Enjoy overlooking the bustle in the kitchen

Beginning with the cauliflower appetizer which has an amazing Thai peanut sauce, to the beef short ribs, the food was perfectly prepared and beautifully served. The portion size was perfect even allowing for a box to take home for enjoyment. Selection of seating is great with intimate table seating or if you prefer a spot at the high tops or counter overlooking the kitchen. The servers are always attentive and willing to make food selection based on their experience. Always love dining here.

Here's what Thyme did well: They sure know how to present a plate. Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable. I appreciated the variety on the menu. The location? Adorable! What they could have done better: Though the food combinations sounded delightful the flavor wasn't fully there. My pasta dish with burrata fell flat. We had to wait a long time before our dishes came out. Would I go back? I'd definitely give it another shot and try something else on the menu!

Thyme has a modern vibe, feels cozy, and the menu is the perfect size offering creative vegetarian, seafood, poultry and beef entrees. There's a small bar with seating for 4, a smallish sized dining room, outdoor seating and a neighboring wine bar (Twelve Eleven), which is a chic spot for meet ups and wine tasting. No reservations accepted and this is a very popular spot, so arrive early. Would definitely recommend for a delicious meal and casual chic vibe!

This was probably our 3rd time eating dinner at Thyme. The first time we went and remembered the Whitefish corn chowder being so good so we tried it again, however it was good but not great this time. Nothing is included with the entrees, so you are paying separately for soup or salad, what is inexcusable is no bread service is offered, if you pay $38 for an entree a piece or two or a small roll should be included. I had the Grouper special it was solid, my off had the baked Salmon with lingonberry sauce, which overpowered the Salmon which was not that great of quality. Service was prompt and the place has a nice atmosphere. The food should be better for the $ they are charging, and they should at least offer a bread service. 3.5 for food, 3 for value, 4 for service and ambience.

It's our favorite restaurant in Door County! 45 minute wait for a table but you get to wait at the wine place next door. Nothing wrong with that! Dinner never disappoints. Indoor and outdoor seating, casual upscale vibe. Can't say enough good things about it, and service is always excellent. Please don't tell anyone else about it...

Amazing place ... a wonderful, modern restaurant; bar that offers sandwiches and small bites, and outdoor seating areas. I have been wanting to go here every time I've passed it and finally did - not to be disappointed! I had the most wonderful salad with perfectly cut julienne pear sticks, door county cherries and pecans, and linguine with sun-dried tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. My friend had sushi and an Asian vegetarian dish. We of course had to share a dessert. Note that the restaurant does not take reservations and the restaurant is not that big. After dinner, we sat outside on Adirondack chairs in front of the fire pit and listened to a live music, then went for a stroll in the garden. I do not give 5 star reviews lightly - but this place totally deserved it and I cannot wait to go back! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Love the dog friendly outdoor seating and ambiance! A little more upscale food and drink options but still at a decent price and still casual. A "nice" night out with doggie. The wine bar outdoor seating area looked really fun too.

Open for breakfast, so we gave it a try. Jessica, server, was excellent. Very attentive and had a great attitude. It was actually difficult to pick out a dish, so many great offerings. The cook on the dish was just right. Plated well and seasoned perfectly. Glad we gave it a try and will be back to try some of the other offerings.

Packed into this little restaurant is an artisan storefront, a gelato window, a bakery, and a sandwich place. Wanting to try a little bit of everything, we got their cheese charcuterie and an Italian grinder sandwich to share for 2. Stellar, all of it. There was a great variety of cheeses on the board, including a truffle cheese and some kind of herbed goat cheese (which were my favorites), plus a mini brie and a blue cheese (boy's favorites). The board came with a bag of fresh baked focaccia slices on the side to spread the cheese/jams on and it was soooo good. The sandwich had toasty, melted cheese on the roll plus a seasoned tomato/lettuce situation that tied together all the meats so well. Definitely a napkin-heavy meal. They have a water station inside to grab cups, and carry-out bags/containers by request. Theres seating outside only that wraps around the building. Half of it was shaded. We actually left to walk around and came back for the gelato. They were actively putting out new flavors as we watched, so if you are waiting for one in particular just ask! You can split any size between two flavors, so i did chocolate and strawberry sorbet, boy did chocolate and cherry. I loved his cherry, it was so fresh and tart. The chocolate was rich and fit super well with the fruit flavors. They let you taste beforehand too, and the cranberry was also a hit for me! I both wish this was open closer to me and grateful that it's far away. Id be spending a lot more money here if it was nearby. DEFINITELY give them a try!!!

All that to say, the sandwiches are yummy. Both David and I liked the Hot Honey sandwich most. It was incredibly flavorful with some nice heat to it. The goat cheese was delicious and added a nice creaminess to the sandwich. The Turkey Brie was fine but would skip next time. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor of the turkey and David didn't like the jam on it. The sandwiches were very filling and loaded perfectly with ingredients.

I chose to sit inside and was lucky enough to gave a seat at the window looking into the beautiful garden. There was an early bird special with $5 cocktail, and $35 three course meal! So I arrived at 5:25 to take advantage of this deal. The old fashioned was enormous and strong. A bit sweet and heavily iced. The appetizer salad was beautifully constructed with crunchy, wonderfully fresh veggies. And a ranch that was delicious (I don't usually love ranch). My entree was the chicken katsu which was huge and so crispy with a a sweet lovely sauce drizzled over it. And the cherry pie for dessert was the perfect ending. Even though I was stuffed, it was the perfect slice of cherry pie. A buttery, flaky crust balanced with the tart cherries.

While you're waiting, enjoy the Swedish delights in the gift shop, the enormous green lawn space and seating, walk around Sister Bay and of course admire the goats on the roof! Once you are in, enjoy the food, I'm never disappointed. Personally, I have to order the Swedish meatballs and Swedish pancakes combo every time to get a little bit of sweet and a little bit of savory and a full plate of delicious. I think it might be a little easier to get in for dinner and they have a great outdoor space for drinks, bites, and live music in the evenings! This is really a Sister Bay and Door County MUST stop.
