Tijuana Flats is currently "the spot" for my girls and I besides our Ale House tradition. I love the beef tostadas. They are loaded with fresh toppings and it just hits the spot. They have a hot sauce bar with a ton of different sauces ranging from sweet to FIRE. & let me warn you now: the fire sauce is black (that should be a sign right there since hot sauce is red) and gave me an instant heart burn, stomach ache, eye watering effect. Not good for me, but good for all you spicy hot loving daredevils. Overall, the atmosphere is awesome (love the paintings on the walls) and the staff are very friendly. Give it a try :) read more

Let me start this review with the good stuff. The place is clean and has a nice vibe. The staff is amazing. Very helpful attentive and polite. As for the food the cheese and nachos are delicious. The sauce bar is pretty cool and they have lots of options. The ingredients are all pretty fresh. The down side all the things we tried has minimal amounts of meat and ingredients. To say the least we got mostly tortilla in each bite and really nothing else. Really wanted to like this place more since it's a two minute drive but not sure I would go back for the things we tried. Unfortunately I will NEVER be going back to this dirty location. I went in last Friday night to grab tacos early with my daughter, and then grab yogurt next door and just have an early evening. I went in at 6 the place was empty, and had a little bit of a musty smell. Which usually the place is really crowded. Outside said hiring for a manager. Hmmm something had to be off. Anyhow, I ordered my usual chicken tacos, along with their really good queso dip. I also was starving why I went in so early. The tacos come out and on top is the longest hair I have ever seen on a food. I immediately said I do not want it take it back. I asked for a new order hoping they would bring me new ones you never know they could just go in the back and remove the hair and bring you the same one. I then though am I crazy !!! Why would I even want new ones this place is obviously filthy no one in the back is wearing a hair net. No one possibly could have a hair that long if their hair was tied back in a ponytail. The manger super young came out was really nice and just refunded me. Still I cannot eat in a dirty and filthy establishment. read more

The servers are always so sweet and friendly. They are super nice to my 2 year old every time we go in and someone ALWAYS comes to our table to check on everything. I love this place, although I have gotten annoyed when they mess up my order when I order on Uber eats. They almost always forget a topping on a burrito, and had a horrible experience once on Uber eats where I ordered a quesadilla and literally nothing came on it except the chicken and literally almost no cheese, which defeats the point of a quesadilla. All my toppings were missing. That was one time however that it was that badly messed up, and all my other experiences have been good in person. It made my day yesterday to see that a Tijuana Flats opened just a few minutes from home. I tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago during a trip to Orlando and was craving some more! This is definitely the definition of Tex-Mex GRUB. Don't come here if you're going to nit-pick about it not being "authentic" Mexican food, because it's not, but it's delicious none the less. Everyone was very nice, from the girl who opened the door for us and suggested flautas (I took her up on her suggestion - yummy indeed), to the girls at the cash register. They were thorough in ensuring that they got the order right and once everything was at the table, we were checked on a couple times and even stopped from getting our own refill. Someone quickly came over and took care of it for us. The place was tidy, dirty baskets were quickly cleared up, and I saw a couple trainers on the floor who were quick to catch any mistakes the new staff made and correct them. It's comforting to see that they're keeping a watchful eye on that since most of us have experienced our own fair share of chain restaurant nightmares. The only thing that I find a bit awkward is that once you order, there's nowhere to leave the menu (same thing happened in Orlando). It's not a big deal, but it may be a good idea to have somewhere to leave them once we're done ordering. Overall though, Tijuana Flats is a fun place to hang out and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys casual Tex-Mex food. read more

I went for their Taco Tuesday's and absolutely loved it! Dos (2) tacos, chips & a drink for $5! I order the steak taco and a beef taco. The food was seasoned perfectly and the steak was tender and surprisingly very good. Their chips were fresh and the portions (tacos included) were huge for the price. Nice casual restaurant. Walk up ordering went relatively smooth. We had a group of 13 (including 6 tired little ones) and they quickly put together seating for us. Don't be mistaken food was great like it always is ,but the night manager (whoever he/she was since I didn't see them or they had the decency to come and apologize in person) needs his staff to get a customer service training. I went there for dinner with my son to relax. I usually go at lunch and I have never encountered what I did tonight. The cashier that "helped me" NEEDS an extensive Customer service training among other things. First the girl had the attitude of an entitled, arrogant bratt. Like she was doing me a favor and I was wasting her precious time. Then while I was ordering my food someone came and asked for a refill well she leaves me in mid sentence while I am still ordering. As this happen I stare at her in shocked like what is she doing. She sees me and said "Oh keep going I got it". Well let me tell you "she didn't get it" . My name was wrong ,my order was wrong and I was missing items. Then the girl serving me the food is doing it at the speed of lightning . She asked what I ordered then leaves or "speed walks" away as soon as I said the correct items without me being able to say another word. I was left thinking what just happened. Then she come and said really fast If I wanted the tacos (Which was the wrong order they brought) to go. I just stared at her because again she came out of nowhere without a simple hi ,sorry ,excuse me or anything close to a way of addressing a paying customer. Of course she speeds walks away again with me not able to say anything. I write this to make the manager aware his night crew and himself . As I got no apologies from any of them including him to say hey I am so sorry and try to make up for their service. I am a Very disappointed customer and I am usually a understanding person , but today they were just plain Rude. The chips were great and the quest was liquid gold. While the tacos were big...two fish tacos and a small cup of refried beans and rice was about $14.00. They have a large variety of taco sauces and salsas to choose from. This location has indoor and outdoor seating, big indoor area, and is pretty busy most of the time. Staff is always friendly. I think it is okay for Tex-Mex. I am more of a fan of authentic Mexican food. Three stars because of price. I don't eat meat so it limits my taco options. read more
