Terrible Impression. I walked in for Lunch. Unfortunately, the menus are located in the far right front corner of the room, making the menu stand location behind me and to the far right as soon as I walked in the door. Anyway, I didn't see them. I stood there inside the door wondering if I was to wait to be seated. The waitress came out, looked at me and said "Welcome to Tijuana Flats," then turned around and disappeared. I stood there for a minute looking dumb until I realized that the I would order at the counter in the right rear corner. So I got in line, and I noticed other customers' holding menus, but I could not find one. So, I walked back out to the middle of the restaurant and waited another minute until the waitress returned and I asked. She pointed to the right-hand corner behind me. This place has really gone down hill. I understand that places are short staffed but when you see multiple employees standing around laughing and chatting and no one working it's hard to believe your food isn't ready because they are busy. Especially when there are only 5 tables taken and 3 of them have their food. Multiple times I have ordered online and have been told 20 mins to pick up. When I arrive I sit there for another 20 minutes and when I call to ask about it I a rudely told they are busy and they don't know how long it will be, yet they are all standing around. Finally went inside to get my food. When I finally got my food I was missing items and my food was cold. Obviously it had been sitting around for a while but employees were too busy socializing to bring it out to be. I have been going to this location since they opened but I have had enough of their poor customer service. Get it together t flats, this location used to be wonderful but not anymore. read more

Tonight I ordered takeout waited over an hour and 10 minutes. The staff would walk right by me never greeted me. I finally asked somebody to pay for my food. I've always had a good experience here tonight was by far the worst experience. I understand that people are short staffed but ignoring people and making people upset simply take no more orders turn off the apps if you're un able to take care of guest. I've been a customer for over 10 years the new staff is not friendly or nice. read more

I still love TijuanaFlats. They were very nice in fixing any problems I had. They are an amazing company and will always recommend.

I give this place 5 stars because it is ultimately my favorite tex-mex place! The prices are pretty cheap and the service is fast. I am addicted to their chips and salsa. The chips are fresh and super crispy, and the salsa is bomb! I use the salsa on everything! I absolutely love their Chicken Chimichanga (but in the minijuana) because I can never finish the regular size since I snack so much on the chips. There is something about the way they marinade the chicken, but it's so delish! I also like to order the flautas, but the chimichanga won my heart. Hehe. For some reason, I really love the Sweet Tea here and the way they crush the ice. Love chewing on the ice, even though it's bad for you, oh well. haha. read more

The stars given are for the very friendly staff. The rest bombed. I ordered a steak salad to go, just got home and this is a pretty sad little thing. I realize they have to give a smaller/shorter bowl (the fried tortilla bowl thing) than what you'd get dining in in order for the salad to fit into the to go box... normally though Tijuana will compensate by giving you a hefty amount of actual salad inside of the bowl. This was a tiny lunch portion salad and the ranch dressing was watered down so much to where I thought it had spoiled because the solids (onion pieces and tomatoes and maybe avocado chunks?? I came back to this location nd it was ok for a few visits then it went back to crap. the service staff are better but the cooks make what is normally hot food at their other locations, stone cold. I've yet to get queso that hasn't congealed into a lump by the time i get it (the sad thing is, they're usually fast about it too). I'm done with this location and give up. This location has gone downhill quickly. Order curbside and expect to have to go in after waiting 15 minutes past your pickup time. Once inside, expect to be greeted with annoyance from the staff for asking for your late food. Manage to get your food, take it home, and expect at least one thing to be wrong. Eat the food, and expect that the bottom of all of the tacos are so soggy that they fall apart from sitting so long inside. This has been my experience the last 3 times. First time, no biggie, everyone has a bad day, right? Second time, I'm seeing a trend here. Third time, write a Yelp review after the manager yells at you for your "attitude" after you've waited 40 minutes for to-go tacos, and you ask if you can just get the bag sitting on the shelf yourself. read more

After having a bad experience with Tijuana Flats about a month back i was contacted by someone apologizing for my bad experience. I was so sure I wasn't going to come to Tijuana Flats again. But I had the craving of there chimichanga so bad and decided to give it one more try. I have to say they impressed me today. The food came out extra fast! The queso was perfect! And my chimichanga was fantastic!!! The service was top notch! Great job on making sure I had a great service and great food!!! So close to 5 stars. Again, a local fave, but, a bit too inconsistent on temperature of food and portion size.

I've never been disappointed with Tijuana Flats and with anything I've ordered (usually a blackened chicken burrito with the works, or the flautas). Even on a busy day or during the busy lunch hours, I have found that the service is always spot on, and the employees are very helpful. As always, make sure you try the Rasta Sauce. I haven't been this excited to leave a review in a while but this place deserves it. I come to this location frequently for takeout and it's always a pleasant experience. The one time I had an issue with my order it was fixed with no hassle. But this time I ate in and I'll probably do so more often. My food was amazing as usual but the staff here is just amazing. They are so helpful and accommodating I was literally amazed by their service. My friend was unsure of what he wanted and the cashier was so patient and helpful even with wind taco Tuesday in the background. They fill drinks pick up trash and essentially anything you could ask for in that setting. I know it sounds like they were just doing their job but I could tell that they had a genuine kindness to them and it showed. All around a great experience I can't wait to go back. This used to be my favorite restaurant hands down. Today I went and got my usual 2 soft blackened chicken tacos and the chicken was so rubbery I couldn't finish them. I don't know what happened here since the last time I went but there are way too many options in Altamonte to get this kind of quality from what used to be the best tacos in town. read more

Giving 2 stars for the lousy service. We called in an order and we had to keep repeating it to the girl. We get stuck with her every time we call. She has no business answering the phones. Then when we get there to pick it up they charge my credit card for the entire order even after the girl was told they were separate. So she refunds my card (I think) and doesn't give us the receipt with proof. They did the same thing last week on my order and had to refund my card. Please put some competent people to work there or we won't be returning. By the way chips were stale too. read more

After an evening of fun with the family, I wanted to introduce them to Tijuana Flats, and this was the closest location. It was my first time at this one, but it did not disappoint. Just like its other locations, everything was delicious and the staff was great. I am an extreme fans of the Steak items and the Queso. I highly recommend those. I love TFlats in general, but for whatever reason, this location is my favorite. The manager is always super nice, refills our chips and salsa to go, and the food is consistently good. My only gripe about this place is I wish it had more booths cause tall chairs hurt my back and the tables are all squishes together a bit inside. BUT, as it's kinda small, I understand why they can't. If they did though, I probably come to this location more often, even though its further from my house! read more

I have eaten at several of their locations. This was my first time here and my first time eating a veggie burrito. The food was a lot better than the last time I ate at a TF. I have always like Tijuana Flats, but I find it to be a little too expensive. Also, I wish they would garnish with pickled jalapenos, instead of fresh. I still don't really know what the Hemp Burritos are. There is no explanation on the menu or on the chalk board for specials. Also, I wish the hot sauces were labeled according to heat intensity. I got one that was a thick habanero sauce, thinking it was going to be super spicy and when I got home it ended up being sweet. All-in-all I do like this location. I think the food here is sub-par. The service was good and the environment was OK, but the food is nothing better than I could make at home. I like the selection of sauces but that gimmick got old quick. For the cost of the food I just don't think it is worth my time. For the cost of their food I'd rather go to a sit down and have some one take my order with a nicer atmosphere.
