The two times I've been here my experience was excellent. The food was a 4/5 but I'll round it up to a 5 because the service was amazing. Our server gave us a warm welcome & she was very kind. The decor is neat and the restaurant is clean; even the restrooms were spotless. Walking in you can feel the quiet/calm atmosphere with music that'll put you to sleep. It definitely had me sleepy after my meal. I decided to order their lunch special which comes with a drink (no refills) /appetizer and a choice of Pho, Vietnamese Sandwich, Rice plate or Vermicelli noodle bowl. I got the pho with lean brisket & spring rolls as the appetizer. The spring rolls were fresh like they just rolled it. The peanut was exceptional, it was creamy and had the right amount of nuttiness to it. I just wish they gave me more because it wasn't enough. The pho was very good. The broth was savory, clean & not too oily. It also had a sweetness to it which I like. The brisket was tendered and melt in your mouth. The noodles were cooked perfectly but I didn't get a lot of it. My friend said he received a lot of noodles but not a lot of protein, it was the opposite for myself. My portion of the meat was generous but the noodles were a little skimpy. I still left full though. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. Considering prices are higher now and days I'll say $15 for lunch isn't so bad. I do want to add that even though this restaurant isn't in Chinatown/Viet-town, it's better than most of them in that area. This spot is a gem and I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes.

Just discovered this cute restaurant. Tucked away in a tiny strip center. Food was delicious. I had the pork sandwich lunch special with chicken dumplings. Service was fast and great. Wish I had found this lunch place close to the office years ago.

Super yummy. Tiny little restaurant. I got the spicy beef soup and the pork vermicelli bowl. They both were amazing and good sizes

Honestly so good and a killer first impression I'm used to cheaper pho, but the clean taste, amazing quality of brisket, perfect amount of savoriness in the broth, and yummy noodles gets a well deserved two thumbs up from me I ordered to go and they had it ready so quickly and were so eager to help. I like the amount of parking spaces too. It definitely warmed my soul and woke up my taste buds today. I'd love to try with chilli oil since they offer that too. Everything was simple but quality Also very cute decorations

Quiet yet good food!!! No complaints from me. Definitely feeling and great portion size for the price.

    Roach

Ordered from here today and there was a roach in my Pho. So so so grossed out. Won't ever eat here again.

Love this little spot on Westheimer. While I prefer Chinatown for my Vietnamese needs, this serves as a solid spot in the Westchase area. First and foremost, I love how neat and clean it is here. The condiment caddy was well kept. The owners obviously care about their restaurant. It's not a huge space, so be prepared at peak times. On my last visit, I ordered the chicken pho. The broth is on the sweeter side, and only breast meat is available. I prefer skin on leg meat. But, given their patrons in the area, I understand their reason for this. The large portion was hearty and came out extra hot like I requested. There was plenty to take home for the next day. The lady working the dining room by herself was very sweet. Definitely one of my outside Chinatown spots.

Is this a friendly van? Or a Foe Van? You decide. We definitely like the sandwiches and iced coffee and spring rolls and all the Vietnamese food here. There's a lot of great Vietnamese places down on Bellaire of course, but this one would stand up to them all the way, and it's top-notch in every regard, and it's right next to our gym so we like that.

Great service and food! Me and my coworker got their lunch special: $12.95 for a drink, appetizer and main entree. The owner lady there was super nice and friendly. Even though me and my friend arrived 10 minutes before opening, she still served us and had our food out super quickly! I got a shrimp spring roll as my appetizer (forgot to get a picture cause I was too hungry) but let me tell you, it's the biggest spring roll I have ever seen at a vietnamese restaurant. Also tastes super good and made with fresh ingredients. For my entree, I got the lemongrass pork vermicelli bowl and the portion size was also huge! The lady overheard I liked cilantro so she added more for me. Overall, very great experience eating here! I have eaten here twice and the food and service never disappoints!

Located in the shopping center behind Walgreens at the intersection of Westheimer Rd and Wilcrest, this beautifully decorated cozy spot packs a punch! Went there for early dinner and the place was deserted. Our waitress Valerie was nothing short of perfect! She was kind patient enthusiastic and very informative. The food was delicious and fresh, made to our specified requests. Used to go to a pho nearby and found this haphazardly and so glad we did. This will be out to go Pho spot from here on out. Gotta try the lunch special looks delishhh . Told my coworkers about it as well.

Pho tai ( rare steak) had a very good taste. The broth, whitish in color, tastes good. I also had a passion fruit tea. No free refills on any drinks. Maybe on water. Lol. The prices are higher for pho than what im used to. The tea too. Overall good taste.

Good Pho and extremely nice lady that was serving. She was busy being the only server but was still attentive. I loved how she said "thank you for your kindness" when I checked out and left her a tip. That was sweet. The pho and broth is good. I will come again!

The got nice wall art too, depicting the popular dishes from the north so I had my expectation and hopes up. Service is ordinary, she speaks little English but can get by ordering, we order first at the counter the sit anywhere. Braised egg is 2 for $3.50, salty but expected since it's marinated. Came out steaming hot, and yolk was not overly cooked and dry, not bad. Starting with the Chinese hamburger I felt sad and know not to expect too much from the other dishes we ordered. First the meat look different than what others have posted before, and it was kinda dry and too salty to eat. There was no other spice, only the meat juice flavor. The bun they use was stale to eat. Traditional way of making this should be the flaky oily pancake, or at least make the buns softer to eat. The mutton stew was clear and very heartwarming to drink on a cold day. But the portion is super small for the price. The glass noodles were gone in literally two bites. I had none to share with my boyfriend. This dish come with the burger bun too that you can soak them in the soup so I guess this is the extra carb make up for the less noodles. Oil splash noodle is their specialty? It was good but didn't wowed me. Noodles are chewy and well cooked, came with lots of bean sprouts. The sauce is flavorful and actually not too oily which I enjoyed more. You can add the beef for an extra charge, it's the regular braised beef, was just ok. I find it funny that their all food arts on the wall look nothing like the actual way they serve it.

Look no further for authenticity, flavor, and complexity in Chinese cooking near the med center!…read more Though we opted for more "simple" dishes during this experience, you can judge a place by if they can do their simple dishes well. The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. This place is definitely a go to if I'm convincing a friend of Houston's great food scene! Rating: 4.5/5

On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.
