Casa Linda offers a wide variety of menu and I got the impression that they wanted to appease everyone without really understanding what it is that they were really good at. On the menu, they have Mexican, Spanish, Cuban, Colombian, and American food. The food I ordered when I was there didn't leave a great impression that I forgot the name of it. The prices seem reasonable, on the cheaper side, and the portions were generous. The flavor wasn't bad, i ate some of it but I didn't know what it was supposed to taste like. It didn't have identity, like the dish didn't know if it wanted to be savory, cheesy, or creamy. Overall, this Mexican restaurant was just okay with some highs and lows. The food, for the most part, was good. The Churrasco steak was actually really good--well seasoned and cooked nicely, definitely the highlight of the meal. The Mexican pizza was a hit for my son, he loved it. That said, there were some misses. The kids' hamburgers came out burnt and had to be redone, which was disappointing. The French fries also didn't seem fresh. Everything else we ordered was fine and enjoyable. Our server for a large party did a great job with splitting checks and remembering each meals along with topping off drinks. The inside of the restaurant could really use some attention. It looks a bit rundown, the tables were a little dirty, and the silverware wasn't clean, which took away from the experience. With some improvements to cleanliness, a refresh to the space, and more consistency in the kitchen, this place could easily be better. Well, we missed margarita Wednesdays ($2.99), but we had a very good lunch here anyway. They were still quite busy when we stopped by at 1ish. The restaurant isn't in the Boynton mall, but in a strip of places just south. There's parking right out front. They delivered warm chips and two types of salsa -- one hot -- to the table. These were good. My husband got the taco salad with ground beef. He liked it -- ate every bit! I had their ceviche appetizer. It's shrimp, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro in a citrus marinade. Plus sliced fresh avocado on top. I'm used to it a bit sweeter than acidic (sone places add ketchup), so I added a packet of Splenda. It was delicious. Lunch today while running errands in Boynton and found this restaurant on our bookmarked places. It is on BOYTON MALL ROAD, NOT INSIDE THE MALL. So this was a Thursday and of course the $2.99 House Margarita Special is only offered on Wednesdays. (Next time we'll plan our arrival to take advantage!) Parking spaces are available in front but they are parallel spots. Service was very good and our orders were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Great little find for an inexpensive Mexican dinner with family. Two people shared the fajitas which had a great taste but not too much chicken and beef. We ordered the hand made corn tortillas. They tasted good but were a bit too thick. Also ordered a tamales to start and guacamole. Both were good, portions were a little small but taste was great. Finally was able to try this place out and I am now disappointed that we haven't tried it sooner. We came for a friend's birthday dinner party and had such a great time. The Margaritas were on point, the food was delicious and service was great. I had the Tamales Dinner which was very good, came with rice and refried beans, my son had the Mexican pizza which was sooo good, definitely ordering it again the next time. The strip mall was under construction, there was plenty of free parking, but it was a little tricky finding the restaurant. At 5:30 on a Wednesday, Casa Linda was busy. We were seated in a comfortable booth and warm fresh chips came quickly with both a mild and spicy salsa. We started with frozen margaritas with mango & prickly pear flavors. They were cheap, large, plentiful and delicious. I ordered shrimp quesadillas, and my husband a taco combo plate. I enjoyed my quesadilla with salsa & guac. I was going to give them a 3 rating but when we left, I noticed how poorly lit the parking lot was so I'm giving them a 2 instead. I found the food to be very bland and this was even after putting salsa on it. The spicy salsa I didn't find to be that spicy and both the spicy and non-spicy sauces didn't taste well to put it bluntly. Further, we were there for the $2.99 margarita special and for $.50 more you can get a flavored margarita. I had two mango margaritas and it seemed like there was hardly any alcohol in them. I felt just sober after my second drink as I did prior to my first drink. My taco combo main course also was nothing special and again bland, even after putting salsa on it. The food is very good. There is construction in the plaza but still plenty of parking. The food is very tasty. I tried the horchata water and returned it. The horchata has an odd aftertaste. Nachos and accompanying sauce were great. My daughter ordered the carnitas platter. The pork was cooked well and perfectly seasoned. Just a bit is spice. Just a couple of negative comments. Let's start with the positive, Wednesday is $2.99 margarita night. So if you are looking to just go for an app and drinks then that is your place. We arrived and it was very busy, we were expecting something great since it was so packed! It was just about the drinks. We got the veggie enchiladas and the casa Linda combo, came with one chicken enchilada, one bean tosada, and one beef taco... rice and beans with both. Unfortunately we both couldn't find anything positive, besides the rice and beans. The actual meal was inedible. The veggie enchilada we shared since it was just cheese and spinach. The service wasn't very attentive and when it was it was "anything else" over and over we felt very rushed. Mostly due to no tables with the promo. Everything cost extra we asked for sour cream, $1. She seemed to be the only server and it took 20 mins after seating to even get chips and salsa. My partner ordered the fish in garlic sauce. It had so much potential but the fillet was very bland. I was there for dinner and sat at the bar. There were two young girls serving. I asked one of the girls, are you able to serve a beer? Her response. I wouldn't be back here if I couldn't. So I ordered a beer, which she poured in to the glass, and half of the beer foamed over, all over the bar, the other half was still foam in the glass. She said can you drink some of this down so I can pour the rest of it in? It was all foam, how does anyone drink foam? So clearly you should NOT be behind the bar. Horrible experience! read more

It was slightly hard to find as the strip mall is under construction and the signs on the building facade have been removed for the most part. Once we found our way in, we entered a bustling restaurant. We grabbed a booth and our lovely waitress immediately got us drinks and a min later the hot tortilla chips and salsa arrived. Good so far. We ordered two plates and they arrived in 15 mins and were fresh and hot. Both my wife and I enjoyed our choices and the service was spot on and always with a smile. But the only entrees I really enjoyed is their different chicken platters. Anytime I try a burrito or chimmichanga or taco its pretty bland. Was craving Mexican and was away from my usual suspects so I gave this one a shot. When you walk in you get the authentic look of a good Mexican spot, only soccer playing in Spanish and plenty of Mexican memorabilia on the walls. Our waitress Vanessa was attentive and polite throughout the entire time and gave a great recommendation for what to eat. I am not sure what is happening at Casa Linda. Went back last week for tacos and it was a joke. The tacos were a mess and nothing in them. I questioned it and got an attitude. I ordered extra salsa for my meal ( they charge you extra for everything). I ended up wanting to leave as the experience was terrible. The server took the tacos off the bill and left the salsa on.
