Great dive bar with a long history in June Lake. Amazing house made potato chips. Solid menu with something for everyone. Welcoming staff and a great place to chat with locals, hikers, folks here for fishing, skiers, bikers, vacationers, leaf peepers- you name it. At times the service can be a bit slow, but I imagine staffing is not easy in a town this size.

Short little review as I stumbled into this bar to grab a quick Bloody Mary and it didn't disappoint. Tiger Bar & Cafe is a long time staple in June Lake. Everything about it is giving time capsule and they don't need to upgrade much because it's a local hole in the wall favorite. This spot is open early morning to evening, making it one of the only spots in June Lake where you can score breakfast. I wandered in at 10am craving a Bloody Mary and seeing that every other bar / restaurant in town was closed. When you are the only option you're a good option lol. I sat up at the old school diner bar and it was cozy. The bar itself has lots of Tiger swag and merch all across it. Funny signs and sayings, this place is a hoot. Staff were nice and friendly. Almost immediately when I sat down a nice gal took my order, cashed me out and made me my Bloody Mary. For an $8 Bloody Mary it hit the spot. A little small but packed with flavor. Happy I could try this famous Mary while I was in downtown lake June. I'd come back to try their breakfast and to grab another cocktail next time. A good local spot, no frills, just a classic diner and bar.

Homey, authentic diner in the middle of town when visiting. Generous portions and exciting menu. The food was delicious, but there was some wait time of getting first greeted, ordering, and paying your check. Family comes here often and loves the food!

This place is great. The atmosphere is great. They have music and the wait staff is friendly. I would equate the food to Dennys. It gets the job done. Plus they have a full bar.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a friendly family oriented atmosphere with lots of character, and a rich history. I would recommend going here for the beautiful views and friendly people. I hope to someday return.

    Chili Fries were so good!

Friendly service. We only ordered some beers and fries to hold us over until the rain stopped. Nice and cozy. Great mountain community vibes.

Had the huevo rancheros and the specialty bloody Mary.. as the nice lady who served me said " we make them as if it was for us" very nicely prepared. She was very welcoming and offered me to stay as long as I needed ( I was waiting for my AirBNB to be ready). Will definitely come back while in June mountain

The Tiger Bar is June Lake's popular watering hole and restaurant. The food is generally good, no complaints about that. What puzzles me is how consistently bad is their coffee. Why? Surely they must know.

Tiger bar fun fact 2nd generation built in 1938 they have 2nd longest liquor license in California. The original owner nickname was Tiger so they just kept it. They have a bar they say breakfast is pretty busy we had lunch and patty melt fresh and good with seasoned fries that we great, also a hamburger the bread was super fresh and all the food was hot Steiger from the grill. Tiger chips homemade potato chips need to try these are were really good. On every window sill they have old timer leprechaun fisherman sitting in a log pretty cute.

We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. Another good but different experience at Shelter Distilling.

What I got instead was a dealer who treated my losses like a personal comedy special. Every hand I lost was met with smirks, chuckles, and full-on laughter -- not subtle, not professional, but the kind of laugh you give when you want someone to feel stupid. Nothing says "hospitality" like being mocked while losing money. It gets worse. This same dealer actively pressured me to bet more, repeatedly pushing me to raise my wager like he was my financial advisor with a personal vendetta. "Come on, one more hand," "Double it," "You'll win it back" -- constant, uncomfortable, predatory commentary. I didn't come to be hustled by the person running the table. And then the cherry on top: He announced it was the "last shoe" -- only for me to later find out there were THIRTY MINUTES left before the table actually closed. Thirty. Minutes. The only explanation? He wanted to go home early and didn't care who he misled to do it. Lying to players to speed up your shift is next-level unprofessional. But wait -- there's more. * Cards were slapped down aggressively like the dealer was mad at me for losing * Zero table etiquette -- rules changed depending on his mood * Eye-rolling when I asked basic questions * A vibe so hostile it felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by existing * Management nowhere to be found, as if this behavior is completely normal here Casinos are supposed to be fun, exciting, and at the very least neutral. This felt like psychological warfare with chips involved. I've played blackjack in plenty of casinos. I've lost money before -- that's part of the game. What I've never experienced is being laughed at, pressured, lied to, and rushed out by a dealer who clearly had zero respect for players or the integrity of the table. Do yourself a favor: take your money, your time, and your dignity literally anywhere else. Wahaana Casino doesn't deserve any of the three.
