I came here a while back with my friends and after following Tiagos Tacos on instagram for such a long time we decided to finally give it a try. I will like to say that this place is BIG on portions, my plate alone fed 3 other people. Each of us all ordered the birria taco trio and a rice bowl. The wait time was a little ridiculous since the place was empty when we got there and still had to wait a while. I thought it would all be worth it since the food looked soooooooooooo good, I was sad to be disappointed as I started eating it. We all felt like it lacked in flavor despite the abundance of things the bowl had. The pictures you see on Instagram are deceiving, Extremely disappointed. Went out of my way to drive here just to eat some disappointing tacos. The tacos were cold, meat barely had flavor. If you are looking for a real taco spot this is NOT the place! Pictures are deceiving just like commercials you see everyday on tv and when you get there is not what you expect. Only given one star because i cant write a review with no stars! Overall experience was meh! Wait time 15 minutes turns into like 30-40 instead, place wasnt even packed at all. Food def not mexican. i ordered a taco trio of "Al Pastor" what i was given a beef taco (meat was not even the alpastor color) with massive amounts of cilantro (mind you i love cilantro) onion was aggressively large and cold pineapple chunks. The fiesta nachos, please be warned there is no cheese on it whatsoever, again aggressively chopped onions and tomatoes and to my surprise pinapples again. Asked for a steak quesadilla another big disappointment steak look more like ground beef and the taste of grease was overwhelming. Menu doesnt really explain much of the food and staff is very overwhelmed. Frozen margaritas lookd pretty good butnim not a margarita person. For reference I had the taco trio with chicken,steak, and chorizo, each more disappointing than the last. I was so excited to try this place out and I was let down. There birria tacos were delicious I'll give them that, very well seasoned and greasy. With that being said, we also ordered chicken and carne tacos, those were horrible. The meat was cold and when we asked them if they could reheat them they just threw them away and gave us new ones. If I would've known they were going to throw them away I would've never asked them to reheat it. The cherry on top though, is our food took 35 minutes to come out and we were the only people there. This is my second time at the FIU location . The first wasnt bad but the second visit was less than awesome. My crunch wrap was luke warm in temperature and the added on items were not included in my dish. In my party, we paid for rice /beans and guacamole which are extras and did not receive these items. This place is great! The Crunchwrap is my ultimate favorite, so many flavors & very juicy. Their sauce are very delicious as well. Highly recommend trying them if you're in the mood for some Mexican food! Also recommend trying their nachos as their guacamole is very tasty. I've been here two times and plan to go back very soon. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is amazing. Both times I've gone to this location my order is taken promptly with little to no wait, the seating area is always clean and neat. Trust me when I say calories are worth it! The tacos here are a decent size for what they cost (tacos went up lately lest everyone honest) but it's huge plus Uber eats does a trio box so you get 6 for the price of 1. Better then the ones at taco stand (wynwood)so you can have some type of comparison. I think a little more suave on the actual taco could help and try to get salsa on the side. They do not follow your dietary restrictions & take extremely long to prepare food, Waited 1h30min for my food & I received it all wrong. Everything has a WEIRD sweet taste and it was not appealing at all. Tortilla was soggy & broken before i even grabbed it. N the nachos were so stiff not crunchy just STIFF they put so much pineapple and raw big chucks of onion on everything it overpowered the taste of everything.
