    Carnitas Taco and shrimp taco
    K L.

We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday. Only a few people when we arrived around 11:30 but it was full (rather small dining area) by noon. We were greeted and our order taken promptly. Started with some guacamole and chips. It was fresh and really good. They have a salsa bar with five different salsa. For those who love hot, the habanero was fantastic. I had a shrimp taco on flour tortillas and a carnitas taco. You can choose your style such as traditional American or street. I picked street style for both. Both tacos were tasty with good portions. My wife had a carne asada taco and a small order of nachos also with carne asada. She loved it all. We enjoyed everything and plan on returning soon.

Located in one of the many strip mall buildings in Turkey Creek, it is as easy to find as any other place there. Parking is tight, as it is for every business in the area. We were able to find a space very near the front door. I didn't specifically notice a handicapped space, but that is not under control of the business. Walking in, the dining area is bright and open. There is a mix of tables with seats along the wall. You can also sit at the front window. The menu is above the counter in the rear of the dining area. It is well designed and easy to navigate. There is also a salsa bar to the left as you come in with a selection of salsa options. Our food took maybe 10 minutes after we ordered. The street tacos (asada and carnitas) were very good. Adding the mild or hot salsa from the bar really made the flavors pop. The tacos were decent size for the price and the fillings were fresh plentiful. The Paco's Nachos were also very good. The chips were crisp and warm and the toppings were hot, fresh, and plentiful as well. Overall, Tia's is a great choice for a quick lunch. They have an excellent menu selection and the salsa bar is an added bonus. This is definitely worth a stop.

Loved Tia's Tacos! Authentic flavors and excellent salsa. I'd definitely recommend them.

Wow! This place knows how to make a street taco! Fresh corn tortillas and no scrimping on meats made to perfection! Cilantro and onions or go American with cheese and sour cream if you choose (I chose the former). Salsas are made in house and the best we've had in the south. If you like a West Coast, L.A., Baja style experience this is it! Love the South but hadn't found a taco this good since California! Yum!!

Having lived many years in Southern California I've had some of the most authentic Mexican street food available. Who knew that Knoxville would have a place like Paco's Taco's that rivals the best of the best? The soft corn tortillas are hand made and are some of the best I've ever had. They're soft, don't crack and spill half the filling in your lap and are delicious! I could eat them by themselves! Was able to make the Flacos Burrito (already vegan) gluten free by turning it into a bowl. I like that instead of "rice & beans" it was rice and potatoes with spinach, corn and avocado. Nice touch. Also had the Nopales (cactus) and Championes (mushroom) tacos. Both were really flavorful. You can get them either traditional with onion and cilantro or American with lettuce, tomato and cheese. The American method would, obviously, not be vegan, and isn't how I'd choose to eat a taco anyway! The service was efficient and the food came out fast! It's a walk up and order at the counter and get a number kind of place which helps for a speedy meal. Don't forget to check out the salsa bar, the blended jalapeño is my favorite.

A true hidden gem. I usually stay in the Tri hotels and one was just a short distance away. Always in need of good Mexican I gave this place a shot. I had 2 fish tacos, 2 carne Asada tacos and 2 El Pastor tacos. As well a serving of their house made guacamole. Everything was just as it should be. They were out of cane it's but I left satisfied! The salsa bar is always a good thing and this one had the full range including a guacamole salsa which was great! The only thing I could possibly complain about would be the fool drivers not being able to park between the lines. See first picture. I'll definitely be back whe I stay in this local hotel again!!

The tortillas alone are reason to give Paco's a visit, but the rest of the food from the meat to the condiments are excellent. Service is friendly and quick. Highly recommend! We most enjoyed the chorizo and al pastor tacos.

So much hype. SO worthy of said hype! Stopped in with empty stomachs and an absurd amount of taco enthusiasm. This small shop is located next to Noodles and Co. in Turkey Creek and has a clean and modern interior with plenty of seating, a salsa bar, and a counter that you order and pay from. Once food is done, they bring it to your table. Owner, Luis, was behind the counter and greeted us warmly and walked us through his favorites. He quickly pointed us to the pastor (grilled, marinated, pork tenderloin) dishes. Ummm... yes. Great recommendation. There are also several kinds of drinks, including Jarritos Mexican sodas, horchata, margaritas, and fresh juices. We ordered a pastor taco, a pescado (grilled mahi-mahi) taco, pastor burrito, chips and queso, and street corn. It was all incredible, especially paired with the five salsas. We especially liked the house salsa and the verde/green salsa. The tacos and burrito are all highly-customizable. You can get them with lettuce, tomato, cheese or with onion and queso fresco. Other toppings to add on as well. Definitely opt to get the homemade corn tortillas instead of flour. Wow. The street corn had the perfect amount of lime and cheese to make it pop without an overpowering creaminess that some places add with mayo. We will definitely get pastor dishes again and will try the carnitas and carne asada next time, too. Great service and great food. I hope they are around for a very long time.

The ordering counter, you can easily read the menu and pick your drinks, beer and margaritas are available.

Paco's Tacos is your place for authentic Mexican food! Their food is made fresh as soon as you order whether take out or dine-in. Their choice for meats is very good and they have a vegetarian breakfast burrito. The staff is courteous and the place is always clean. They have a good variety of homemade sauces and Mexican drinks. All in all I highly recommend Paco's Tacos for lunch or dinner!

The shrimp street taco, carnitas street taco & margarita were all so good! They also have a salsa bar. And the woman who took my order was so friendly. First time trying & will definitely be back :)

First, I thought I had reviewed them already-- so if I do two, that's why…read more I'm giving this 5 stars relating it to other SIMILAR places-- that is, Mexican restaurants within a grocery store--- i.e. more limited menu (although their's is pretty broad), not full bar-service (but they have beer), and not fancy. For what it is-- it is really scrumptious. I had a few tacos, a ceviche tostada and a beer. BIG lunch-- I took one taco home. All the items were really chock-ful of meat. The carnitas on that taco was way too much to be able to pick up the taco with it all inside. They had a good mix of onions and cilantro on them, although I'd have preferred to add my own (I LOVE cilantro). I wish it was nearer; I'd go back often.

The salsa and chips--- First bite tasted like tomato paste to me, very tangy and had a kick of spice. Chips were warm. No Guacamole!!!! What Mexican place has no guac? Chimichanga de pollo-- Shredded chicken with some onions, peppers and covered in cheese sauce. Fajitas mixta-- Steak was a little tough and chicken was very thin slices. Lacked some spices. More onions, green peppers and tomatoes than meat. It wasn't bad, but for our taste we have had better. The whole meal lacked spices. Would we recommend? Yes, give it a try, you might like it. Salsa is good but it's too tomato pastey for us.
