Food was delicious! Seemed like the young lady who sat us did not want to attend us. Not sure if it had anything to do with the fact that we are Latino. The bartender came over to take our order instead after 15 minutes of us being seated. We sat inside but there seemed to be live music in the front patio. Still our favorite place to dine on a weekday in Tiburon. Raul is amazing - the entire crew at Tiburon Tavern is attentive and friendly! This place has huge selections of wine, cocktails, beer, and cougars lol. The vibe is chill and good for large parties or date nights. The bar is fun to watch some games. It's attached to Tiburon Tavern, so if you're staying for the night or a little staycation, this is the go-to place. They also gave a great happy hour and a good selection of entrees. The New York steak is super juicy with chimichurri sauce and broccolini served with blue cheese fries; no blue cheese for me though. One star. This was one of the most disappointing breakfast experiences I've had in a long time. The restaurant was mostly empty, yet service was unbelievably slow from start to finish. We had a table of seven, and somehow our food came out in three separate waves. The first three meals arrived, then about ten minutes later three more plates showed up, except some of those orders were wrong. Another ten minutes after that, the child at our table finally got her chicken nuggets. By then everyone else was either finished eating or had food getting cold while waiting. The food itself didn't make up for the wait. Several dishes were bland and under-seasoned. The avocado toast came on bread that was barely toasted at all. To make matters worse, the scrambled egg add-on for the avocado toast cost $9 and turned out to be a single scrambled egg. That's hard to justify anywhere, especially at breakfast. The final bill for seven people was around $300, which would be easier to accept if the food and service were exceptional. Instead, it was overpriced, underwhelming, and incredibly slow. Unfortunately, there was nothing about this experience that would make me want to come back. read more

It was Valentine's Day 2026. We had a room reserved at the Tiburon Lodge and I didn't know they had the Tiburon Tavern inside the lodge. We had reservations at a French restaurant down the street that was supposed to be a three course meal, but it was very crowded so Tiburon Tavern made room for us. We were so delighted at the ambience and how spread apart the tables were compared to the French restaurant down the road. We had an overnight stay at the Tiburon Lodge and walked the town. We could have dropped in the standard Sam's cafe but decided to give the Tavern a try. Great choice, we were not too hungry so we had Happy Hour goodies and drinks. Service was quick and spot on. The bar had plenty of tables and of course the bar which probably holds 15 customers. It is not my practice to give negative restaurant reviews. I know how difficult it can be to keep a business going in this econony. However, in this case, I cannot think of a worst experience I have had in any restaurant anywhere and I feel it's my duty as a citizen to warn others. Granted, it was a holiday. Granted the restaurant was visibly understaffed. All that aside.... We were seated outside as requested in our reservation. The table was not set, table settings never arrived. It was very cold outside, we requested three times, three different workers, if we could have a heater moved to our area. Finally a kind, overworked waiter moved a heater to us. Our party of four waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. My husband finally went in search of a waiter who soon took our order. We would have left during the long wait but we knew every restaurant in town was booked and were hoping to finish in time for fireworks. Unfortunately the food did arrive in a timely manner. I say unfortunately because the food was barely edible. But before we could dig into the nightmarish feast, my husband again had to go inside in search of table settings. The tavern burger, ordered medium rare was basically raw. The pinso (pizza?) was soggy and tasteless. The chicken satay was coated in what tasted like French's mustard. There were other items ordered, I didn't taste them but none of them looked appetizing. We wanted to make 9:30 fireworks so paid and left. We would have left no tip but for the obvious fact that the issue is management, not waiter related. I have felt mildly ill since we left. Save your money. In comparison, on 5/16/27 our party of 7 adults and 1 child went to the Buckeye Roadhouse in Mill Valley. we ordered 7 drinks, 4 appetizers, 2 bottles of wine a 5 desserts. My family decided to try out a new breakfast/brunch place and picked this one. This place is big with both inside and patio seating. We were approached and seated at a table for four inside. We were given a brunch menu as it was still a little early to serve lunch and a bit late for breakfast. I have skimmed through their menu beforehand so I knew what I was getting. We ordered crabmeat eggs Benedict, ham and cheese omelet and corned beef hash and eggs. Their crabmeat Benedict was delicious and the poached eggs were runny just the way I like it. They use fresh crabmeat and it was plentiful. Corned beef and eggs was nothing to really rave about as it was how it should be, corned beef with eggs cooked your way. When it was time to order the omelet, the server insisted they don't have omelet on their menu. We have to point it out to her that it was clear as day that it is actually on the menu (peep the picture of the menu I will post on their page). With that squared away. The food is okay and on a pricey side. The place can accommodate large amount of people with their many seatings. They do keep checking in on us and see if everything was OK and refills our coffee. But I didn't get a friendly vibe from the start though (nobody welcomed us, just asked how many and was taken to our seats) until we were done with our food given that we were the only ones here in the place that day. The food here is good, and the menu even offers up lobster and chicken and waffles. Their lunch and dinner menu also looks excellent, though we did not get to try this time. 1. Wife loved the steel-cut oatmeal and yogurt parfaits - sweet, filling, and healthy. 2. I opted for the hot breakfast entrees, with my favorites being the sausage and brie omelet, chicken and waffles, and classic American breakfast combo with scrambled eggs. The only ding is the hash browns tended to be more soft and fluffy and not crispy enough. Fried chicken was excellent however - hot and crispy outside and juicy inside. 3. Welcoming ambiance with wood decor everywhere, and gotta love their background music from the 80's/90's which should automatically deserve +1 star. I love the fact that it's adjacent to the hotel since we were staying there. We decided to do dinner here, I got the New York steak with mashed potatoes. The meat was soft, flavorful, the mashed potatoes seemed boxy but not sure, they were good but not sure if they are instant or actually made there. We sat outside and enjoyed the brisk weather. This restaurant has the potential to be great. The ambiance is, simply put, drowsy. The service was minimal, if they don't frequently have a full staff during popular hours perhaps they should prepare better for that. We had a reservation walking to the door and it's as if they didn't care. We kept getting told 10 more minutes in which we reluctantly kept staying. The famous seafood restaurant "Sam's" is right down the road and with it always being over an hour wait Tiburon Tavern becomes a number 2. With that kind of traffic they should step up their game so they could eventually attempt to compete with Sam's. read more

I have been a few times for drinks, dessert and dinner but I found the food pretty meh in the past, but now that the kitchen is run by the same chef as Luna Blu, the food is actually worth it! I most recently went for dinner with a friend. We shared the spinach salad which was absolutely delicious. They split it for us which was very nice. Then I ordered the chicken parmesan and my friend got the pot roast. The chicken parmesan was pretty good, but the sauce was not my favorite. I couldn't tell if it was trying to be a vodka sauce or a marinara sauce, but the chicken was really excellent. I had a bit of my friend's pot roast and would definitely recommend it. The restaurant has a great wine selection, and an open bar so they can make just about anything! It is a little on the expensive side but the quality and portion size is pretty good, so I'd say worth it if you are in the area. read more

Tiburon is a funky little city. We arrived just around 3pm after hiking at mount tam. Most of the restaurants are closed from 2:30-5 for the close out of lunch service to dinner service. That made pickings slightly slim compared to another time when all would be open. We finally landed on Tiburon Tavern after wandering around. It was quiet and service just a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry so that's ok. We ordered a couple drinks and shared the platter which was plenty for us and even had leftover. Generous portion. Drinks were OK not great. We each got a valentines special drink; I got the First Date and my guy the Burning Love. My drink was a twist on the French 75, it wasn't balanced though. Quite bitter almost so no desire for another once it was complete. I think it's a solid spot in the midst of a lot of upscale places to choose from. It also had plenty of outdoor seating so it was a check out must! We were seated immediately but our server never came by. Here's what we had: MEXICAN COFFEE - $14 From what I remember it's coffee, coffee liqueur, tequila. It was a nice warm beverage. ZUCCHINI BLOSSOMS - $18 Fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with mozzarella cheese and served with garlic marinara dipping sauce. This was not what I had expected. I was expected something lightly battered similar to tempura. This blossoms where heavily battered and deep fried and I tasted mostly dough. I found it odd that it came with marinara sauce but again, just not what I'm used to having when ordering zucchini blossoms. PEAR 7 GORGONZOLA PIZZA - $28 Pear and Gorgonzola cheese with Caramelized Onions. It tastes better than it looks! The crust was amazing and so were the toppings. I enjoyed it very much! SEASONAL APPLE PIE - $11 Sweet and delicious homemade apple pie served with vanilla bean gelato. Honestly I wish the scoop of gelato was bigger, but maybe its for the best. Overall it was a find warm mini apple pie. No complaints but nothing extraordinary. I enjoyed my time here even though we saw our waiter once. Luckily I wasn't hungry nor was I in any rush. Absolutely loved the brunch menu at TT! We came here for brunch prior to our flight and it was the best decision. I loved the seating area and how beautiful the outdoor patio area is. The portion per plate is more than generous and the taste is spectacular. My husband ordered the brioche french toast. He loved it. I had the American plate- which truly was everything I wanted. Let's start with dinner: the crab cakes were awesome with a fantastic sauce, right size, one each for me and the Hubby, the Hawaiian pinsa [pizza] I thought look like any other pizza but holy moley, that crust was no ordinary pizza crust, it was like eating a thin focaccia bread, crunchy, light and oh so delicious. Finally checked this place out. It was a bit above standard fare. The Ahi Poke had a nice sauce and I enjoyed the seaweed. I thought the tuna could have been a better cut as I did get some pieces that were tough to eat. The fish with tropical salsa was ok. The fish didn't taste very fresh to me but the tropical salsa was beautiful with the sweetness of the fruit and acidity it was a nice topping to the fish. We visited Tiburon Tavern for breakfast, since we were conveniently staying at the hotel next door (literally connected to the restaurant). We were immediately sat at a comfortable booth near the entrance. I stuck with water and ordered the Breakfast Parfait (with no granola), a side of Gluten Free Toast, and a side of Avocado. My parents chose the Lobster Hash and Florentine Eggs Benedict. Honestly, their food looked and tasted a lot better than mine. The yogurt in the parfait was very watery and too sweet. The toast and avocado were tasty though! However the Lobster Hash and Florentine Eggs Benedict were definitely the way to go. Service was fast and our server Gerson was friendly/helpful. This place has such a beautiful outdoor seating area, especially at night with all the outdoor heaters flaming like huge burning candles... very cute spot for a date night! I ordered the mushroom fettuccine and it was so delicious! The mushrooms tasted very fresh and earthy, was a great balance with the slightly sweet and creamy pasta sauce. The portions are also a good size, I was satiated after our delicious dinner. We also ordered truffle fries which were one of the best truffle cheese fries I've had. The fries had a great cut, not too thin or thick, and cooked perfectly. I could actually taste the truffle, and they were served with a garlicky mix of herbs that gave the fries a great overall flavor. The service was impeccable, our server was very helpful and attentive... not to mention we had a few great laughs with him about inaccurately guessing his Italian accent for a Russian one, and arguing about which part of Italy, North or South, reigned supreme! ;D We will definitely be back again soon! read more
