and her staff have been nothing but up front with me. With regards to the consult/treatment/insurance. I was told that the consultation would be waved if I sought treatment from them immediately afterwards. If I chose to have the consultation, but then decided against treatment, I of course knew that I had to pay a fee for their time. In the beginning, they didn't think that my insurance was going to cover treatment, so each session, I paid the $60. However, as it turned out, my insurance did in fact cover it and I was fully reimbursed by Dr. Wang. As for the actual treatment being administered. Every time I go, the doctor asks how I'm feeling, I explain any concerns, I receive acupuncture first and then the magical acupressure. I don't know what she's doing, but every single time I leave, I am unbelievably relaxed. Needless to say I look forward to that one hour a week session like a child anticipating a trip to the candy store. The doctor and I both knew I'd not be completely healed in one session and she was very open about that (I have a thyroid condition, so I'm used to uphill battles). But I must say that I feel better than I have in a long time and definitely have more energy than before and while I agree that not every situation/environment is for everyone, Dr. Linda Wang is committed to helping people and has most certainly done so for me. read more

Dr. Helen Wang is the best Chiropractor I've ever been to! By a long shot. I had lost all hope and respect in chiropractors in the 90s. I remember sitting in a waiting room with five other people, getting ushered into one of the many rooms, where I would wait for the three minute visit with the chiro. Crack, crack, goodbye and off he'd go to the next patient. At that rate, they could pack many patients into every hour and it felt like a factory. Not only that, but to be honest, I felt that that impact on my body was hardly noticable, if at all. I stopped going and never really missed it. How sad for the profession, which has the potential to do so much good for so many people. I'm so happy to have found Helen Wang. I have been seeing her for about four months now. I have been seeing Dr. Wang (the older one) for 5 months now. Back in August, I was on 2 anti-depressants, 1 anti-anxiety and 1 sleeping medication. I had been taking Ambien for 3 years, nightly, at that point. My life was out of control and my Kaiser doctor had just told me she thought I should also be on blood pressure meds - and I am in my early 40's. Out of desperation, I decided to try acupuncture and chose the Natural Healing Center because of the reviews and bc I live in Mountain View. I was asked a bunch of questions by Dr. Wang (while Ethan took notes) I told Dr. Wang I had stress and anxiety and was on all kinds of medications and wanted to get off them. Although her English is heavily accented, she was able to communicate quite well w me. I have since found that the less I talk, the more I can relax! She gave me acupuncture (30 minutes) and then massage/scrub/adjustment type body-work. She also gave me two different kinds of herbs to take. Needless to say, within a WEEK I was able to sleep without the Ambien! That is nothing short of a miracle...but I also weaned myself off one anti-depressant and stopped the anti-anxiety medication completely. I am also ready to start weaning myself off the last anti-depressant. My blood pressure has stabilized to higher than average but not what it was. My energy has returned. She also helps out when I have acute pain in my neck or lower back, helps me with PMS and even when I have had a bad cold. Dr. Wang fixed my shoulder problem and eased my pain. I have frozen shoulder on my right side, and have been in pain for a couple months. Western doctors have told me that it was aging and the symptoms would go away as the body adjusted to it. Out of despair, I sought out Dr Wang. She explained to me what happened to my anatomy, and the possible causes of frozen shoulders. She used multi-prone approach to treat me: accupuncture, accupressure, and cupping. I started seeing Dr. Wang when I was on a medical leave for my migraines. I'm amazed that she has been able to offer me pain relief so quickly. She is very accomodating when it comes to scheduling appointments and her office includes it's own parking lot! I haven't been able to stomache the Chinese herb tea which is supposed to really work in conjunction with the accupuncture and she hasn't given me a hard time about it which is actually nice. She does a great accupressure massage which is really the main reason I go back each week. She is very direct and to the point and mentioned that I have slow chi which could be causing the migraines. Hah, she also pointed out that I would also find relief from my migraines if I lose my excess bodyweight....something no woman wants to hear......ever! I first when to see Dr Wang back in 9/10/2007 I had gout for 3 months and the palo alto med clinic was not able to control it. I think pamf is great by the way, but I had reactions to drugs they gave me that landed me in the ER. Dr Wang did a combination of acupuncture, herbs with a heat lamp, electrical stimulation, and massage, and I felt better much better after 3 visits. I would go in limping and come out walking normally. She also worked on my wrist - repetitive stress injury from tennis 5 times a week, and reduced the pain and increased the flexibility after 2 visits. I highly recommend this facility and doctor. Update - 10/12/2012 I've been free from moderate to severe gout pain since I saw Dr Wang in 2007. It comes back, but is mild enough that I don't even limp and the pain goes away in 1-3 days. I recently started seeing the doc for another problem. I've had Ankylosing Spondylitis since I was 16, but it has been a mild case for over 30 years. I usually take ibuprofen for about a week out of the year so the pain is pretty infrequent. Since July 2012 the hip pain has been relatively constant and I was doing ibuprofen 600mg 4x/day to control it. I went to Dr Wang 6 times and the pain is gone! No more ibuprofen! I came here for acupuncture and acupressure from a car accident. The lady seemed to have no idea what I was saying, nor caring about anything I was saying to watching out for. she ignored me, and in return she could not give anything near a proper massage. First, I was saying ouch in pain quite a lot. This "doctor" gave me a deep tissue massage to someone with severe nerve damage and scoliosis. I literally feel like I was getting surgery performed on my body! And shoulders (I also wanted to work with my AC Separation.) she was killing me! I couldnt deal with it! This woman was horrible, I am a BIG guy. I had a failed surgery, 4lbs of metal in my back. I can deal with pain, and she had me in tears consistantly. This review is for Dr. Helen Wang and their massage therapists. They also have an acupuncturist on site (also Dr. Wang) but I haven't been treated by her. First off for Dr. Helen. She's a great chiropractor and seems to focus more on muscle and joints rather than just doing adjusting. I have been to three chiropractors and none of them took the time to understand my problems like Dr. Helen. As a heads up, she's only at this office on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. She has another office in Sunnyvale. My only complaint is that the 30-minute chiropractic appointments seem too short and sometimes the schedule is running behind by ~5 minutes. As for the massage therapists, they are really good at what they do! If you're expecting a pansy or soothing massage, this is not the place to go. Here they are focused on working the knots and stress out of your muscles. None of that scented candle and classical music junk. If you like VERY firm massages that leave you almost high afterwards, ask for Lucy. Her hands will destroy every muscle in your body...in a good way! read more

I have been seeing Helen for few weeks, she treated me before 8 years ago. I started my sessions with her few weeks ago with a neck pain problem that I carried for long time after trying YOGA and now she is treating my Achilles tendon that I injured 2 weeks ago while I was on vacation. Calling her a Chiropractor would not be fair to her, she is more than that, I consider her a "sport medicine doctor". First of all, she is sport passioned person, she likes to run and bike and she understands other sports like swimming (my sport preference). Secondly, she analyzes your body and look for problem sources not symptoms. Let me provide two examples. My neck tension and pain origin were posture and shoulders. Other therapists before her worked my neck to alleviate the symptoms, she did that the first session to make me feel better literally in one or two sessions, but then she went to the source and teach me how to keep it under control. The second example was my Achilles tendon, she worked my tendon and in the first session she realized that the tension in my lower back was affecting the way I walk and run and the source of my Achilles problem. It is very hard to find high quality Recovery therapists in bay area, even in the best centers they have high rotation of young therapists with low experience. The most experienced therapists move due to cost of living in bay area, I also can provide examples . Helen is a gem in that perspective and her trick is simple, she runs her own business. Dr Lin Ying Wang is awesome! She is very proficient in applying acupuncture & acupressure together to improve my health. When I started planning to get pregnant, I was worried that I would get sick during pregnancy since I got sick once a month for 4 months in a row. I visited Dr Lin Ying Wang hoping to have my health tuned up to get ready for pregnancy. After the first few acupuncture & acupressure treatments, I could tell I got more energized for daily activities and stopped getting sick. After about 2-3 month acupuncture and acupressure treatment, Dr Wang told me I was ready to get pregnant. Soon after that, I got pregnant! I stopped seeing Dr Wang after I knew I was pregnant. However, during my first trimester, I had been feeling to weak & tired (not to mention about my morning sickness) and I looked so pale. I went to see Dr Wang on my 8th week, and she was able to help me get more energized and also helped little with my nausea using acupuncture & acupressure (she knows which spots are safe for pregnancy). I continued to see her until end of my first trimester. After child birth (a C section), I have been suffering carpel tunnel syndrome in addition to feeling very weak & tired. Around 6 weeks postpartum, I went to see Dr Wang. While my OB & my chiropractor said only rest could help my carpel tunnel, it was relieved bit by bit by acupuncture & acupressure (while I still take care of my baby daily). Besides treating me for carpel tunnel syndrome, Dr Wang also improves my blood circulation while help me get more energy to take care of my baby & help me with postpartum blues. However, during this time, an old injury started to come back, so Dr. Linda recommended me to Dr. Helen Wang, the clinic's chiropractor. After my daughter was born, my existing back problem (from an auto accident years before), began to flare up again. I began to search for chiropractors to help cut down the pain, but all the ones I visited only did adjustments, which didn't help me at all. So understandably, I was hesitant the first time I went in to see Dr. Helen. Dr. Helen is excellent and thorough. I know that my back problem isn't going to ever go away completely, but her treatment reduces the pain significantly. If I could choose zero stars, I would. Two words: INSURANCE FRAUD. Everything that the previous reviewer, Alli Y., has written is true because it happened to me and my husband. They fraudulently charged my insurance company $501.00 + $50.00 out of pocket for two visits, where "Dr." Wang literally spent 5 minutes with me total each visit. There are ELEVEN separate charges for services on my insurance statement, ranging from $121, $30, $60, $40, $30, etc., etc... When I asked Ethan about these charges, he brusquely retorts a bs answer that each individual charge was for 15 minutes. My appointment was 1 hour long max (5 minutes to try to explain why you're there (although i'm still not certain she understood me), prick needles, and get a rough scalp rub; rest of the time, you are left alone to lie there with a bunch of painful random needles poking you), so I don't understand how 2 hours worth is equal to 11 different charges with such varying amounts. Both Ethan and the other Chinese lady working the front desk are rude, unprofessional and were very defensive when I called to ask them about the charges on my insurance statement. The Chinese lady is extremely frustrating to talk to anyway because of the language barrier, but she was also yelling at me when I called her initially about the strange charges. Ethan was extremely disrespectful and evasive when I asked him to explain the charges to me. When I told him I would report them to my insurance company and submit a Yelp review for them about what happened to me, he accused me of writing Alli Y's review, which I hadn't seen until now. Obviously, insurance fraud is normal practice for this clinic, so beware, unless you want your insurance premiums to go up. I should have known on my first visit, that all they care about is money, money, money, definitely not your health or well being. Either way, I've filed an official complaint with Blue Shield, my insurance company, and am considering further action with an attorney. read more

I have been suffering from allergies, asthma and coughing non stop- I was taking bendryl, chlormitrine every 4 hours, plus the usual asthma drugs. I was so exhausted - Kaiser put me on 6 weeks of prendisones. It helped a little but I was still coughing and wheezing. Helen suggested I see her mom (I'm afraid of needles), but I gave in and made an appt. Dr. Lin did accupressure and accupuncture on me. She also gave m herbs to make a tea. I have been going to Dr. Wang for the past month because of a gout flair up. The gout attack was so severe in my left ankle that I could hardly walk (even with a cane). My western doctor asked me to go to the emergency room for some x-ray but nothing came of it. So, I went back to my doctor and he prescribed some strong pain meds and suggested that I should lose some weight, exercise, and watch what I eat. Great! My friend suggested that I try something different. I decided to try Dr. Wang and her office. I find that Dr. Wang is professional, caring, experienced, and efficient. I called to make an appt. as a new patient. A person with a heavy accent answered the phone and said there were no appointments available. It took him many tries to say that. I asked when the next appt. opening was, and he couldn't tell me. I am currently in lots of pain and need a chiropractor, and I informed him of this. He did not recommend anyone else and wouldn't tell me when an available spot was open. How can I trust their service will be good? I won't be calling here again. read more

I have suffered from neck, back and shoulder pain for many years. Since going to Dr. Wang, my pain has subsided. She has been able to lessen to a great degree the pain I have been living with, and at times stop it all together. Edit: I thought that you could only schedule an appointment a week ahead of time. I had misunderstood. (I have tinnitus and it can make it hard to hear) The clinic feels clean and smells nice. This is specially important for bathrooms and this one is. There is hot tea in the waiting area or water if you prefer. They call you to confirm / remind you of your appointment. *** chiro with Dr Helen Wang *** I have auto immune disease so my health is really bad. My joints suffer a lot and on top of that I have fibromyalgia and I hurt all the time. Dr Helen Wang has been wonderful. I could not give her a higher review. She not only has made me feel so much better from the visits but she taught me some stretches I could do at home to help. When you go to see her you genuinely feel like she cares and knows what she is doing. She has used an activator on me which is pretty interesting. And easier than for me have my neck adjusted. She has also done ultrasound and used the electronic simulator on my shoulder. I was worried that it would be too much because my shoulder is really bad. But she always adjusts the intensity. I feel so much better since I first went to see her. ***acupuncture with Dr Linda Wang *** this was my first time ever getting acupuncture and I was a bit worried. But Dr Linda told me to make sure to tell her if it hurts and she will adjust it. Make sure to go to bathroom beforehand because once it is in you lay there for a while. However, it is very comfortable and there is relaxing music playing. And every time I lay on my back or my stomach she makes sure I am comfortable. She also did acupressure point massage. which hurts during but after I leave I can tell there is a difference. To be honest I think it has helped my hip bursitis a lot. I have trouble hearing because of my ear ringing and I always make her repeat herself and she never gets annoyed at me. She also did my first cupping ever. She explained it to me and told me that there would be marks for a few days and not worry. It was strange, like sucking, and left really cool marks after. I have it done every time I go now. TMJ fixed,,, i tried 2 different acupuncture, and it did not work. But here after 5 session, it is getting better. It hurts little bit when Dr. Wang was giving me massage on the chick, but it was worth it. Also I had back pain from moving, she would just give me massage ^^. She is nice and really good.
