I realized I checked in here 38 times so I think I like the place . :) My family enjoys coming here on a regular basis as it is something my son frequently requests to eat. My favorites are the blacked chicken bowl with black beans and all the toppings. The flautas are also incredibly good when I'm feeling like eating something calorie dense. I have the t flats app and it's worth it for the deals and occasional free meals. Service here is wonderful! We see some of the same employees here a lot and they work really hard. I have been to this Tijuana Flats before and it's not bad but not amazing. The cashiers are very helpful and have been friendly. They delivered the food to the table and table touches were done. The restaurant is clean and there is a decent amount of space. The food is ok and that's where a full point and a fraction is lost. The queso is really good but if you're not ready to spend the extra money on it, you don't know. The salsa is on par with a decent salsa that you can find in many restaurants but not something to phone home about. The guacamole is under salted and I think there may have been salt on the sauce bar but it would be nice if there was something on the table. The plain/regular chicken street taco is a bit bland and the blackened is a little better but not by a lot. Definitely hit the sauce bar to improve the taste. I know that on a previous visit I have enjoyed the food too but I do believe I grabbed sauces from the sauce bar tand thT makes a huge difference. Will I eat there again? Yes. Will it be high on my list of Mexican style restaurants? Not really but it's more affordable then a full service casual place. I'm more on a 3.75 out of 5. read more

I am also a fan of the multitude of hot sauces that Tijuana Flats. The ambiance here is nothing fancy, but it is comfortable in a quick casual restaurant kind of way. I went with the chimichanga and it was good. Again, this is not an authentic type Mexican restaurant, but it does not negate the fact that Tijuana Flats offers a pretty solid product. If you like Chipotle, you should like Tijuana Flats. It has the same business model and a similar quality. Tijuana Flats have come a long way since the first location opened back in 1995 in Winter Park, Florida (part of the Orlando, Florida area). It has grown to over one hundred and twenty ty locations in four states. Their website says it has one hundred twenty-three locations). Date of experience: November 2023 I had not eaten at this Tijuana Flats in over a year but I was still signed up to receive their email offers. In the morning I received an email from Tijuana Flats for a buy one entree, get the 2nd entree half off. So my friend and I decided to go for lunch. After we ordered our food, I told the girl I had a BOGO offer code on my phone and the young girl at the register vanished for a few minutes, then came back and stated her manager told her that this location didn't accept offers because it's privately owned. Instead of the manager coming out and explaining this to us, they had the young girl tell us about it which was insult to injury. They didn't have any signage saying they didn't take part in online special offers or discounts. The food came and it was mediocre at best. The chips were stale and my burrito was cold. My friend ordered a chicken burrito and they still use the same terrible chicken they've always used. Seriously Tijuana Flats has the absolute worst chicken of any restaurant. I've had conversations with numerous people and we all agree the chicken they use does not taste good. We ordered 1 regular beef burrito, + 1 small queso, + 1 chicken burrito, + 1 Coke, + 1 iced tea = $32 + tip = ridiculous. I used to go to this location all the time, but they have gone downhill. Their prices have sky rocketed and their portions reduced. The menu no longer has power light options or wheat tortillas which are two reasons I liked to go here. To put a cherry on top when I left I had to go straight home and run inside the house and go to the bathroom. I barely made it. By the look of the lack of business this location has, and the small amount of customers that were dining here at the same time we were, (12-1pm on Friday), it seems as if other people are thinking some of the same things. Five stars for food, staff, and service. Downers are that the parking lot is difficult to get in and out of at a busy cross street and the lot itself gets overcrowded quickly. Of course, on Taco Tuesdays they get pretty crazy, so either come earlier or later than the normal eating times if you want to ensure a quicker meal. The parking lot is right at a super busy cross street and you have to be careful turning in to it from the other side of the road. The lot itself is a decent size overall, but doesn't hold the amount of car traffic they get during peak times, so traffic kinda circles around and it gets chaotic quickly. Staff here is super friendly and quick to get food out to tables. This is super helpful to turn tables over during busy times. Overall: A Super good just a tough location and parking lot. Just left here after a very disappointing and subpar experience. I ordered a cheese quesadilla, and there was barely any cheese inside of them. The cheese that was inside them was extremely dried up and crusted - almost as if they had this made already and just sitting under the heat lamp for hours. I ended up throwing most of it out. There were several dirty tables, and the staff at the front was busy playing on their phones instead of cleaning them up. I'm shocked this is labeled as a certified training store- they should train to actually fill the quesadilla instead of throwing a shell on the tray with dried up shredded cheese. Chicken is his meat of choice, all the fixings - lettuce, tomato, onions, jalapeño, etc. But his main attraction is the Hot Sauce bar with extremely mild and terribly hot sauces and every type in between. I always get my usual, which is a Mexican Pizza with blackened chicken and freen sauce. All in all for the two of us, it was less than $23. Perhaps a bit more expensive than some places, but certainly filling and fresh at all times. There is typically always enough open seats and the service is always top notch. Whomever is behind the counter is always confident in the menu, specials, pricing, etc. Once eating, the staff is always busy cooking in the kitchen. If they aren't doing that, there is someone cleaning the dining room, wiping off tables, and most importantly - asking guests if they need anything and always offer up refills. My boyfriend recently turned me on to Tijuana Flats. And I'm not completely sure why I wasn't into it sooner. Especially for a chain restaurant, Tijuana Flats really hits it out of the park--well-made, delicious AmeriMexican food combined with the type of attentive customer service that you'd usually only receive at a sit-down restaurant. More than likely when you walk in you'll be asked if you need to look over a menu, which contains a plethora of options. Don't anticipate a short menu with just the 3 basics (1. Tacos 2.Burritos and 3. Quesadillas). At Tijuana Flats, the basics are there plus chimichangas, flautas, and norritos, just to name a few. But so far I have to say that my personal favorites are the Bangin' Chicken Burrito (the Smack My Ass Bangin Chicken sauce is so good that my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it) and the Fish Tacos. As far as this particular Tijuana Flats location goes, it actually happens to be a standalone restaurant (as opposed to being located in a plaza) which is unique. The purple and yellow building definitely makes it hard to miss. Another benefit of the standalone location is the fact that this restaurant has both indoor and outdoor patio seating. I will point out, however, that the construction out in the Casselberry area may make it slightly difficult to figure out exactly where you need to turn in to get to this Tijuana Flats. But the one thing overall that really caught me off guard about this and all Tijuana Flats in general is the above average level of customer service. Although you place your order at the counter, servers bring your meal out to your table AND periodically check on you to make sure you don't need a drink refill, salsa, or anything else. That small thing is something I feel really makes your entire experience at Tijuana Flats. Somehow, it really makes you feel like the restaurant cares about you as a customer. And that is why I will be going back to Tijuana Flats in the very near future. read more

I ate here again last night for dinner. I got 2 hard tacos, one black bean and the other refried beans. They were delicious! Crunchy, fresh, mouth watering. Sweet tea was right on par as well. My complaint - a group of employees(2 girls and a guy in their late teens/early 20s) sat at the booth behind me (on break I assume) and the conversation went from annoying to down right inappropriate. I did not need to hear about this girl who works there's problem with latex condoms and how they make her burn. Completely inappropriate to be having that conversation in the dining room, especially when there were lots of small children around and people trying to eat. Management needs to pay more attention. This is the third or fourth time I've had this happen with their employees hanging out in the dining room while on break, but the first time I almost lost my appetite from it. read more

While the food is great at any TF, I had the best customer experience of my life at the Casselberry location. I once picked up an online order and foolishly forgot to check it before driving 25 minutes home. I realized that my order had dairy, which I am highly sensitive to. I wasn't upset - mistakes happen! But, I called to let them know just so they were aware. I told them I didn't want a refund, I lived a bit far away so I didn't want to drive back, I just wanted to give them a heads-up. They didn't offer me credit, they didn't offer a refund - they INSISTED on bringing me the correct order. Mind you, it was an hour until close, dark, and raining. After a bit of back-and-forth, I guiltily gave them my info and the manager cheerfully told me they'd have it to me ASAP. I expected the employee tasked with delivering my order to be less than thrilled about having to drive 25 minutes in the rain to deliver a bowl of beans and rice, but he was extremely friendly (and by some miracle, able to find my apartment building quickly when no GPS in existence ever gives proper instructions). Even though there are at least 3 other TFs within 10 minutes of my neighborhood, I always return to this location and give an extra tip because of this experience. read more

I'm guessing this guy is new since the back of his shirt said trainee or trainer I just glanced at it on the first of my three stops in the drive thru to pick up my online order. First of all, I was there 30 mins before the closing time for a ToGo order, so do keep that in kind before reading the rest of the review. I am a huge fan of Taco Tuesdays and tijuana flats. Been to numerous Tflats but my experience at this Tflats was dissapointing and non satisfactory. The server/hostess looked like she hated her life and wanted to quit. No smile or welcome. In fact, she had a grumpy face and annoyance in her attitude. The tacos were soggy (note, it's a 5 min drive to my house, hence "togo" should not a reason for it) and we're half empty. I have been to other Tflats a minute before closing time and have had better service. I do believe that it may be due to closing time and hence I will definitely give them another shot. But keep in mind, DO NOT GO HERE 30 MINS BEFORE CLOSING TIME, the servers will crush you with their horrifying stares. P.s. the manager did approach us with a pleasant smile. read more
