I don't give out many 5-stars and generally wouldn't consider it for a fast-food place, but, this place rocks! First, was the service. The two young ladies who helped us were very, very professional, polite and attentive...something you don't find amongst the really younger servers these days. I hate to say it but, these young women were EXCELLENT servers. This was in Mid-October, right after the main lunch rush. I can't get it out of my mind, how professional and helpful these young ladies were. The food? Wow, I was impressed. For fast food? It was nice and warm and fresh and best of all, it WAS GOOD! I dig this Tijuana Flats...clean, friendly service, good food. I was glad when they opened this location, as the next closest one to me is all the way in Lake Mary. Really my only complaint is that it's hard to get in to the parking lot if you're on the opposite side of the street. You have to turn in to the plaza next door and drive through their parking lot. Kind of a pain. If you're not familiar with Tijuana Flats, it's a Tex-Mex chain that started in Central Florida 15 to 20 years ago and has now spread throughout the country. If you live in the Orlando area, then it's safe to say you've been to a Tijuana Flats...they're pretty popular round here. Seriously, I don't think I've ever met anyone who doesn't like Tijuana Flats. But what's not to like? It's yummy food at a cheaper price...can't go wrong with that! One of the things they're known for is the hot sauce bar. There are several of different heat levels to choose from, and most have clever, yet raunchy names. My personal favorite is the Smack My Ass Jalepeno. Make sure to stop by on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesday...you get two tacos, chips and a drink for $4.99. Great deal! read more

I love this place. It's clean, it's well organized, and the customer service is out of this world. The Smack My Ass And Call Me Sally habanero sauce is the ace in the hole at every Tijuana Flats. I really love everything I've had here, including the black bean burrito today (see pic). What sets this Flats apart from the other ones that I've been to is the customer service. Everyone is extremely pleasant, from the greeter to the cashiers to the people walking around refilling your drink to the manager walking around checking that everything is up to your expectations. It really is great experience to get your burrito/taco/flauta/chimichanga fix here. The churros rock too, fyi. read more

First time at this location and second time in a TF. I like the fact that their burritos have set ingredients I don't have to pick and choose, it's all there. All there and fresh tasting. A good just right combination of ingredients. The only real choice to make is chicken, ground beef or steak. This particular time I had the chicken which is their signature flavor. Which ever you choose I am sure the combination will be pleasantly flavorful. The young lady taking my order had a nice smile and pleasant friendly attitude. I than took a seat and within a short time my burrito was delivered to my table along with fresh chips and salsa. I will say the optional salsa is rather small. The cup it is served in is small and deep and impossible to get a good amount on a chip. The entire staff that I made contact with that day was extremely friendly and energetic with a desire to fo fill the patrons needs. While in this area of Orange City I will visit again. This is my most favorite restaurant in the known universe, hands down. Not to mention it's fairly close to my home. I can't get enough and my family and I literally eat here twice a week. I know every time I can expect the most crisp and fresh tacos money can buy. Not to mention the chips and queso are to die for. My friends, family and I can consistently count on impeccable service each and every time dining here. I can honestly say that I've never had a problem with the food or service and I think that says a lot. The management team should definitely be commended. This also can be said for the Daytona Beach location, correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard these two locations are owned/operated by the same people? This is my "yasss girl" place! I love Tijuana Flat's. Everything they make is delicious. The service is fast. Their prices are fair. Their queso is delicious and so is the guac! I usually get their dos tacos (beef is my fave). They have a special for it on Tuesdays. I love that they celebrate moms on mothers day, dads on fathers day etc etc. They do serve beer which is nice if you need that extra touch with your Mexican like me :) read more

(( Today.. was Not so, )) wife's Quesadilla, the produce was old, wilted and soggy and the steak inside was BURNED on one side, My Chimichanga was very salty, but passable until I was shocked with a large CRUNCH in my Chimi. Good, fresh food...I got a fish norito bowl special (call me slow, but it had to be pointed out to me that "norito" means "no burrito"). They have a salsa bar with a good selection to choose from, including a mango salsa that went great with the fish. I also really enjoyed their refreshing, slushy sangria. The walls are covered with bright, graffiti artwork and the music was not too loud. We bring our dog sometimes and eat at the outside tables (there are only two high tops). They are very accommodating and always are quick to bring a water bowl for the doggo. read more

Look, TF is what it has always been. Inexpensive extensive tex-mex menu. Good food fast. Lots of flavor, freshly prepared, good ingredients, excellent service and OMG the hot sauces. Its very very casual, simple beer and wine, mostly wear your flip flops, t shirt and eat with your fingers. But the Orange City location is especially great. A very clean and comfortable restaurant with the most friendly staff imaginable. If Betsy is there (and she usually is) ask her about the specials, the preparations and even catering for your party. She's wonderful and makes the place a joy. So if you're in the OC (Orange City) skip the burger joints that dot the landscape and go see Betsy for something better. These restaurants are fun. They have really loud colors and murals on the wall. The seating is booth style, square top tables, or high rise round tables. They serve cold beer. There is a hot sauce bar jam packed with sauces from the mildest to the deadliest. The sauces are rated on a smiley face system. You can also buy hot sauce by the bottle. They offer three sizes of burritos. The mega juana being their largest. It's large and in charge. It's a good South Western restaurant. The service is great and the managers are always walking around checking on you. This location is smaller than some of my more frequented locations, but still does a great job none-the-less. Mmm...Burritos. I recommend a chicken and black bean burrito, wet with Chipotle sauce. read more

One thing that I love about T Flats is that they are always consistent no matter what location you go too. I usually go on Tuesdays with my friends for taco Tuezday and although the line is usually out the door they bust through the line like it's nothing. Tijuana Flats is pretty consistently Tex Mex no matter which location you visit. Their food tastes good, they have massive portions, and the prices are reasonable for a quick service restaurant. This location is often busy, catering to the post-sports games crowds and families grabbing a bit to eat during the week. Staff here is consistently friendly and helpful.... the sort that anticipate the needs of the uninitiated but still warm and welcoming to the old pros of the TF concept. My only issue is that I feel like the portions of carnitas on the nachos have gone down over the years. When we used to go to the Casselberry location 10 years ago, before TF grew to what it is today, the nachos were a sizeable portion, generous enough to share with two. Now, the dish and the chips are still super generous, but the chips with a decent portion of meat/cheese have gone way down. I get food costs (especially pork) have gone up since then, but for the price, I'd like the option of getting half the chips but twice the meat/cheese. read more

This is a great chain of Tex-mex. probably eat here at least fortnightly if not more often. Tuesday's get dos tacos and Thursday get a burrito. However if it's not a deal day and your location has it (this one does) get the steak street tacos. They are awesome tacos on corn with feta cheese. read more
