Easily the best pizza I ate in 2020. We ordered the garlic lovers, the spicy chicken, and the meat lovers. I had three "concerns" about things I didn't think I'd like. 1) The crust looked akin to Pizza Hut's (greasy) and I normally love wood fired pizza with chewy bubbly dry crust. 2) They put all the cheese on top so you can't see the toppings buried underneath. 3) We ordered a meat lovers and I've been burned by wonky tasting sausage at so many restaurants. I'm so happy to say, I was wrong on every count. Holy cow. It was the meatiest, most flavorful, cheesiest, best pizza I've had in a long long long time. The crust is flavorful and substantial, and that's exactly what it needs to be in order to stand up to the MOUND of toppings. The cheese on top was a necessary pillowy comforter of melty chewy goodness; there was an almost obscene amount of toppings tucked underneath, all of which were exquisitely flavorful and high quality. Seriously, y'all, this is amazing pizza. The prices might seem a bit high for pizza, but I can honestly say it's worth every penny. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza, it was good but there was sooo much ham on the entire pizza you can only eat so much. The pub itself was really interesting, the front area has some seating options, and then there is also a back area where there are some pool tables, and the actual bar connects to both areas! Not going to lie...I was fairly skeptical when we walked in. There were probably four people in the bar -- all wearing leather and do-rags. Sat in some 1990 rolling office chairs and settled in for the duck game. It was the only spot around with the PAC-12 network. The bartender was GREAT. Super attentive, great service and stiff drinks. They had Gluten Free pizza?!? What?!? There are plenty of places in Portland that don't do GF pizza. Ordered fries and pizza. Fries were fries, the pizza was amazing. Tons of toppings, perfectly cooked. The owner told us a story about a ridiculously sized lobster and how some kids stabbed it with a pencil, it died, went to a museum, museum closed, and it ended up on her wall. Chose this place for pizza based on all the great reviews. It was really storming and we didn't want to leave our hotel room so we ordered for delivery. Right from the start it was a great experience. The person on the phone was so friendly and pleasant. The delivery person was super friendly and on time and the pizza was still hot! Now for the pizza...it was really excellent! We ordered the Hawaiian and it was full of toppings and covered with cheese. We noticed there was very little grease, which was fantastic. We ordered a 12 inch for 2 of us and couldn't finish it. The cheese was super fresh and the crust was just right. It was crispy and had a nice chew to it. I will definitely have pizza here again. Wow, I haven't been here in probably 15 years and stopped in tonight for a quick happy hour drink and snack because my other old favorite bar in depoe bay changed ownership and is just not a good experience anymore, my second fav place was closed on Sunday. I've been meaning to try this place again. There was one lady doing everything up front and killin it with a great attitude. Got a good strong drink fast. Then side order pretty fast, she was friendly and happy and working her butt off. Delicious home cut fries and homemade dip. Then I got the bill and so cheap! My partner and I were staying at a rental and were jonesing for pizza. This place was so phenomenal in the entirety of our interaction. They were beyond kind when placing the order, and they were above and beyond in time, they were half an hour early in their delivery! And I can't even explain how good the food was. It's just, classic fulfilling pizza you would expect from a beach town, classic. The clam strips were above our expectation. I wish I had ordered two orders honestly. And their jalapeño poppers were soooloo French. You could tell they were made in house and not frozen. I highly encourage this place for anyone whose question the unknown in a new area. It's still a dive bar but it has character and good service. The pizza - I kid you not, is pretty dang good. What an odd little place. I just don't think it was laid out by a design professional, if you get my drift. Characters in the place, and characters working at the place. No one seems to be in a hurry to do much of anything - stay, go, drink, eat, whatever, you know. Not dinging the service, as it was actually pretty good. And I ordered what everyone else was having, which was the pizza, and that turned out to be an excellent choice. A couple of reprobates were at the bar, old guys that looked like guys I might have seen at the Roxy in L.A. in the late 70's when we were all much younger, but it's all so hazy, you know? It would be a misperception to infer that I'm saying that the place is seedy and dangerous, it's actually something else - West Coast bohemian and a bit run-down and friendly. so we went here on the recommendation of a co-worker of mine and were far from disappointed. Let's get something straight, this will probably not be the best pizza you have EVER had, but it is far better than you would expect. we arrived on a Saturday morning about 15 minutes after they opened. From the outside you would think run down beach dump, when we entered we were greeted by a musty smell and decor that was tacky in a cool way. We ordered bloody Mary's and the bar made mix was great, when we asked for water the bar tender stepped up and made a "special" water just for hang overs and it was awesome. For pizza we ordered one 7" and one 12", the four of us had left overs of the best-pizza-on-the-coast. Other items on the menu look just as tasty, as the girlfriend put it, we may have found our go-to spot when staying at the Wyndham timeshare.......and they deliver to both Glen Eden beach and Depoe Bay!! So if not the best pizza why 5 stars? First the service was WAY above and beyond what was expected. .....like the pizza. Next was the cleanliness, the bathrooms were spotless and as the first customers of the day were greeted by nicely folded toilet paper. ...a touch that says if the bathroom is clean, so is the kitchen. We researched where to get the best pizza between Newport and Lincoln City. Saw several great reviews for this place. Gave it a go and the pizza was amazing. You would not think by looking from the outside that they would have do much talent in the kitchen but they do. Mary our waitress was great, friendly and helpful. Have visited many times- easily the best pizza I have ever had. The crust is a brilliant combination of chewy and crispy, with just the right amount of garlic and buttery flavor. The toppings are delicious, and piled high. The cheese is very fresh tasting and the sauce is perfect- not too sweet. The place is fairly easy to miss, they have a large lit open sign but the sign for the establishment is not and it's not easy to spot. The parking lot is also pretty small. We visited Depoe Bay to see family, and were staying in a nearby hotel. I was referred to Tide Pool by a friendly gentleman who works at Chester's Grocery and had to try it. My husband always wants pizza, and my daughters are more adventurous so the menu seemed to be right up our alley. When the food arrived I was blown away-the pizza (and mind you, I am not a huge fan of pizza) was insane. The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were piled high and secured by the right amount of cheese. One bite and I was hooked. That being said, I had ordered the fish and chips which were all perfectly cooked to a golden crisp with fresh halibut filet. My daughter ordered the popcorn shrimp and jalapeno peppers, and the shrimp were so flavorful! The poppers were also cooked just right. I will be honest with you, my other kid just ordered a boring chicken sandwich that I ignored, but she seemed happy so whatever! We loved it so much we made sure we ordered it again on our last night there too! What I wouldn't give for a place like that in San Jose. Til then, I will just dream about it. read more

We were surprised how good the food was. I had clam strips and they were perfectly cooked, and tender and you could really taste that you were eating clams. That sounds redundant but earlier in the week at Sea Hag I got fried clams that were very tough and chewy and did not taste of clams, so it made me really appreciate the Tide Pool clams. My friend ordered pizza and reported it was as good as everyone said. The place was very crowded and with one server it was slow but it was worth the wait and a pleasant atmosphere. No kids. The table next to us had an older child and when the waitress noticed they were told they couldn't eat there but could take there food to go (pizza) so they did. She was very nice about it. The only negative was the slow service but the restaurant did fill all at once so this won't keep me from coming back but I did knock off a star for it. read more

Stopped by here one night for some pizza and beer. The waitress was really friendly and knew everyone in the bar. It was definitely the local pub. We got a pitcher while we waited for our pizza. It came out quick and was delicious! We could only eat about half of it and took the rest to go. The prices were pretty average for a dive bar. We ordered pizza and wings for 18 people staying at Salishan late one evening and the food was excellent! They stopped delivering at 8:30 so we drove to pick it up and it was hot and ready when they said it would be. The next night the kids in our group wanted pizza again so we ordered by 6:30pm and they didn't deliver the pizza until almost 9:00pm, but again the pizza was delicious. So my tip is to order plenty early and pick it up yourself. Taking off one star because they seemed to be overloaded and needed more staff to handle the busy season. read more

The woman who answered the phone for our pizza order had one of those great phone voices that makes you feel like you are calling home. Friendly, and familiar. Quick ordering process, pizza would be ready in 35 minutes. While I wish they would do half and half pizzas so I could more easily satisfy everyone in our diverse group, I have to say the pizza was delicious. Tons of cheese, and baked to perfection.
