My friend turned me on to Tijuana Flats and it has become our Taco Tuesday dinner spot! So they have this great deal for $5.99 you get 2 tacos; chicken, beef, steak, fish. You also get fresh tortilla chips and a drink. You can also upgrade to a draft beer for a $1 more. How awesome is that??? I've been getting their Mango IPA which is delicious. I've tried their Chipotle & Blackened Chicken and their fish. Both chicken tacos are flavorful but I prefer the blackened. The fish is lightly fried but tasty. The Tacos come with lettuce, tomato, onions, jalapenos, cheese & sour cream. You can omit any if you like. They sell guacamole on the side for a couple dollars more. Now the fun part... their hot sauce station! I Love hot sauce so this for me is like a kid going to Disney World! They have more or less 15-20 different types of hot sauce depends on Tijuana Flats location but they range from Mild to why did I just try that I want to chop off my tongue hot. Yup, a little bit of everything for everyone's taste. My friend and I love going and trying different sauce and mixing them together to see what they create, so much fun! I know... we are taco nerds! The different locations are all lively inside and decorated with bright colors some have graffiti style art work, very casual but lively ambiance. Best part is the customer service, the staff is always friendly and look like they like their job. If I'm not mistaken the staff rotates their job duties meaning everyone is equal. everyone cooks, everyone works the cashier, everyone serves etc... I love the fact that Tijuana Flats has deals throughout the week. Of course my favorite deals are Taco Tuesdaze and Throwback Thursdaze. You can't go wrong with either two tacos chips and drink or burrito chips and drink for $5.99. For lunch or dinner that is a steal. At my office we order there two to three times a month. Tijuana Flats delivery and pick up super is super fast and efficient. They get their customers in and out. I also love going there because they make sure your order is correct by even making sure they get the special instructions correct for each order every time. I'm big on spices so I love their hot bar. The habanero sauce is amazing and so is the Sweet Georgia Peach. My only thing I wish they can change is them adding either pico de Gallo or queso with the specials. Overall great prices for great food! read more

Really good professional service. I had the beef chimichanga and churros. Their churros are SOOO good with the strawberry sauce they use. I walk by this particular location all the time since it's in a plaza that I frequent, but have only eaten here a handful of times. The place is usually empty, but food is good and pretty cheap. On Tuesday it apparently becomes a mad house as everyone and their mother (literally) is there for Taco Tuesday. When it was finally time to order (the line moved pretty quickly) I went ahead and got one beef and one chicken - and I appreciated the option between flour tortillas and wheat. The bf got two carnitas ($1 upcharge for carnitas or steak). Taco Tuesday is $4.99 for two tacos, chips and a drink. You'll need to order salsa/queso/guac separately for the chips. But I managed to get enough hot sauces from the hot sauce bar to make myself some kind of free salsa/dip for the chips lol. All in all, the food is ok. You would walk up to the counter, order and pay for your orders there. Then you find a table and sit wherever you like. Its a bit different than what I am used to, but other than placing the order by yourself, which was no big deal, the service was pretty good. So, hearing all the positive reviews on Tijuana Flats, I decided to make a trip to see what all this hype was about. After ordering my burrito, which is similar to the ordering process at Lime and Salsa Fiesta, I headed to the hot sauce bar to try a few samples. The two that I chose, I did not like at all, one was way to tangy and the other was way to sweet. I ended up ordering a healthier burrito version, with re fried beans, lite cheese and grilled chicken. I was really excited to try my burrito, mainly because I was starving, but was sorely disappointed as soon as I took the first bite. It wasn't that it was bad, it was just way to soggy. The tortilla was almost all soaked and it was a pretty messy experience. The burritos all bring a side of tortilla chips that are really good, this was the best part of my meal. Besides the okay burritos, the place does have great service, and I really appreciated their efforts to make sure our dining experience was a pleasant one. I have to give Tijuana Flats MAJOR props! I love what you've got going on... I have some strict dietary restrictions due to food sensitivities, as well as some moral/ethical preferences, and it really limits where I can eat. Thankfully, Tijuana Flats is a great standby to have. I really try not to eat out but somehow we end up eating at Tijuana Flats at least once a week. They take so much pride in the quality of the product they serve - hormone free meat, grass fed beef.... the vegetable used are always fresh, and crisp. Eating at TF is always a pleasure, not just because of the food - but because of the service. I could rave endlessly about the staff! Even though you order at the counter, and don't really have a designated server, the team members are always circling through the dining room and patio clearing dirty empty plates, checking if anyone needs drink refills, and asking how everyone's doing. Everyone is always so upbeat, and they seem genuinely happy to work there, and are beyond helpful! I love watching them so efficiently greet obviously-new-customers and walk them through what they serve, and how to order. This is really a top notch establishment! read more

As far as fast food mexican goes this place is great! The food is surprisingly fresh and the staff is very friendly. Tijuana has a large hot sauce bar so you can try many varieties or even mix them all together( that is if you are daring enough). A couple of great aspects of this business is that their restaurant is closed on all holidays so the staff can enjoy a day off with their families and they are constantly donating to charity, this month if you buy their Share the Love Hot sauce they donte $3 of the $5 purchase to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I was quite disappointed with Tijuana Flats. And the main disappointment came from a huge lack of flavor. We started with chips and guacamole as well as queso. The guacamole was very fresh and filled with onion and tomato, but there was absolutely no seasoning. It was in desperate need of salt and cilantro. The queso was equally disappointing in that it tasted like jarred nacho processed cheese they had attempted to doctor-up with jalapeños. It was a solid try that didn't succeed. The chips were also lacking salt and were soggy in some areas. I ordered the blackened chicken enchiladas and was happy with the portion size and that corn tortillas were used. The chicken was delicious but the verde sauce used on the top was seriously lacking. It was topped with tomatoes, onions and lettuce and thankfully I had ordered a small side of salsa which I quickly added ontop to amp up the lack of flavors. The salsa was definitely the highlight of the dish. It sounds like Tijuana Flats has a really great Taco Tuesday that might be worth checking out and I will probably be willing to indulge my love of tacos. I went here last night because I was craving tacos! Tijuana Flats is by far one of my favorite tacos places to go. The salsa is so ridiculously good it should be a sin. I do want to say that though I am always impressed with the quality of food and service (and I was last night as well) I was very disappointed that I ordered chips and salsa and I guess the server heard me as saying "small salsa" so I received my tacos, a container of salsa and like 10 chips. I didn't realize it until I had already gotten home and it's really not a huge deal but when you're craving something and thought the order was right only to find it wasn't too late. It was just a total bummer. I'll definitely be back - I'll just double check my order next time! EDIT - I'm on a taco Tuesday EVERY day this week. YEP I SAID IT. We were looking for a fast casual meal near our hotel and saw Tijuana Flats on both Yelp and our map. What a find. Not only was the food good, but the staff was amazing. Without any trouble, we were able to order around my son's dairy allergy. They brought him a deconstructed refried bean burrito, which he really liked! As I was bringing my tray in to ask for a to go box and lids for my guacamole and queso (he seemed to be the manager) filled up my guacamole and queso and gave me a fresh bag of chips. Casual, quick, and pretty good. This is not the place to go for top quality Mexican, but it is the place for quick good food, better than any of the fast food places around. Dine in service is better than take out because the waitresses keep coming around to refill your soda, make sure everything is good, and get you anything you need. I love the banging chicken burrito, with a side of queso! There are also specials a couple times a week including dollar tacos. They do have a beer license, so coronas are available. My first time here. Taco Bell style mexican. Menu is kinda confusing. I ordered a steak burrito, which had a few small pieces of steak and the rest was filled with salad and rice. The second I picked up the burrito It felt very light in weight...A lot of the tortilla was rolled into the burrito, so every time I took a bite of the burrito, I was chewing a lot dough.
