Loved the mushroom summer rolls, especially the sauce! The vegan Caesar salad had a perfectly light and creamy dressing. The pulled mushroom tacos fell apart almost immediately, as they were also topped with pico de gallo, so I would not order them next time. The staff was great, the restaurant was clean and safe with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Minus 1/2 a star if I could because the music was extremely loud, club-level loud, but that could be so the outside tables could hear it, and the lighting was extremely low. T&T USED to be a wonderful restaurant, now look at all the bad reviews! I've been going there for over 7 years. Not anymore. No one is going in there anymore: the place used to packed night after night, now the bar is completely empty during dinner and the entire place is like a ghost town. They removed the best items from the menu (no more chicken tenders!) and they've jacked up the prices to the level where it's a complete joke ($15 for a small plate of French fries!). Everything we ordered came out flavorless, overcooked, and burnt. The server was snarky and clearly didn't like his job. Although I'm not gluten free, Thyme & Tonic has an amazing variety in its gluten free menu. The fish tacos I ordered did not taste "gluten free" in the slightest. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun, which also tasted like a regular, wheat, bun. The Avo and Smoke (smoked salmon, avocado, on millet and teff bread) was pretty good. I enjoyed the bread which was different. This place used to be a favorite. I went last night and had the worst meal of my life. First, they told us they were out of plates. Then it took 25 minutes to order drinks or get water. We received drinks 50(!) minutes later. Upon ordering, we were told the restaurant was out of buns (most of the restaurant are burgers) and most of the mains they usually offer. When we received our (cold) food an hour later, it was lacking any of the ingredients like sauces or veggies that were listed on the menu. In place of that, the food, regardless of the dish, was soaked in canola oil, soggy, tasteless and slapped poorly onto a small side plate. The staff seemed to act as though all of this was normal, and the entire experience was pretty shocking considering I used to attend this restaurant frequently. I wanted to like this place. Party of five for a Sunday evening dinner. When I visit a kosher establishment I make allowances for the difficulties in running one. I really do. All I ask is professional service, fresh ingredients, and some attention to detail. The menu was promising. The passion fruit lemonade was fine, as were the cocktails. The spring roll had no flavor The Buffalo chickn substitute tasted only like Frank's hot sauce. The dumplings were gummy. The Brussels sprouts were excellent. My veggie burger tasted like nothing but salt, on a less than fresh roll. My niece's tuna was over cooked to cardboard consistency. My son's plate was dirty. The water glass has something floating in it. My daughter in law's pasta with pesto was inedible. Two of us tasted it: it tasted like soapy dishwater. The waitress was hapless, but pleasant. The fact is, nothing had much flavor on anyone's plate besides salt. Except for the pasta, which soapy. This place has every possibility in the world. Re-train the chef. Work on quality control with the greens. Put herbs in something besides the signature cocktail. And get the poor waitress some competent help. Hello to anyone reading this: Since this garbage-dump of a restaurant made me get this app to book a reservation I might as well write a review. This is gonna be long review, so I'm going to give you a quick tldr: DON'T EAT HERE!!! So I found myself in this hell hole after visiting Central Park. Thought, "Hm this looks like good, and it's close by. Why not?" Bad idea. I can basically only say a couple of good things about this restaurant. The area was scenic and so was the restaurant. Every worker there was so pleasant and helpful. Our waiter was very kind and did his best. Now, onto my rant. 1. The service was horrible. "But you just said the waiter was nice?," You may be thinking to yourself. I did say that, because he was. However, the place was SEVERELY understaffed. They had this man working double-time, serving like, 10 tables; so I can't really blame him for the long wait. 2. THE FOOD WAS F-ING GARBAGE. My "plain Jane" burger sounded exactly like what it was, plain asf. No seasoning, wasn't cooked, and I still have a stomach ache. The spring rolls were soggy and the dumplings were cold. The only good food this place had were the fries, but if I were to stick a chimp on fryer duty I bet it could do the same job, so that's not saying much. (That's harsh of me, but I mean cmon'. Can't be that hard to do your job.) I've heard the drinks here are good, but honestly if I'm looking to grab a drink, there are plenty of other places with half decent food to go along with it. 10/10 brunch spot. I just moved to the UWS from downtown so I'm on the hunt for new brunch spots. T&T have lots of outdoor seating and it's distanced well and clean. The menu has so many different types of brunch food it was hard to decide! I got the BYO eggs and my SO got the rise and shine breakfast sandwich. Both were so great, like actually. The breakfast potatoes are garlicky and yummy. The latkes were crunchy and soft on the inside. Get the lychee spritzer drink! It's refreshing and who doesn't like lychee. So they have many contemporary vegetarian and fresh options. I had the wild mushroom hash, which was good with terrific ingredients (a bit under seasoned). We got there at about 11:45am and half of the restaurant was empty yet we were told that we could not be seated because you needed reservations BUT if we wait until 12:30 then MAYBE she can squeeze us in. She sits us down in one of the empty tables where she could've sat us down at 11:45am. We placed our orders at 12:12 and the food comes out 25 minutes later and there are still empty tables all around us. I should preface this by saying that I am not vegan but my boyfriend is and we were both disappointed in the food. We shared the pancakes and we both ordered the eggs with homefries, bread...I got sausage and he got bacon. My sausage patty looked burnt..I really thought they gave me a brownie. My boyfriends bacon tasted like plastic jerky. I did not like the bread and the food did it have flavor. Vegan food doesn't have to be flavorless but this meal was and I don't think I would order the vegan stuff again. Anyway, we ended up leaving around 1:15 and there were still empty tables. Finding a restaurant when you don't eat gluten can be very difficult. When I found Thyme and Tonic I was thrilled to have a place where I can safely eat. Unfortunately, the service here is horrible. The servers rush guests, have little to no knowledge about the food and drink, and are quite frankly pretty rude. The food took ages to come out and came cold, wine glasses dirty with the lipstick of previous guests, plates dirty with unwashed sauce and crumbs from the dishes that were last served on them, table covered in gunk. My partner and I have loved this restaurant and we're sad that we have had such bad experiences here. All that being said, we will continue to eat here because they are one of the few all gluten free restaurants around. Thyme and tonic, your food is amazing and life saving, but please, please please get the service in order. read more

Upper West Side DISASTER here! As a vegan, the menu intrigued me, because there is a large number of vegan options, and it seemed a good choice for meeting a friend who is not a vegan. Sadly that's about the only good thing I can say. Service was horrendous! We were neglected for huge spans of time (25 minutes or more)... had to go hunt people down twice to order something, or to request a check. As for the vegan aspect, a different server (than the one I placed the order with) proceeded to deliver me the *NON* vegan version of what I had ordered. (mind you, I had been sitting there already for 40 minutes and was beyond hungry). Allergies aside, I couldn't track down a waiter for another 10 minutes to tell him. When he admitted that it was in error, he threw the kitchen under the bus, telling us "it was the fourth time today that the kitchen screwed up an order." If he had brought it himself, he would've noticed the mistake. I am stunned that they didn't offer to comp any portion of this very unimaginative meal. read more

Our cocktails took over 30 mins at one point and they brought us the wrong drinks. I got the lavender blue, which was cute and tasty. The food was very disappointing. I've been to this restaurant in the past and was really excited to get to eat at a place that offers plant-based but also non-vegan options (I'm allergic to most non-vegan things except meat). I find the food to be really good and the diy mimosa bar is really fun. However, yesterday I made a reservation for 10 today, and arrived to find that they were setting up for a wedding. I checked my email and found that they had canceled it 15 minutes prior to the reservation. This is super unprofessional behavior, and the entire day should have been blocked off from the start. I am not aware of any health ratings that I just saw on this page but the chick'n sandwich I got was very good as were the desserts he and I tried (he left his remaining portion of his dessert in my apartment). This was my first date with a man who showed a lot of promise. Apparently, unknown to me, this place is kosher. Another thing you should know is that this place seems to have an ethic of inclusivity and respect for people of alternative lifestyles such as the non-binary crowd. There were definitely people here but we could hear each other speak and the ambiance itself was very nice. We only came for the happy hour which is from 11am-6pm during weekdays and 4pm-6pm on weekends. We got here around 4 ish and was told that there won't be any servers until 5pm but we can have a seat at the bar and order a few drinks. At this time the bar was filled with people and luckily there were 2 seats available for my friend and I. The bartenders were extremely friendly and welcoming. The cocktails during happy hour are $8 each and I highly reccomend getting the part time lover, basil gimlet, and garden margarita. If you are someone that does not like the taste of alcohol, the garden margarita is the way to go. The part time lover is fruity and the basil gimlet is minty. They have indoor and outdoor seating and when we left around 6:30 there was not a lot of people in the restaurant. They play good music and it is super clean and well designed. read more

The menu that was advertised on YELP and what was presented when we got there were totally different. I asked about this and was told during the week they only offer a weekday brunch. This was confusing to me as other patrons that were " kid free" seemed to be eating from a different menu with apps and breadbaskets. I almost felt like they didn't want us to stay . Very limited vegan options and overall not that great. We have 4 kids and while they thankfully had a high chair lemonades were $8 and there was limited options for kids. My one child ordered the funfetti waffle and it was - fair at best. My husband and I ordered the vegan smash burger that is $20 with no fries. If you're in the mood for a burger in this area skip this place and head to Shake shack for their quinoa burger. This place should really be listed as $$$ with 2.5 stars at best. Sorry! read more

Went to the AMNH prior and searched places locally with great cocktails and a "plant-like" feel and let me tell you, I got that and MORE! This place was so cute inside AND out. The food was terrific, the Brussels were cooked to perfection and as someone who doesn't like veggie spring rolls, I ate three! I have to make a seperate paragraph for the drinks because they are just THAT good. The drinks are a perfect blend of liquor and fruitiness, and the show that comes with the drinks make it even more enjoyable! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was so motivated and kind. I give this spot 3 stars because they have a good variety of vegan options, but the service is not good and the portions aren't great. It's a cool vibe for brunch and cute decorations. The booths you sit in are being held together by duck tape, which I usually wouldn't mind, but it seems like every booth is like this. Has anyone noticed since they changed mgmt the menu, food and service really tanks? This was my weekly go to place! We'd start with Brussels sprouts (taken off menu) and pesto power bowl which was incredibly delicious. Last night instead of our fav Brussels sprouts we had spring rolls with a sauce so spicy and awful I could not eat it. The ingredients for the pesto bowl also changed. Instead of fusilli they used spaghetti, much less and to compensate, more beans, peppers and useless ingredients. Also could barely taste the pesto. Service at the bar which we thought would be better was sub par. Instead of bringing the starter of spring rolls first as we asked, the server brought everything together. No water refills, no checking how good is, do we want anything else? As one of the few vegan restaurants this used to be a staple. Now this is permanently off my list. Went and had four $18 frozen dumplings, some onion rings smothered in so much oil all you could taste was fryer and a 'grilled' gem lettuce salad that was covered in the most cloying sweet and sour sauce I've ever tasted. Sure it was gluten free and that's great but the food was awful. Instead of paying for their $30 burger filled with smegma cheese, go to any other restaurant and get a better burger for cheaper .
