We enjoyed a most relaxing afternoon in an remarkably serene environment, had some wonderful wines at most reasonable price points, and enjoyed Jerry's company thoroughly. He was both warm and welcoming...and his knowledge of the wine and champagne was clearly "Best in Class". We all would enthusiastically recommend a visit to Tiburon Wine. I went there to enjoy a glass of wine. A glass of wine was about half prize of a bottle. So I purchased the whole bottle instead of two glasses of wine. Guess what? $8 corkage fee was written in a small font so nobody can see it. It gave me a terrible taste. I just want to let everyone know BE CAREFUL ABOUT THEIR CORKAGE FEE. read more

Both the people working here gave us enough attitude that we didn't want to give them our money and left without ordering. No hi come on in welcome! No hi my name is what would you like? It was a terse interrogation about whether we had kids, how big was our party, etc. And we were told - not asked or invited - to sit. The employee who gave us menus only said we should buy a bottle instead of a glass. No introduction, no questions on what we liked to drink. We also saw them snap at a family who did have kids in the store about the kids being too close to the wine. I didn't give them fewer stars because their wine might actually be good. Didn't try any. After a quick straw poll among the four people in my party we agreed to go elsewhere. read more

As soon as we walked into the tasting room we had the worst customer service experience ever today going to Tiburon Wine for 5 min. First, the bartender was very pretentious, arrogant and unfriendly. We were trying to guid the bartender on our pallet and he took it very offensively treating us like a burden. We still wanted to try out a flight (hey we were trying to give the place a chance) and he preceded to ask my husband and I to share a table outside with a complete stranger... what? In covid times? I was shocked. After he couldn't seat us, we were forced to leave which ended up being a blessing in disguise. My husband and I are both very knowledgeable about wine but of course we always want to learn more and it's sad that we were met with someone who clearly didn't want to serve us. I would not recommend this place, but go down the road to the Caviar company for the best service ever. read more

Jerry has put together a spectacular collection of unusual wines (and of course the usual ones also) and combined with his knowledge of wine; he is certain to find the right one for you - and you can get many of them by the glass. Last week Jerry recommended a Pelerin Chardonnay from Sierra Mar Vineyard. I don't have the words to describe this stroll though a meadow as it just lingers on your tongue for hours. It was $19 a bottle. If you are a local, after your first visit you will hate yourself for not finding it sooner but only to be consoled by plan to return and often. If you are a visitor to our lovely town, you will not want to miss this lovely experience and return home with a couple of bottles tucked away for that special occasion. read more

This is such an adorable little wine bar right in the heart of the cute Tiburon town! We reached on a beautiful sunny day, wanting just a glass of white wine to sip outside on their small patio area. We approached the bar and asked the kind man to recommend us a buttery chilled Chardonnay to enjoy. He was super nice and recommended the AXR Napa Valley Chardonnay. This one was on the pricier side on the menu ($18/glass), which was overall EXTREMELY affordable ($9-$12/glass), but the beautiful catch about this place is that it is often cheaper to buy the entire bottle than get a glass AND after pursuing some bottle prices on line, a few are actually cheaper here :). So, we ended up buying the whole bottle for $30 which is stellar! Go look up this bottle and you'll see it retails for me :). So I really really appreciate that this shop does not mark up wine like most usual wine bars and that the staff is so nice and awesome at recommending a wine you'd like! We absolutely loved the Chardonnay we got. It was exactly the flavor I was looking for. And we had a great time sipping the wine and watching other Tiburon visitors strolling by. I'd highly highly recommend stopping at Tiburon wine the next time you're in Sausalito/Tiburon and looking to enjoy a glass (or a bottle!). Great friendly vibes, affordable wine, and happy staff! A and I stopped in here yesterday on a day trip to Tiburon from SF and had a great time! We originally came in to each get a nice glass of chilled wine to escape the heat but once we saw the bottle prices, we knew the move was to split one. It seems like the wine glasses are at wine bar prices (think $10-$15 a glass) but the bottles, at least on the menu and not on the wall, are at liquor store prices ($20-$30 a bottle). We decided to try a Chardonnay from Santa Cruz for $23. The owner brought the bottle out to us on their cute front patio and opened it for us. He poured it for us and brought it back inside to keep it chilled. This was such a nice touch. He was frequently coming out to check on us and refill as necessary. We had a great time sipping some nice, cold wine and watching the day go by. I personally liked the bottle we had selected but A was less of a fan. Next time, I think we would ask for a recommendation rather than choosing blind. Either way, we really enjoyed our experience here and wish we had somewhere similar to this and SF. Next time we are in Tiburon, we will be sure to drop by. read more

Tiburon Wine is the only and best place to buy wine in Tiburon/Belvedere. It's a wonderful place to try interesting and delightful wines by the glass. Tiburon wine offers flights (small tastes) and the owner Jerry is amazingly knowledgeable on all the wines he carries. His attention to detail shows in this quaint space. I fall into the latter category, but these gentlemen were able to steer me in a direction that ended up a delight to my taste buds. What a gem of an establishment! We visited on a Monday afternoon and enjoyed an awesome bottle of Urban Legends Syrah for $22! The proprietor, Jerry, is a spirited, energetic, funny and knowledgeable guy who knows his wines and yet isnt a snob about it. I was a repeat customer - but had an awful experience upon my second visit - won't be back. I went with the intent of making multiple purchases to fill my wine cellar but left insulted and without making intended purchases. Was with my eighty year old father for a special family outing and he asked whether there was a rating system for the wine (kindly but perhaps a bit naïvely). We were then excoriated and insulted by the owner, quite meanly, and repeatedly. We felt generally unwelcome. There are many other very good wine shops in the Bay Area. Local biz that is worthy of your patronage. The owner helped me grab a small batch, tough to find bottle of wine that was made with grapes from Marin, which was what I was looking for as a gift, and then after I asked a question about other wines, he busted out 3 for us to taste and each wine was off the chain good. We bought more, it worked! This guy knows what he is doing and he's lived in Marin a long time. Service here is top notch, and genuine to boot. Not often you see that anymore in this county! Last night I experienced an amazing evening with Jerry Horn during a Pop-Up dinner at his lovely wine shop. The camaraderie among the staff and clients was tangible. I felt like I was witnessing a symphony, as the night progressed the excitement in the room heightened. The perfect pairings were shared throughout the evening with David Wilcox and Austin Ferguson orchestrating food, service and Jerry complimenting with the perfect champagne and wines. Sitting at long tables and interacting with all Jerry's guest was so much fun. I was truly moved by this event. Every single person on site was fully engaged and enjoying themselves immensely. Everything was meticulous planned, the food incredible, and the wines stellar. I am looking forward to going back in the near future to learn more about and sample more wines. Jerry Horn has been a constant in the Marin wine buisness since before I was born. My father was a long time patron of Marin Wine and Spirits, and counted Jerry as one of his friends. Many things have changed in Marin since those days. Marin Wine and Spirits is gone, and so is my dad, but one thing hasnt changed; Jerrys passion for his craft. Now with Tiburon Wine it has come full circle and Tiburon has its wine maestro back in full force. Now that I am all "grown up" I get the oppurtunity to get my wine from the finest purveyor of vino that has ever crossed the licence plate tracking threshold that is Tiburon. Go in, sample something delicious, spend your hard earned cash on something fine, and lets all thank Jerry for bringing it all to us in fine Rock & Roll fashion. Cheers! read more

Stumbled across this wine bar while walking around trying to bypass time until the Ferry leaves for Angel Island. Jerry was very informative and had great energy. The wine taste amazing and was also inexpensive. I recommend trying the rosè Domaine Les Luquettes. read more

Good selection of wine, but employee working there at the time was very condescending and confrontational when I asked about the wine tastings. He told me that this was a "wine shop" and not a "wine museum." They also don't "curate" wine, they "retail" wine and told me that it was pretentious to ask how the wine was curated (I meant nothing by using that word). These were innocent questions that didn't warrant such a negative reaction. Would not recommend this place at all. Many other great options. read more
