Very disappointed today. Came in for Taco Tuesday (love these days) placing 2 orders of Dos Tacos (blackened chicken and black bean hard tacos) to go. Got home to eat and first found very few chips in our containers. Then dug into the tacos and each taco had MAYBE 4 or 5 pieces of chicken! Not happy. read more

I haven't been to a Tijuana Flats in years. Went on a Saturday night and of course it was crowded, loud and the tables were messy. I ordered the Powerlite Norita Bowl. Not bad but the rice could've been cooked a little more for my liking. Not a place I'd frequent weekly but will definitely give the new location, which just opened a try. I will not be coming back to Tijuana flats. The manager was not welcoming , She never said hi once , I believe it to be the GM. The reason was that I was with my kids walking to my car and I saw the same manager Kissing another manager and proceeded to do so as I walked by with my kids. read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time last week. A server, (I WISH I could remember her name)!!, greeted us at the door, asked us if we had ever been there, explained how to order, than said here, have a seat and I will help you. There really is not a better burrito than the Megajuana steak burrito wet with queso. I get the same thing every time I come here. The hot sauce bar is awesome especially for those of us who don't do spicy. Also it's the cheapest on taco Tuesday's when you can get two tacos chips and a drink for $5.99! read more

Overall I enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. I typically get take out. Usually ready quickly. One highlight is the hot bar with a variety of hot sauces to tickle any palate. My only complaint is the recent addition of queso to so many items. Since I take food home, by the time I get there, it's soggy and unappetizing. Therefore I've had to start ordering it without queso. Otherwise for quick mex, this is a great option which is budget friendly. read more

Having eaten at Moe's, Chipotle, Taco Bus, and now Tijuana Flats, I can honestly say this place is second out of the bunch, just behind Taco Bus. Grab a menu along the left hand wall and get in line, it's normally packed at dinner time. I like the option of getting a larger sized burrito if you're feeling extra hungry. Sauces! Tons of sauces, from mild and sweet, to regretfully hot, (you can open a portal to Hades with some of the sauces, ouch). The sauce names are fun as well! They're really potent, and are served in thimble sized cups. I would just pour some on your basket of chips, or get the combo with a drink and refried beans/rice (go for the combo, the chips and salsa are tiring to eat a lot of). Service! They'll sometimes get you a drink in line, and they'll bring the food to your table. They'll also bus your dirty dishes, so a small tip is warranted. Great atmosphere, fun music and great Mexican food. This place is at the top of my list of fast casual Mexican food. Typically I'll write a review after eating at a place a few times. I have never been to a Tijuana Flats before until I moved down here. I am very impressed with their tacos. I've had every variety. They don't skimp on the amount of ingredients they put in. And, they taste great. The hot sauce bar is legendary, and very self-explanatory. Taco Tuesdaze is the best taco deal in town. DINER BEWARE!!!! The servers/cashiers here will overcharge you and keep the money. We ordered beef chimichanga and comes with chips and flauntas. Both were $7 each and 1unsweetened ice tea @$3, we were given $4 in change back from$30 ! Tijuana Flats is one of my husband's favorite spots for lunch so when we are in Brandon we often go here. I like that they have a Light Menu, whole wheat options, and use hormone free meats. I can also tell that their sour cream is REAL sour cream and a little of that goes a long way. Their chicken is good, white meat and is never fatty. I do appreciate the seasoning they put on it. I do not enjoy their always cold chips with sporadic seasoning...some chips have no salt and pepper and the others are covered with it. I usually ask for them to just leave them off. I'm a fan of their chicken and black bean burrito or quesadilla and the husband likes their chicken soft tacos. Is this mostly stuff you could make at home? Yes. But it is good for on the go and is consistently good quality food at a reasonable price. Also, they do have good service as someone always greats you when you come in, hands you a menu and offers suggestions if you want them. They also have people walking around to refill drinks, remove trays etc. This location is usually busy but is also clean. read more

I'll stop in every once and a while for a quesadilla, which I could easily make at home, but their sauces definitely make it worth it to eat out. I love Tijuana Flats. It's fast, fresh and very reasonable. We can feed our family of 4 - including a couple of adult refreshments - for $20-$25, which seems almost impossible these days. Cost saving tip: the tacos are presented as a two taco meal, but they are huge and can be ordered individually. Get one taco, make it a meal with beans, rice & a drink and the whole meal is like $4 for a lot of food! I wish their guac was better. It's pretty easy to tell who uses freshly mashed avocado (Chipotle) and who uses the wholly guacamole pulp (I'm lookin' at you TF!). And this particular location loses a star because it's a little bit dark and musty. read more

I'm not sure what's going on at TF's. I hadn't been in the restaurant for about 4-6 months. Prior to that I was a huge fan and was never disappointed. Went in last night to get 3 meals to go. First disappointment, they have changed the menu completely. The girl that took our order couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear her because the music is soooooo LOOOOUUUUDDDD. I watched 1 of the cooks making our food shake hands with one of the cooks getting off work...gloved food hand shaking bare hand that he had just wiped his nose with. Nice guys! There seems to be lots of girls working there, but all they do is drink sodas & text behind the counter. Be careful if you have on heels, the concrete floor is so greasy & slick, it's a hazard. Then there was the food.....oh my. Taco salad had mostly the white/yellow end of romaine lettuce (I picked most of this out). Guacamole had gone way south...it was dark, blackish green, so I guess they thought it was fine to serve. After 2 alka seltzers last night, my husband and I still aren't feeling right.
