I placed an order online. Turns out I accidently used one of those sites that charge fees, and they didn't even give me the Taco Tuesdaze deals. After repeated attempts to reach them to cancel, I reached out to the store where the general manager, Carrie, helped me out. She was AMAZING! Even though they were busy she took the time to listen and patiently worked through my issue. That's real customer service! The issue was resolved and we got our meal. I've always had a great experience with the staff at this Lake Worth location, and once again I was pleased. Of course, our meal was delicious! I do love the sauces and pretty much everything in the menu. One complaint. We have gone to Taco Tuesday a few times now and have had to stop. The tacos are stale. The only reason that happened was A: the restaurant was empty; and, B: I asked the cashier/manager how I might improve the bird's salad experience. They agreed it was skimpy and in-turn prepared the whole order themselves -- "hooking-up" the salad to the best of their ability and in short-order. There are many options to choose from to order curbside meals these days. So on Cinco de mayo, also TacoTuesday it seemed like a great idea to order from Tijuana Flats. Wow was that a mistake! I ordered online, said food would be ready in 30 minutes, call when you get to parking lot and we will bring food to you the online response said once order was placed and paid for.. But an hour later I was still waiting...along with a whole crowd of people. Apparently tijuana flats could not handle the volume of orders. I called when i got to parking lot as instructed but They were not answering their phones. Finally a tijuana server started making rounds telling people to be patient, food was being prepared. I asked to cancel my order and was told I could only do that if I spoke to a manager but that was not possible because I was told all managers were cooking to meet the demand of orders. Really??? They had no idea there would be high volumes of orders on taco Tuesday and Cinco de mayo. I waited for 1.5 hours and finally received my order. The girl handed me my order of 4 entrees. Where were the drinks??? Oh she forgot them. I waited for the drinks. She brought 3...I had ordered 4. I will be not be ordering from here anytime soon. read more

Let me start w the good- nice people and good service. BUT, my goodness, the food was not hot, had no flavor, the tortilla chips were not even up to the level of bags you can buy at a grocery store. I came to this location a couple of times and everything went relatively smoothly although the attitude behind the counter is always less than enthusiastic, which is cool. I'm in the food service industry myself and I completely understand when you're busy you don't really have time to be as courteous as usual. Yesterday night at about 7 I called in an order via telephone under my boyfriends name "Ty" and I asked about the price for the trio. advised by a very polite rep named Angelica who was more than cordial, very sweet and helpful... had great phone etiquette, that "if I download their app I would get my trio for free and not have to pay for it"'. I advised her "great I'm going to do that right now!" and she told me she would see me soon. We hung up. Not even thinking twice, I placed the order through the app. Paid. I got to thinking that she never really said she would cancel the other order. I called back instantly after I ordered and Angelica answered and I asked if she cancelled my order because I placed it through the app. She seemed confused. I told he I just don't want the food to be double made, I JUST placed the online order so cancel the phone order in the system and use the food for my online order. She was like "I gotcha makes sense hold on one second and let me figure out how to do that". Placed on hold. A different person comes back into the phone about 2 minutes later and says "thank you for calling Tijuana Flats how can I help you" "nope I'm okay just holding for Angelica I've already been helped, thank you" "..... yeah I know, so do you want both orders or WHAT?" "No. I was advised to place the order online to get the promotional Trio for free. I told her I was going to do that and I assumed that she would cancel the phone order... it's not can-" "NO NO NO, she she told you THE NEXT TIME YOU ORDER, to go online and you will not have to pay" "Ma'am the words next time we're never used and I told her I was going to jump on and do that" "Well the food is already made.... so" "There's no way it's already made....it's been two minutes and I'm only paying for the online order.... I'm am not paying for the phone order. Are you OKAY ma'am?!" The bitch hung up on me... so my food comes out and it says Ty on it and by this point I'm furious. I said this is the wrong order it was an online order under "Jade". She leaves comes back "yeah the order was changed and the online order was never made." "No. The manager on the phone told me the second order was made. This is the order I cancelled. Are you sure?" "Yes" I then explained to that employee what just went down, and I won't name her, but she goes "ohhh.... was it the LADY manager or the man... *lowers her voice* the lady is a real bitch" So the manager fucking lied. Both orders were never made, she shamed me for following through with the employees suggestion in a very unprofessional and uncomfortable way....and then made a big deal about the food already being made IN TWO MINUTES when all in all, they never made it....so what was the problem? It was so uncalled for management to handle a situation like this and just totally turned me off to this location. It was a small miscommunication and I tried to fix it. And the employees were great just trying to help me out... and they also seem to be well aware of this bratty manager's unprofessional tendancies. But if this is how management is during times of SLIGHT stress then they need to seriously consider some sort of counseling for this one or keep her ass in the back office away from customers. My husband and I go in just about every Tuesday for you guessed it...Taco Tuesday! We just moved to the area about 3months ago and the staff and service at this location is never disappointing. Food is obviously delicious, otherwise we wouldn't go back. My husband loves the quesadilla, but kind of creates his own. He also loves the burrito and I have to second that! The tacos are my favorite thing on the menu, but I've tried a good portion of the options they have and have never been disappointed. Love the self serve hot sauce bar! read more

Have been really disappointed with this place lately. We typically order once a week, mainly take out. The last few times when ordering chicken quesadillas there was literally no chicken in them. And this is a $7 menu item! Last time we asked for no cheese and when we got the items home there was a ton of cheese on the food. We had to drive back to the restaurant and get a replacement but not once did they offer to replace the meal for free and charged us the full amount. I will likely continue to eat here because the food is good (when properly prepared) and the choice of hot sauces is great but I hope management are reading this and can rectify the problem. I don't know if I went on a bad night but before we left my 11-year-old niece was complaining about a stomachache. By the time I got home my girlfriend was sick and throwing up. Terrific staff and pretty darn good food. First came here on the recommendation of my sister, and we've been back a few times now. Everyone bends over backwards to help you out, and the first time we came here, the cashier who took our order brought us out a huge basket of chips with one of their signature salsas to try just for being first-time customers. went for taco tuesday. i am longtime fan of moes and hoping for something similar. food was just alright to me, had a distinct taste to the chips and shells that i didnt like. on the plus side good portiin of meat. the staff and service was excellent and they went above and beyond, but i dont like the concept. u only get a couple toppings and they dont make in front of u, but u have to go up and order and they walk around calling ur name. u also cANT MAke ur own drink, but they ask to refill. store is cleam and ton of employees. read more

I love this place! Think of this place as your REAL Taco Bell! If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place for you. But if you think of this place like Taco Bell but with fresh meats you're going to love this food. They have tons of different kinds of hot sauces. Great new taco shop I encountered. Not knowing anything about this place, I stopped by on a tuesday. Apparently its "Taco Tuesday" which is 2 tacos, chips, and a drink for $5. This is a big night for them as the line was literally out the door. It took 20 minutes to order. People in front of us decided to order on their phones and pickup at the takeway line which was much quicker. Lesson learned. The interior of this place was bright and fun. They have a large hot sauce bar which was cool. I actually just wanted some not burning hot salsa and that was nowhere to be found. I guess you need to order it. (and pay for it) I found it strange is that they fill your drinks versus a self serve option. This most definitively slowed down the line. They also were out of straws which is minor, but how does that happen?! After ordering, you sit down and they come find you to deliver the food. That part was quick. The food was hot and fresh. The tacos are pretty big and 2 was enough for me. You can also upgrade to Steak or Chicken for $1 more total on tuesday. Any other day and this place would not have been as good as a deal. I also don't appreciate not being able to add a single taco, everything is a combo or pairs. The food runners came back to check on us, refill our drinks, and offered more chips. Very nice. Also the manager stopped by to give some info about the company. These places are not franchises and after looking them up, I see they are everywhere. They have a very cool website, although this location was not listed on there. I did drop them an email and they fixed it right away. I'll definitely be back to try some new things. I've ordered food to go a few times, but this was my first time dining in. The service we received was beyond generous! Since it was my dad's first time eating here, they gave us free chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole. Numerous people checked-in with us to make sure that the food was okay and to see if we needed a refill on drinks. We wanted to pack the chips to go, so they gave us a fresh order of chips as well as sauces to take home. I am really impressed with the service and the food was very fresh, too! The service we received definitely made this dining experience memorable. Also, their hot sauce bar is so cool!
