I have slate tile in my shower, and after 20 years it has been crumbling, with water leaking into the wall. I had gotten estimates to redo my bathroom that were in the neighborhood of $30k. I needed an alternative solution I could actually afford. Jan swooped in and saved the day. He replaced the most damaged tile with porcelain tile that will stand up to the direct line of water. He then sealed the rest of tile which should keep it from taking on any additional water, and repaired the baseboards and dry wall that had been damaged. He was very easy to work with, responsive, and went above and beyond even finding the tile that was a pretty close match. Johann completely demo'd and laid a new marble shower base for our large walk in shower that was leaking. The base/shower itself was only 3 years old, but was done very poorly to begin with. I received a quote back quickly, he came on site and verified our issues and pricing and was actually able to start within days. Since obviously a tile shower base should last more than 3 years, I wanted an expert to repair it, and that's exactly what Tigele Tile is. Johann came out to re-caulk my shower & countertops in January 2017. He reviewed photos I sent him, gave me a quote, we agreed, and he came out to do the work. Upon arrival and pulling back the old caulk, he realized there was a bit of mold growing behind the tile; however, said he was able to dry it out and caulk that day. UNFORTUNATELY, here I am, 10 months later and there is mold growing out from the back of the tiles in multiple places and the caulking on my countertops is peeling. After trying to contact him over the last month, Johann has gone silent. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN. He clearly does not stand behind his work and will not fix any mistakes that he made.
