The Impossible Vegetarian Burger
Victoria S.

Very conveniently located in the heart of Georgetown. Space is cozy and cute with a casual and chill vibe. We were greeted warmly and our service was great. Water was replenished and modifications were able to be made to our orders. I had the impossible burger (one of the few vegan options). The patty was charred nicely and accompanied with some typical greens. I chose French fries as my accompanying side. The fries were extra crispy (may be beer battered). Portions were generous, prices were reasonable. Made for a nice dinner.

Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich w/ Fries

The food was phenomenal and the service was great! There were also a few TVs to watch the games on, which made for a great atmosphere. I ordered the Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (pictured) and it was amazing! The sauce had a great taste and the fries were Golden and Crispy! Mandy was my server/bartender, and she was exceptional! She was very welcoming and made the experience 5 Star!

This burger should come with lettuce, tomato, and onions. However, they did not put the tomatoes or onions on my burger.

I ordered the burger through a delivery service. It should have come with tomatoes and onions, but they left those off my burger. It was not good.

Happy hour is for the bar only!! FYI It's in VERY small print on the sign. We came tired and hungry at 6:20 and there was no space for us at the bar so no happy hour prices for us at the booth. They were out of all local on tap which is annoying when you are a tourist wanting to try new things. The vibe is definitely a fun one. The Freebird chicken sandwich was pretty good. Chicken had amazing flavor and great sandwich fixings but the chicken was a bit tough. The sweet potato fries were yummy. Bathrooms are upstairs and had was stocked and clean. Fine to try. I wouldn't rush back for a second visit.

Friendly staff! Outside patio sitting available. We had been walking around Georgetown and stopped here for the fresh juice and crepe's. Definitely recommend! Delicious and great quality!

Easily my favorite spot on Georgetown for burgers, wings, fried calamari and beers. The burgers and fries were amazing. Simo, Zach, Zouhair. Sarra and Mandy our host/bartender were amazing! Big shout out to them for the amazing hospitality. Ignore the bad reviews. The staff were very attentive and the food is great as well. Will be back again!

Beer Taps

I don't like to write reviews but I couldn't resist writing about their beer taps. I honestly wanted to vomit when I saw them!! They've never been cleaned & it's a health issue. Please hire a professional beer line cleaner and have that taken care of immediately. You can ask your beer distributor for a recommendation!!!

Sage Chicken Brochette Salad

I stumbled upon this after a 25 mile bike ride where my friend and I were just looking to get a midday beer and snack to celebrate. She's lived here longer than I and had visited an earlier iteration of this place years ago. We were greeted by a sweet bartender from Tunisia who was charming to speak with. I was able to practice some French and talk about culture while she poured us some less expensive than normal beers (already a plus). I also browsed the happy hour offerings during the week and it makes this out of the way location for me look real worthwhile. The food was good. I had the chicken brochette salad though i technically ordered the sandwich...language/listening translation issue. The salad was what I needed (a carbs break) and it was tasty, savory, but a little small on portion with the way that sautéed spinach cooks down. The flavors were good so no major complaints. I will say, that my friend and I noticed a weird dynamic with the demeanor of most every other person working in the establishment; seemingly between staff and management. I'll leave that at that though; draw your own conclusions. I'd pop back in here.

There Are Hotels. And Then There Is The Jefferson…read more Some places hold history the way marble holds cold, the way a well-appointed room holds silence after a long day of noise. Washington, D.C. is full of those places. Monuments. Halls of power. Streets that hum with the weight of decisions that shaped the world. But The Jefferson sits in a different category entirely. It does not shout its significance. It assumes it. Quietly. Perfectly. The way only a truly great institution can. For a millennial woman who grew up watching The West Wing and Scandal; who came of age believing that proximity to power was a personality trait, walking into The Jefferson feels like arriving somewhere you already knew existed but had not yet been permitted to enter. The lobby does not try to impress you. It simply receives you. Dark wood, dramatic marble,, soft light, the kind of quiet that costs something. I came for an afternoon. I left with a story. It started with a glass of wine and a question. The wine was easy. The question was better. I turned to Mike, the bartender, the kind of professional who carries himself with the quiet competence of someone who has never once doubted a pour, and I asked him directly: how confident are you in making the perfect martini? Sky high, he said. He was not wrong. Gin. A wash of vermouth. Nothing more. Stirred, because some things are not up for negotiation, and James Bond has a lot to answer for. The glass arrived impossibly cold, impossibly clear, with a lemon twist curled inside like a small, elegant secret. The first sip was the kind that makes you set the glass down slowly, look at nothing in particular, and simply exhale. That was the drink. That was the moment. That was The Jefferson saying: you are exactly where you should be. What followed was a burger. But calling it a burger is like calling the Library of Congress a place with books. They heard me. Gluten free toast in place of a bun, no hesitation, no substitution tax levied in the form of a lesser experience. The patty was serious. The cheese was melted with intention. And then, the Dijon. Two small jars of Clovis, the kind of condiment that makes you wonder why you ever settled for anything else. Thick. Complex. The culinary equivalent of a strong opinion delivered with grace. This is what D.C. does to you when you let it. When you stop moving long enough to sit at a bar that has probably hosted quiet conversations that changed things, and you order something beautiful, and you let the afternoon arrive. This city is not just for politicians and lobbyists and people with lanyards. It belongs, equally, to the ones who show up knowing what they want and how to ask for it. Stirred. Not shaken. Mike understood that before I finished the sentence. And The Jefferson understood it long before I walked through the door.

Went to watch a World Cup match, wisely made reservations online. There was nothing available…read moreindoors but was able to get an outdoor patio table (temps were decent with low humidity). Called as well for confirm that our table would be near a big screen table. When we got there we were led to our reservation, tv view and sound were good. We requested and got an umbrella for the table for shading. The menu had World Cup specials as well as the usual happy hour menu. The outdoor bar area had a water jug for free refills so we can stay hydrated. I got a Sauvignon blanc, and tried some spritz drink as well. Very fitting for summer. Staff came by often to check on us but were not intrusive. Indoor area was nice but too loud (glad we dined Al Fresco).

We both got the All American Burger and it was awesome! Piled high with extras like fresh lettuce, flavorful tomatoes, sharp onion, slightly spicy mayo - MORE PLEASE!!!! The bun was strong enough to hold up to all the ground beef, toppings and delicious beef drippings. The french fries were crispy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside!!! The service - this time from Samantha Co - was great as always even in a dining room that was packed solid. She took excellent care of us! Thank you, Samantha Co!!! Will we be back to The Admiral? Oh hell yes! Do I recommend The Admiral to anyone wanting a casual place for good food and solid drinks in Dupont Circle? Oh hell yes! I am definitely a fan!

Before heading to the airport for our flight, we had a few hours to spare and decided to grab some…read morelunch. My husband did a little research and found this burger spot. From start to finish, I have absolutely no negative feedback at all. 1. The Food Everything we ordered was completely divine! Here's the rundown: -Sandwiches: My husband got a Bogan Bun. My son a Mumbo Bun chicken sandwich and listen, he didn't speak a single word the entire meal because he was enjoying it so much! I ordered the Lucky Bun made with an Impossible patty. It was everything! Best I've had at a restaurant! In fact, my son, who loves beef burgers and claims he doesn't like plant based meat, ended up eating the rest of my burger! He tore that plant based meat DOWN! -Thick cut chips & Queso: The waiter let us know that their portion of fries (chips) could easily feed 3 to 4 people. He was not lying at all. The three of us shared one basket. I don't know if the sandwiches or the fries stole the show. These fries were seasoned to absolute perfection!!! SERIOUSLY! Not the typical sprinkle on top, but seasoned on every single side like someone picked up each fry and hand sprinkled each fry. Think I'm fibbing look at my pic. We ordered a side of queso for dipping and it was so good I wish I had some right now. If you're reading, hear me out Lucky Bun....add tortilla chips and queso to the menu please!!!! I would buy it just to scoop up that delicious cheese. -The Garlic Aioli: why am I highlighting a condiment???? Because!! lol!! It wasn't just standard mayo mixed with garlic powder. You could tell someone actually finely minced fresh garlic and herbs into it. It was so good I couldn't decide whether to dip my fries in the aioli or the queso! So that's why it's in my review! 2. Service The service was exceptional. There was no wait time at all. We walked straight in and were seated immediately. The food came out extremely fast which surprised us since we all ordered completely different proteins. They were speedy but all of our food arrived perfectly warm. The host, a slim gentleman, and our waitress, a lovely young lady rockin locs, were both incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I'm telling you good service makes the food even better! 3. Restaurant Look and Seating The inside of the restaurant is fairly small, but they maximized the space with multiple tables and a full service bar. They also have outdoor dining and a front waiting area with outdoor furniture, which would be perfect for a nice summer day. You don't even have to ask me because you already know the answer. YES!!! The next time I am in DC, I will specifically make time to go there. Even if I'm not staying in the immediate area, I would gladly take an Uber just to eat here again and so will my family! Make sure you get there too!

Stepped into Lucky Buns DC recently (I have not been here for several months) and wow, what a meal!…read more I went for the classic combo - a patty melt and fries - and both were absolutely on fire. The patty melt was perfectly cooked, juicy, and hit all the right spots, and those fries were crisp, seasoned just right, and seriously addictive. Service was great. Young bartender Noah with braids held it down. Young man was raised right! Go Commanders lol. Go Wizards! Restaurant was comfy, dark and chill. Inside and outside dining options. The mosquitoes aren't out yet so enjoy the patio. But honestly, the real star of the show, the one that truly stole my heart and taste buds, was the Antigua Bound drink. It was so good I had to get it twice! Seriously, this drink is a game-changer. It's got that perfect balance of refreshing and delicious that just makes you want to savor every sip. You know a drink is special when it outshines a stellar patty melt and fries, and the Antigua Bound definitely did that. Do yourself a favor and get to Lucky Buns DC (18th Street location) for some amazing food, and whatever you do, do NOT leave without trying the Antigua Bound. You'll thank me later! You're welcome!
