This place has huge selections of wine, cocktails, beer, and cougars lol. The vibe is chill and good for large parties or date nights. The bar is fun to watch some games. It's attached to Tiburon Tavern, so if you're staying for the night or a little staycation, this is the go-to place. They also gave a great happy hour and a good selection of entrees. The New York steak is super juicy with chimichurri sauce and broccolini served with blue cheese fries; no blue cheese for me though. It was Valentine's Day 2026. We had a room reserved at the Tiburon Lodge and I didn't know they had the Tiburon Tavern inside the lodge. We had reservations at a French restaurant down the street that was supposed to be a three course meal, but it was very crowded so Tiburon Tavern made room for us. We were so delighted at the ambience and how spread apart the tables were compared to the French restaurant down the road. My family decided to try out a new breakfast/brunch place and picked this one. This place is big with both inside and patio seating. We were approached and seated at a table for four inside. We were given a brunch menu as it was still a little early to serve lunch and a bit late for breakfast. I have skimmed through their menu beforehand so I knew what I was getting. We ordered crabmeat eggs Benedict, ham and cheese omelet and corned beef hash and eggs. Their crabmeat Benedict was delicious and the poached eggs were runny just the way I like it. They use fresh crabmeat and it was plentiful. Corned beef and eggs was nothing to really rave about as it was how it should be, corned beef with eggs cooked your way. When it was time to order the omelet, the server insisted they don't have omelet on their menu. We have to point it out to her that it was clear as day that it is actually on the menu (peep the picture of the menu I will post on their page). With that squared away. The food is okay and on a pricey side. The place can accommodate large amount of people with their many seatings. They do keep checking in on us and see if everything was OK and refills our coffee. But I didn't get a friendly vibe from the start though (nobody welcomed us, just asked how many and was taken to our seats) until we were done with our food given that we were the only ones here in the place that day. The food here is good, and the menu even offers up lobster and chicken and waffles. Their lunch and dinner menu also looks excellent, though we did not get to try this time. 1. Wife loved the steel-cut oatmeal and yogurt parfaits - sweet, filling, and healthy. 2. I opted for the hot breakfast entrees, with my favorites being the sausage and brie omelet, chicken and waffles, and classic American breakfast combo with scrambled eggs. The only ding is the hash browns tended to be more soft and fluffy and not crispy enough. Fried chicken was excellent however - hot and crispy outside and juicy inside. 3. Welcoming ambiance with wood decor everywhere, and gotta love their background music from the 80's/90's which should automatically deserve +1 star. This restaurant has the potential to be great. The ambiance is, simply put, drowsy. The service was minimal, if they don't frequently have a full staff during popular hours perhaps they should prepare better for that. We had a reservation walking to the door and it's as if they didn't care. We kept getting told 10 more minutes in which we reluctantly kept staying. The famous seafood restaurant "Sam's" is right down the road and with it always being over an hour wait Tiburon Tavern becomes a number 2. I have been a few times for drinks, dessert and dinner but I found the food pretty meh in the past, but now that the kitchen is run by the same chef as Luna Blu, the food is actually worth it! I most recently went for dinner with a friend. We shared the spinach salad which was absolutely delicious. They split it for us which was very nice. Then I ordered the chicken parmesan and my friend got the pot roast. The chicken parmesan was pretty good, but the sauce was not my favorite. I couldn't tell if it was trying to be a vodka sauce or a marinara sauce, but the chicken was really excellent. I had a bit of my friend's pot roast and would definitely recommend it. The restaurant has a great wine selection, and an open bar so they can make just about anything! Tiburon is a funky little city. We arrived just around 3pm after hiking at mount tam. Most of the restaurants are closed from 2:30-5 for the close out of lunch service to dinner service. That made pickings slightly slim compared to another time when all would be open. We finally landed on Tiburon Tavern after wandering around. It was quiet and service just a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry so that's ok. We ordered a couple drinks and shared the platter which was plenty for us and even had leftover. Generous portion. Drinks were OK not great. We each got a valentines special drink; I got the First Date and my guy the Burning Love. My drink was a twist on the French 75, it wasn't balanced though. Quite bitter almost so no desire for another once it was complete. I think it's a solid spot in the midst of a lot of upscale places to choose from. Let's start with dinner: the crab cakes were awesome with a fantastic sauce, right size, one each for me and the Hubby, the Hawaiian pinsa [pizza] I thought look like any other pizza but holy moley, that crust was no ordinary pizza crust, it was like eating a thin focaccia bread, crunchy, light and oh so delicious. It also had plenty of outdoor seating so it was a check out must! We were seated immediately but our server never came by. ZUCCHINI BLOSSOMS - $18 Fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with mozzarella cheese and served with garlic marinara dipping sauce. This was not what I had expected. I was expected something lightly battered similar to tempura. This blossoms where heavily battered and deep fried and I tasted mostly dough. I found it odd that it came with marinara sauce but again, just not what I'm used to having when ordering zucchini blossoms. PEAR 7 GORGONZOLA PIZZA - $28 Pear and Gorgonzola cheese with Caramelized Onions. It tastes better than it looks! The crust was amazing and so were the toppings. I enjoyed it very much! SEASONAL APPLE PIE - $11 Sweet and delicious homemade apple pie served with vanilla bean gelato. Honestly I wish the scoop of gelato was bigger, but maybe its for the best. I thought the tuna could have been a better cut as I did get some pieces that were tough to eat. The fish with tropical salsa was ok. This place has such a beautiful outdoor seating area, especially at night with all the outdoor heaters flaming like huge burning candles... very cute spot for a date night! I ordered the mushroom fettuccine and it was so delicious! The mushrooms tasted very fresh and earthy, was a great balance with the slightly sweet and creamy pasta sauce. The portions are also a good size, I was satiated after our delicious dinner. We also ordered truffle fries which were one of the best truffle cheese fries I've had. The fries had a great cut, not too thin or thick, and cooked perfectly. I could actually taste the truffle, and they were served with a garlicky mix of herbs that gave the fries a great overall flavor. Ate here for Thanksgiving (set menu). My family and I loved their Honey Nut Squash and Pumpkin Soup. The salad was nice, but could have used more persimmons. For the main course we had the halibut with black rice. The white wine saffron sauce is what made this dish stand out. The ambiance here was lovely. I would come back again. I wanted to like this place, but the service was agonizingly slow. We had a party of seven with a reservation for 12:30 on a Sunday. They have a great outdoor patio with plenty of seating, which was great for a sunny afternoon. Our drink orders came out pretty fast, as well as the kids Mac n'cheese. After that, we had to wait at least 45 minutes from the time we placed our order until they actually brought our food out. We should've known something was amiss when we asked for more water after they took our food orders, and after waiting for ten minutes, had to ask twice more before they finally brought out more water. About 15 minutes after we placed our order, they brought out syrup, which was odd because nobody at our table ordered anything that would need syrup (my guess is that they confused our table with another). About 20 minutes after we placed our order, one of us asked the waiter how much longer until our food came out, and he replied, "Just another few minutes - about 15-20 minutes." Call me crazy, but 15-20 minutes is well more than a few. After it had been 40 minutes after we placed our order, we finally talked with the manager. She apologized for the delay (apparently, there was a party in the back, and they seemed understaffed and disorganized). Our food finally came out about 5-10 minutes later. I ordered the seared ahi tuna sandwich, which was actually quite good. The fries, however, were not hot, which was a disappointment after waiting this long for our food. I asked the waiter for ketchup when he brought my food, but it took him over five minutes to bring it out. Since I was pretty hungry after the wait, I was already half finished with my fries by this time. In addition, another member of our party ordered the all American breakfast, but they didn't bring out his toast until 10 minutes after the rest of his food. One would think that 45 minutes should be enough time to prepare toast - it was clear this place was having an off day. I get it that running a restaurant is difficult and that large parties or staff not showing up can throw things off, but when these situations occur, the right approach is to let diners know upfront about the delays and give them estimates where possible, and also to sincerely apologize and offer significant discounts if they want diners to come back. The manager did comp our drinks and the kids meal, but I felt like the entire meal should have been free or at least half off given how bad the service was. read more

Oh wait, but you're wanting to know about the food though? Not good and not worth the price unfortunately. The rundown: Salmon Salad (x2) - The salmon was very dry to a point my friends laughed because it looked like chicken. It did have an interesting flavor to it, although I think the pear sauce is the saving grace. Not worth $29 if you ask me though. My friend ordered the same thing but hers filet looked better than mine haha. Steak Tacos - A friend was told by a waitress that their steak tacos were huuuuuge and that two will fill you up. So you're probably wondering, "well Shannen, most of the things are practically good, why 2 stars?!" Well I'll tell you why.... My last friend ordered the tavern burger with an impossible patty. When he got his burger, all he received was the bun and the patty. So he asked our waitress, where's all the lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, mayo and mustard? Her reply? Oh, well people who order the impossible patty don't want any of the other stuff. He replied, well... it does come with it right? I didn't ask for it to be removed... she left, went to the kitchen, and came back with the rest of his burger lol.
