Been here 3-4 times. Very authentic Szechuan restaurant. I usually get Taiwanese beef noodles, mapo tofu, and some sort of fish. The portions are HUGE. Very worth the money. I recommend eating in if ordering fish because it comes in a big heated tray. I've tried ordering fish takeout and it's not the same. Menu is pretty comprehensive. It has all the classics. Food comes out super quick. One time we came right before closing and service was super slow- they never checked on us, but usually they are good about it. Wish they had a better drink menu. I had some free time during a lunch break, so I scoured yelp to find something that was relatively quick but super tasty. I saw the awesome reviews and got into the car and zoomed over. I opened the menu and immediately saw what I wanted- Dan Dan Noodles and vegetable spring rolls. Within 20 minutes, I had both of these sitting at my table. The spring rolls were pretty standard, but still really good. And the Dan Dan noodles totally hit the spot! There was a note on another review that they weren't spicy- I'd say I agree but for anyone not accustomed to meals with a lot of heat, these will likely be pretty spicy. I added some extra hot oil before realizing there was a lot of hot oil already at the very bottom. Still, I found these really good. I do with there was a *touch* more flavor... probably something a little salt or something else. The parking lot is awesome because there is A LOT of options. Now, this is Houston, so I am sure during busier times, you may need to walk a little further. Either way, I really enjoyed this place. I was able to get there and back within an hour lunch. I'm on a tour to find the best General Tso's chicken in all of Houston. My stop today brought me to Tiger Noodle House. Not impressed. Stop using white meat for General Tso's. Chicken can easily get dry which my dish was. Also the sauce wasn't it. You want the sauce to stick to the chicken like glue, and we were missing it here. Very lackadaisical attempt at making GTC. Saw the good reviews on this place and wanted to check it out since it was close by. We order led the Shanghai dumplings, bamboo dish and.spicy boiled fish. The Shanghai dumplings were ok. Skin was thicker than others I've had. It was tasty. The weird thing was they serve it with chili oil and another sauce. I asked for the standard black vinegar with ginger sauce but they don't have it. The. Double bamboo shoots dish was tasty. Different in a good way and would order again. The boiled fish was good. This spot is small and is to the right of Grand Luxe Cafe. It seemed clean and staff were attentive. I'm not sure what I expected from this place but it was just kinda in the middle for me. The spicy dan dan didn't have much flavor other than the spice and the rice also fell a little flat for me. It wasn't bad but it's not a place I'm going to think of when I want this food again. We were having a weekend trip to Houston on a late Sunday night. Most spots were closed and we found this spot. It closed at 10:30 and we got there at 10pm. I felt bad for going so close to closing time but the host and waiter did not hold it against us. They were helpful and happy to serve us. The pork dumplings are a must try! They were delicious and so fast! The food quality was amazing and I had my doubts since again we got there so close to closing time. I def recommend this spot! The Mongolian beef was so tender and there is so much you can def split with two people. Sichuan Chicken was good not too spicy it is hard in texture though so beware it's not soft! Such an excellent restaurant to go to if you're looking for some fire (quite literally because of the spice) food! Everything was executed really well. The beef rolls had super tender slices of beef that contrasted super well with the slightly crispy and flaky roll. The Sour Fermented Green Beans had great crunch and fantastic heat while the Cumin Beef was super fragrant. Finally, the Spicy Fish Filets were super tender and spicy. We searched for Ramen near our hotel and Tiger Noodle House popped up. After a Quick Look over the menu I realized this was much more than ramen. It was ACTUAL Sichuan food. Now my mouth was watering. My husband and I and our 2 kids took a very short 10 minute walk to get here. We were greeted with very happy and attentive wait staff. The menu was fantastic. We shared pork potstickers, spring rolls and a Tiger Beef wrap as appetizers. They were all sooo tasty. For mains we shared orange chicken (for the kids) cumin lamb and spicy fish. I came to try Tiger Noodle House at the recommendation of a coworker, and now I know I shouldn't take food recommendations from that coworker anymore. While the food was edible, I was unimpressed with everything my party ordered. The parking in the area is limited. When I first walked in, I smelled something a little unsettling. It wasn't noxious, but I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was the whole time I was there. The table we were seated at was sticky. Overall, not the vibe. Our waitress was very polite, however, and she returned several times to refill our water. The food was disappointing, not gonna lie. Spicy Wontons: Absolutely no spice to be found, and there wasn't much flavor either. The wontons themselves were tough and unenjoyable to chew. Spicy wontons are a favorite of one of my friends, and even she did not feel compelled to finish them. Steamed Pork & Shrimp Shu Mai: These were okay. Far from the best I've had, but it was one of the better things we ordered. Xiaolongbao: These were disappointing. I was under the impression there was supposed to be soup inside. I think they were overcooked since there was no soup inside any of them, and the meat inside was a little tough. Spicy Dan Dan Noodles: These were decent. Not spicy in the slightest, but they had decent flavor. The best of the dishes we ordered in my opinion. Spicy Lamb w/Cumin: These were the second-best thing we ordered. The lamb was seasoned well, and it actually had a good kick to it. It was dry though, so keep your glass of water handy. Fried Rice: Absolutely atrocious. I have dined at many an Asian restaurant, and this is the worst fried rice I have been served. I will eat mediocre rice anywhere because I eat rice with everything, but they really screwed this up. It was clumpy, chewy, and lacking in flavor. My friends and I usually take to-go boxes because we don't like to waste food, but the rice was left behind because no one wanted another bite of it. My recommendation is you save your money and eat somewhere else. While the prices at face value aren't outrageous, it certainly feels outrageous when you realize afterward that Panda Express does it better. Eating here felt like eating a Lean Cuisine. read more

I love this restaurant and how they cook their food, my main complaint with Chinese food has always been how greasy it is, but these guys do it just right. The Galleria location is always clean and I have never had to wait for a table as there is plenty of space there. Typically I will pick up my food and they are fast to get your order done once it is placed. Portions are very good and I always enjoy having some leftovers for the following day. Here's the challenging part to keep this restaurant away from a 5 star review: We were dining in towards the closing time (about 30 mins away) and we saw the staff uncovered trash can with stinky load roll out through the dining area and out the front door. I captured them come back in on their way back. Then one staff started broomstick cleaning the dining area and we were still eating the food which was uncovered on the table. I'm sure this calls for a health and safety violation but I'll leave that to the authorities to decide on their next inspection. Giving this a 3/5 not because of the food but some very important customer service glitches Let's start with the food- Amazing! The steamed dumplings were delish and the mapo tofu was excellent! You can't go wrong with these two! Now the bad part- we were seated close to the kitchen and while we were having our dinner, two men from inside the kitchen brought out huge garbage cans that were stinking and walked past us. I don't think it's even allowed to take your garbage out the front door of the restaurant, especially when you have customers seated. The trash could've easily fallen on our food. We let this go and then just 5 mins later a guy started sweeping the floor all around us. Like why could you not wait 20 mins for the customers to finish their dinner? I know it was close to the closing time and the folks probably had a long day, that being said the restaurant still owes us the decency of a hygienic dinner. I've eaten duck in a lot of places, but this was my first Beijing duck, and it's the best duck I've ever tasted. Much better than Peking duck to me, and I love Peking duck. At first, I was disappointed. It looked NOTHING like the photo. It looked like someone had just hacked the duck to pieces while blindfolded. Whomever cut it had none of the finesse of whomever cooked it. But, oh, the flavor! One of my fellow diners accurately described it as "the brisket of duck." It had the same, rich smokiness, like it had been under the care of a Texas pit master on a 15-hour date with a wood-fired smoker. Yet it was still tender, with a crisp skin. I would definitely come again! The steamed fish with ginger and onion was very nice. The fish was so moist and tender, in a nice soy-based sauce with a large mound of finely chopped ginger and green onion on top. Delicious! Xiao long bao (pork) were juicy and delicious. Not the best we've ever had, but good enough to order again, for sure. Spicy lamb with cumin was very spicy in that uniquely Szechuan way, with lots of chilis and Szechuan peppercorn, which went very well with the cumin. And the lamb was also very tender. Great dish, but get fried rice or something on the side to give yourself a break from the heat. They even serve frog legs. I didn't try them but my friend enjoyed them. We were a party of nine and they accommodated us well, sliding a couple of tables together. They offered sake, but only hot sake and only one brand. They had several beers available. We drank Asahi. There seemed to be no dessert options, but we were too full anyway. It wasn't fancy. Service wasn't perfect (they dropped a few items from the order by accident (two orders of pot stickers and my entree) but they fired up the entree quickly once they realized the error. And the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Bottom line, we had a great time, and I don't know where else to get duck like that. Literally melted in my mouth. It was awesome. I will say that if you aren't a fan of the fatty parts of pork belly, this may not be for you. But I personally love it so it was excellent. For starters, we got the the crispy shrimp rolls which were delicious. They came out very hot and fresh and was served with a side of sweet and sour sauce I believe. For my entree I got the seafood stir fry noodles which came with shrimp, scallops and crab meat. Again, it came out fresh and hot and the portions were a very good size so I was able to take home leftovers. I'm not sure of the exact name of the meal my friend got but I believe it may have been the chicken stir fried and she subbed out the regular rice for fried rice. Served fresh and hot but I will say the rice and noodles could've use a tad bit more sauce but I know the sauces are usually high in sodium so I understand or adding anymore.
