I was vacillating between 4 and 5 stars for this latest restaurant offering from the company that…read morebrought Mango Mangeaux a block down the street. I went with 4 stars this time but could be inspired to bump it up next visit. This eatery is open very reduced hours, Thursday thru Sunday from 1130am to 5pm. We got there at noon and followed a large group in the door. None of us were sure where to go exactly, but had I not been stuck behind them it would have been easy to figure out. Basically there is a large, beautifully appointed dining space with lots of seating configurations. This is not an all you can eat buffet. This is a cafeteria. Everything is a la carte. You approach the glass food cases, grab a tray and silverware and wait for one of the staff to offer you your choice of salads - I saw a pasta salad, fresh fruit, and the fixin's for a tossed green salad. We opted for the fruit salad and the tossed green salad. Then we approached the entree case where I spied liver and onions, meatloaf, baked chicken and some other offerings. The special of the day was a mango sauce pork chop. My friend opted for the pork chop and I got the liver and onions. The liver portion was huge - two large pieces of liver which was very tender and tasty. My granddaughter got the mac and cheese which appeared to be very cheesy and of the homemade variety. She ate all of her fresh fruit and some of the mac and cheese, which is more than she has eaten most places we go. I did not get any food photos as I forgot until we were well into our meals. There were some bread options including corn bread muffins. I got one that came with a small dollop of butter and it was sweet but not anything special. There was only one dessert option that I saw that looked like sweet potato pie and we passed on it. Drink options include sweet tea and mango lemonade. I would love if they offered the mango iced tea they have down the street. I did not see unsweet tea which is my drink of choice. Now to the reason I went with 4 stars. I had no idea what I was getting, what came with it, and how much it was. I paid for the pork chop, liver, salad, fruit, corn muffin, mac and cheese and 2 drinks and it came to about $35. That seems very reasonable and certainly not shocking. But I could not tell what the offerings were as they were not labelled, I did not know what came with sides and what didn't, and after the fact I noticed a very small sign about a children's meal, and found out it is spaghetti, bread and a drink for $4.99. I would really like to have the various options clearly identified and know the prices. I believe prices are posted on very small signs but not in a way that caught my attention or made sense to me. I am just one of those people that likes to know what my options are and know what I'm spending. Call me quirky that way. Limited hours must meet some demographic they are hoping to reach, perhaps the Sunday after church crowd fits perfectly in those hours. Still, a cafeteria concept can work and fill a niche in the revitalization of downtown Phoebus. Depending how long the serving line gets, because standing in line is not how I like to spend my meal time, I would like to give this eatery another chance soon!

Everything about it was good, the texture of the mushroom, the cheese (vegan?), the plant based sausage. I inhaled it and the carrot soufflé, which I'd never heard of though apparently everyone else has. ;) My first time trying maque choux as well - decent. This meal was amazing and I had a great time inhaling it at the waterfront a block away from the restaurant. 2nd visit, April 1st- more carrot soufflé please! Tried the cabbage - a green herb is included in the seasoning, tastes like basil or oregano or a blend. Different. I like it. Their salmon croquettes have a crust I'm not used to - maybe cornmeal? Some of the edges were overdone. Inside was meat only, maybe a few grains of rice, which isn't the best for salmon cakes, as they need something to keep them moist. These were on the dry side but edible. 3rd visit - more carrot soufflé please! 4th visit - went on a Sunday for the first time, which is when they have turkey wings. I ordered carrot soufflé and cabbage as sides. Was told that it comes with rice as a side and normally the soufflé would have to be an extra, separate side, but she went ahead and allowed me to opt out of the rice and have both my sides of choice. (I would have gladly paid an up charge for a premium side). Lots of turkey, good gravy. There is no picture evidence. Inhaled. 5th visit - cousin treated me to a delivery today. Turkey wings, rice, and cabbage pictured. I was trying to fight a carrot soufflé addiction and didn't request it. I regret it. ;) Cuz said thanks for hipping her to the spot - she walked out with 4 entrees herself ;) :O

I simply do not know where to begin with the most amazing time I've ever had at any restaurant in…read moremy entire life. I brought a party of 5 to finally partake in the culinary excellence that Eurasia has to offer. As a collective we ordered- STEAK N EGGS w/ no egg : such depth in all aspects of every bite. The polenta and steak were cooked with absolute precision. PEANUT CHICKEN WINGS : probably my absolute favorite of the entire spread. The tartness of the peanut butter was a very pleasant surprise. I would absolutely purchase a jar of the sauce alone. CRAB RANGOON FLATBREAD : an elevated version of a favorite take out additive. Sauce to ingredient ratio was to die for! GREEN GODDESS & MANGO SALAD : this salad was dressed to perfection, allowing all items to shine in its each individual way. CHILI CRUNCH TUNA POKE : I mean you quite literally will explode with satisfaction with every bite. The freshness and variety of flavor / texture is impeccable. FRIED RICE W/EGG ON SIDE : you can absolutely distinguish that whoever is on the line preparing your fried rice is doing so with the experience in mind. The preparation of the shrimp, the array of colored FRESH vegetables, and the rice itself. DIRTY MARTINI FETTUCINE PASTA : a blue cheese olive dirty martini is my all time favorite drink so lo and behold, there was a pasta created by its existence. The block of blue cheese down to the plethora of capers, absolute chefs kiss. BBQ DUCK : honestly if this was all I ordered , I would be more than satisfied. This item was accompanied by the most decadent Mac & Cheese , a perfected bowl of collard greens, and the pickled mountain of cabbage. STRAWBERRY CRUMB CRÈME BRÛLÉE : for the most part , I tend to stray away from a crème brûlée due to the lack of creativity. HOWEVER, the strawberry crunch crumbs and that dream of a sugar crust. I could clear a couple plates of this. PASSIONFRUIT & PANDAN TART : this hit every note of a well rounded dessert. The passionfruit was so tart with a subtle sourness that aided the coconut shortbread cookie. I would like to shout out our waitress Fantasia for an amazing service that evening by ensuring the plates never stopped coming, drinks stayed full, and any requests satisfied. As well as Chef Braedon for coming out to introduce himself and explain the magic he placed on our table. My friends and I will most definitely be back.

I got pasta with a red vodka sauce with a pesto drizzle. It is the best pasta dish I have had in a while. My husband got the burger. I took a bite. Very flavorful and fresh. I could have eaten all of that I tasted the grilled chicken over rice. That was also good. The ambience is my favorite part of this restaurant. There was five other birthday parties going on. What a really fun vibe to this restaurant I highly recommend checking it out. I would also recommend reservations because of how busy.

I ordered the Sunrise Burger, subbing hot honey for the mayo and oh-mah-gawsh that was an excellent decision. (The burgers are a little on the smaller side, but I found it to be the perfect size.) I told my husband that the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Kyle was our server, and he was incredible--attentive despite being a little overwhelmed. It's darker on the inside because of the wood paneling, but it works for the saloon-adjacent vibe it's going for. Highly recommend!

So when one of the Homies told me about this place I was all in because - burgers - what's not to love. Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated but that was cut short by option to sit at the bar. The bartender was working like she had six arms. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!
