    Broken watch

Took two perfectly good Nixon watches in today for new batteries. One battery was replaced easily. But, my limited edition wooden faced Nixon watch that I've had for 15 years got destroyed. It did not have a busted digital screen beforehand and when I got it back it did. The watch takes two batteries. One for the analog and one for the digital. The screen is busted without the digital battery in it. I'm pissed. I wasn't charged for any of the batteries so I sense there is guilt in this. But now I have a busted watch. I'd give zero stars if I could.

After being taken advantage of a couple times by other watch repair shops, I stumbled upon Tic Time. I called prior to coming in and staffs and owner was very nice and seemed confident. The service from Tic Time offers so personal and they will take care of you well. From now on, all my watches will be done by Tic Time. Bring your precious timepiece here. You will not regret it!! I would give more stars In rating if I could..

I needed a battery for my watch. They did a nice job fixing my watch and they were quick. That's about it.

It took maybe a max of 10 mins (if even) for him to finish what he was doing, and replace the battery on my watch.

I brought my wedding band in for a repair after one diamond fell out (which I was fortunate enough…read moreto find). I was quoted a little over $200 for the diamond replacement and a very minor resize of ¼ size down. When I went to pick up the ring, I was informed--after the work was already completed--that additional prongs had been replaced on both sides of the ring and that I now owed an extra $240. I was never contacted, informed, or asked for approval before this additional work was done. The explanation given was that some of the prong work was necessary due to resizing. However, after waiting over 40 minutes at pickup because the ring was "in billing," I was then told the resize had actually been forgotten entirely and had to be done on the spot. This made the justification for the unapproved prong work even more concerning. After calling twice and initially being brushed off by sales associates, I finally spoke with the owner, who acknowledged that I had not consented to the extra work and agreed to waive the additional charge. While I appreciate the owner ultimately correcting the billing, the situation itself should never have occurred. Jewelry--especially a wedding band--is deeply personal. Any additional work, design changes, or charges should never be performed without explicit customer approval. Between the unapproved services, forgotten resize, and billing delay, the experience felt disorganized and stressful. I would urge future customers to proceed with caution, insist on written estimates, and require approval before any additional work is done.

The shop had a family-run vibes, which I appreciate . A male staff member showed me the strap selection, and I chose a clean, minimal modern strap. The female watchmaker quickly swapped it out for me and was kind when I later came back to get a slightly longer size. Most customers seemed to be there for battery or strap replacements which are pretty quick. But If you have to wait, there are some good boba, coffee, curry, ice cream, and banh mi spots in the plaza. The watch selection was smaller than expected, but I did notice some interesting pieces, including Mickey watches and Snoopy memorabilia. Overall, I was happy with the service and would come back for future watch repairs or battery replacements. Check 'em out!

If you're looking for watch battery replacement shop in the South Bay, Mr. Time is the place to go…read more As people in the area may know, the watch dealers in Delamo Mall have all raised their prices for watch battery replacement. Making it quite an expensive process. I don't know why they've done this, they've driven away a lot of customers, but that's just the way it has been. Since they've raised their prices, I've been looking around for another shop that could replace the batteries in my watches for a reasonable price. Mr. Time is just that location. I took two Luminox watches in today. The proprietor looked at them and quoted the price $25. 00 for the first one, and a discounted price of $20. 00 for the second one. Sounded good to me. They got right to work. I walked around the shop looking at their watches and their other items for a little bit, ten minutes later I was out the door. Great deal! This shop is located in the strip mall on the corner of Crenshaw and Sepulveda. Thus, it's really easy to find. Plus, there's tons of parking in their lot, so that should never be a problem. Overall, great experience.
