Large portions, friendly service, and flavorful food! I wasn't sure what to expect from this place at first because it wasn't super busy, but it was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed these dishes: * Tavern Burger: they're known for this burger! * French Onion Soup: REALLY delicious, creamy, and balanced * Crab Cakes: blue crab cakes with homemade beet aioli * Truffle fries: worth it and the fries were huge :) * Vegan Buddha Bowl: the homemade zesty citrus sauce was divine Best bang for your buck here. They're decently priced for the amount of food that they give.

Hands down the best French toast I've ever had in my entire life.!

It was Valentine's Day 2026. We had a room reserved at the Tiburon Lodge and I didn't know they had the Tiburon Tavern inside the lodge. We had reservations at a French restaurant down the street that was supposed to be a three course meal, but it was very crowded so Tiburon Tavern made room for us. We were so delighted at the ambience and how spread apart the tables were compared to the French restaurant down the road. The meal was a 10 out of 10, and I would recommend it to anyone in the future!

We had a great dinner and sat outside. The food was delicious and hot and our server was very attentive and helpful. We had the Tavern burger. It was cooked perfectly.

My family decided to try out a new breakfast/brunch place and picked this one. This place is big with both inside and patio seating. We were approached and seated at a table for four inside. We were given a brunch menu as it was still a little early to serve lunch and a bit late for breakfast. I have skimmed through their menu beforehand so I knew what I was getting. We ordered crabmeat eggs Benedict, ham and cheese omelet and corned beef hash and eggs. Their crabmeat Benedict was delicious and the poached eggs were runny just the way I like it. They use fresh crabmeat and it was plentiful. Corned beef and eggs was nothing to really rave about as it was how it should be, corned beef with eggs cooked your way. When it was time to order the omelet, the server insisted they don't have omelet on their menu. We have to point it out to her that it was clear as day that it is actually on the menu (peep the picture of the menu I will post on their page). With that squared away. The food is okay and on a pricey side. The place can accommodate large amount of people with their many seatings. They do keep checking in on us and see if everything was OK and refills our coffee. But I didn't get a friendly vibe from the start though (nobody welcomed us, just asked how many and was taken to our seats) until we were done with our food given that we were the only ones here in the place that day. They handed us our bill, we paid and that was it. No goodbyes, no come again soon. We just parted ways.

Tiburon Tavern is a standalone restaurant that is connected to The Lodge motel, and also serves as the main breakfast place. The food here is good, and the menu even offers up lobster and chicken and waffles. Their lunch and dinner menu also looks excellent, though we did not get to try this time. 1. Wife loved the steel-cut oatmeal and yogurt parfaits - sweet, filling, and healthy. 2. I opted for the hot breakfast entrees, with my favorites being the sausage and brie omelet, chicken and waffles, and classic American breakfast combo with scrambled eggs. The only ding is the hash browns tended to be more soft and fluffy and not crispy enough. Fried chicken was excellent however - hot and crispy outside and juicy inside. 3. Welcoming ambiance with wood decor everywhere, and gotta love their background music from the 80's/90's which should automatically deserve +1 star. I remember we had good times back in the day, where kids played and socialized together and not stare at phones all day. But I digress...

Lobster hash: delicious. Lots pieces of lobster, nice hollandaise, soft cubed potatoes, and brioche toast. 4.5 stars

Casual restaurant attached to the hotel we enjoyed brunch and happy hour at. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Cost to worth it rating: 3 (most entrees $20 or low $30) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: sure Highlights: - Lobster hash: wasn't expecting much, but it was quite delicious. Lots pieces of lobster, nice not too heavy yet smooth hollandaise, soft cubed potatoes, and brioche toast points. 4.5 stars - Crabcake benedict: savory crabcake with good texture and crispy English muffin which added to the dish instead of just being the vehicle. 4 stars - Chicken and waffles: real fried chicken pieces with crispy skin--not tenders like some try to get away with. 2 triangles of belgian waffle with whipped cream. 3.5 stars - Bubbly options: had a decent amount by the glass, few half bottles, and bottles - Patio: was able to sit outside in front with umbrellas - Happy hour: every day from 3-6 so includes weekend and drinks for $8 which is a real discount Midlights: - HH sliders: for $12 only came with 2 and no fries Lowlights: - Location: on the main street all cars drive through so not much of a view - Drinks took a while to arrive Better than I expected and enjoyed our brunch.

I love the fact that it's adjacent to the hotel since we were staying there. We decided to do dinner here, I got the New York steak with mashed potatoes. The meat was soft, flavorful, the mashed potatoes seemed boxy but not sure, they were good but not sure if they are instant or actually made there. We sat outside and enjoyed the brisk weather. The main waiter wasn't as polite as the second server who brought us the outside heater. Drinks were nice and strong.

5/5 carlos was a great bartender and the staff was so accommodating to our staff party. thank you so much for everything you did for us we absolutely loved it and had a wonderful time.

Tiburon Tavern is cozy and polished. I had a drink Aperol Spritz. If you walk around maybe to go to the bathroom, there's an area with couch and fake fireplace. Some historical pieces and items. Tiburon is homey like Napa and North Bay is nice to visit. Old time old town. The spirit is good.

Sometimes just to sit at the bar and have a nice exquisite craft cocktail is a complete joy. With a price that's not out of line in comparison to the region. Check out the private dining area which can be shut off and secluded which is great for meetings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, or graduation events. Oh, and let's not forget the succulent desserts. Be sure to take a stroll before or after dinner, and check out the captivating retailers at this charming shopping area known as the Marin Country Mart. There are even freestanding retailers in the various parking areas. Most assuredly, a good place to spend an afternoon or evening. ***Please note that I'm in two areas frequently southern California and Northern California. So I post my favorites in both spots.

As everyone knows, we're foodies, and we thought that coming to Gary Danko would be a very special memorable meal here in the city, and while there were certainly positive moments of our two hour dinner, overall, I would not return. We arrived a bit early for our 6pm reservation, and we were seated promptly at a deuce in the side, dimly lit dining room. The decor was all mirrors and dark abstract paintings - heavy, and a tad depressing. My mom sat in the booth and I took the chair. I could see my mom, and a door to the street that was diagonally to my left, and it was a bit off-putting because at one point a pedestrian used the door as a mirror, and she was picking her teeth. A curtain to shield this vestibule from the dining area would be a welcome addition. Additionally, GD's flowers are lovely, and I appreciate the attention to detail there, but the extremely tall arrangement next to our table was all vase and the pretty flower arrangement was so close to the ceiling that all I could see was water unless I craned my neck upwards to peer at the blooms. Anyway, the dining experience commenced as soon as we sat down, when the spring pea gazpacho amuse bouche was brought to the table. It was refreshing, but nothing overwhelming. It really felt rushed, and this too, set the tenor for the evening. Despite my reservations, we took a few minutes to peruse the menu, and then decided on the four course option. I ordered: Glazed Oysters - Deliciously buttery, extremely buttery - in fact, butter is the primary ingredient in the majority of the dishes. If you don't like butter, don't come here! Lobster Risotto -tasty & generous portion-size Roast Maine Lobster - Also buttery, I did not need the shells to be on the plate as they did not add anything to the dish, and instead got in the way of enjoying the buttery potato puree. Shells are not a garnish. Chocolate Souffle - with dark chocolate and vanilla sauce - I wanted top layer to be a little crispier, and it was a little too soupy - it needed more time in the oven. Mom ordered: Tuna Carpaccio - Fresh and simple - her favorite dish. Scallops - Too salty and there were only two scallops, disappointing. Duck - Very salty, unattractive plate - Duck was prepared well but the crust it was smothered in took away the fine flavor of the duck itself. She could not finish the sides due to the saltiness. I told one of the servers about this, and nothing was done. No apology, nada. Chocolate Souffle - Same notes as me, too soupy and crust not crisp enough. We each had a glass of Prosecco to accompany the meal, and it was fine. Gill was our lead server and he did a good job of taking care of us. Overall, the service was very good, and I do want to recognize the folks working on the floor for their attentiveness. My bread plate and water glass were always full, and I appreciate that I did not want for anything while in this restaurant. Gill even showed me the way to the ladies room, and opened the door for me, which was a first. The little pastries that were given to us after the souffle were cute, but we had no room for them, so we had to have them boxed. We also appreciated the little pineapple cream cakes that were given to us as a parting gift. I really had high hopes for this restaurant, but upon reflection, Gary Danko did not deliver the experience that I expected from an establishment with this price point. I have had absolutely perfect meals before at places like 11 Madison Park, Gramercy Tavern, Le Cirque, and the former La Grenouille in NYC, and the Ritz in Paris among others, where attention is paid to absolutely very detail of the dining experience from start to finish and even beyond. I guess I should have known better to come here when they lost their Michelin star, but again, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will not make this mistake again.
