For Baltimore, this is as good as it gets. The place is "a hole in the wall". Nothing to jump up and down about as far as atmosphere - as a matter of fact, it kinda drives me nuts that they play music and the telemundo tv at the same time...yikes! But I don't go there for the atmosphere, I go there for the authentic Mexican food. I do not eat meat, so it's sometimes difficult to find a kick-butt Mexican restaurant. I've tried just about everything that doesn't have meat in it and it's great!!!! Fresh and properly prepared. I had such high expectations from all of the positive reviews from friends, and unfortunately I was let down.

Every SINGLE time we order from here we are blown away. It has become our go to when we want to order and we can't decide where to order from. My boyfriend always gets the chimichanga. He loves it. He says it's the best one he's gotten and that's what he always gets. I have gotten carne asada salada, fajitas, side of rice and beans, and a few other things. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. The salad impressed me the most. It was fresh, crisp, and came with lots of fresh limes and radish. I didn't even use any dressing and I finished it for breakfast the next day, it was that good. The tres leches cake is moist and delicious for desert. Do not be afraid of their ridiculously low prices. Their food does not disappoint. Give them a try! read more

Some items on the menu are hits and some are total misses. I got the camaron burrito (shrimp) and it was a total miss. 3/4 of the burrito was lettuce. Only a bit of shrimp and beans and then some cheese that I've never had in a camaron burrito. The cheese was so tough and rubbery that I just took it out. Not like any good burrito I've ever had. However, the pollo loco tostada I ordered was very good and flavorful. Meat was a bit dry but still flavorful. Friend got the regular chilaquiles with red sauce--it was a huge portion and looked and tasted really good. She also got chorizo taco which she said was good. Bf who was born and raised in San Diego said tacos (al pastor and carne asada) weren't great, were similar or slightly worse than tortilleria sinaloa in Baltimore. Finally, the tres leches was good. I'm not well versed in tres leches but it was very decadent and sweet. Restaurant is small and had no air conditioning (we came in July)--we didn't mind but we were sweating a lot by the end of our meal. A bit pricier than it's worth, to be honest. Paid $32 for a terrible burrito, one tostada, 3 tacos and a tres leche (including tax and tip). Overall, would return for some of the items and would be more careful about what I order. If I wanted tacos, I'd honestly just go to tortilleria sinaloa, but would come here for this place's more extensive menu. read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to tacos. As a Texas native we know tacos and such and the food is decent. Not amazing but I'd go back eventually if I'm craving tacos. I was surprised at the prices up here in balt. Tacos down south are $1-1.50/taco but that had nothing to do with this place specifically. I got a torta and the meat was decent not chewy but could use more flavor. Still all in all its decent and that is good by other standards. read more

for some reason my roommate isn't into this place. as i tend to agree with him most of the time, i was hesitant to try tijuana tacos, but as it's basically across the street from me, i had to give it a shot. i definitely wasn't disappointed; apparently my roommate doesn't like things that are delicious. he mumbled something about too much cilantro when i pressed him, but maybe he was asleep at the time. and maybe he hates yumminess. anyway, i've had several items in different formats (for example, chorizo, tongue, carnitas, and carne asada in varying forms like tacos, burritos, and enchiladas). everything is simple, fresh, seasoned perfectly, and a great balance of flavors. my one complaint is regarding my love for mexican food with ALL the fixin's... i'm talking sour cream, guac, rice & beans, cheese, and some sort of sauce (mole, poblano, whatever) on pretty much everything. i realize that's not necessarily 100% authentically mexican, but it's what i in my americanity have become accustomed to. this place doesn't serve sides with everything; you have to make sure you order exactly what you want to come with it. prices are good, service is friendly and quick, food is excellent (except i wish they'd fry the corn tortillas for just a few seconds more for the tacos; they still had that funny bitter/dry/raw taste to them). bonus, i can walk over in my pj's and flip-flops and no one judges me. ole! read more

I promise that in all of the Mexican restaurants I have eaten at, this is by far, the best I've had. You can just taste the love in the food. The meat is perfectly seasoned. The pico de gallo is ... Similar to some other reviewers, I checked out Tijuana Tacos 3 after seeing a number of regular Yelpers had given it solid marks. I wasn't disappointed! Went for lunch today, and ordered three tostadas-- two al pastor (marinated pork) and one carne asada grilled beef), and a side of beans, to go. I agree with the numerous reviews about the food being on the pricey side, as my order was over $13 with tax. When I got home I was surprised to see the container with the beans also included rice. Both were pretty good, but the stars were the tasty tostadas. The hard tortilla and meat were topped with beans, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes with a little sour cream, and they were delicious. I actually enjoyed the beef a little more than the pork, which I didn't anticipate since others have raved about the al pastor. Both the red and the green salsas had a nice but not overwhelming kick (a la some at Taqueria el Sabor del Parque). Have to admit I was stuffed after refusing to not finish the tostadas-- they were that good. Meanwhile, I ate most of the beans and a little of the rice. It was definitely more of a dinner potion than a lunch-sized meal, and if I were going for lunch I'd either cut back by one tostada, or better yet skip the beans and rice. Found this through yelp, we were a bit skeptical about the location and first impression. But the staff and patrons were very friendly. The place is little small and got crowded pretty quick, we waited about 15minutes before they took our order but I guess they were busy because it was a Saturday night. Another 15-20 minutes after that for food to be ready. Food was yummy and spicy. We had the chicken burrito and chicken/beef tacos to go. Was well priced too for the portion size. This place is great! Its nice to have a place that delivers good quality tacos to my house! I have tried most of the tacos but I think the beef tacos are my favorite- they come with grilled cactus and some fresh veggies and limes. Their salsa verde is awesome and their chips are crispy and delicious. Delivery has always been quick! Only four stars since it can be a small (really Only a small) problem sometimes ordering through a language barrier. But even with that said my order has always been correct and super tasty! Ok, dudes. This is the deal. I'm a Texas girl and I miss Mexican food so much! One of the things I miss more than anything is tiny delicious tacos. I moved to B-more a little over a year ago and I haven't been able to find good tacos. But this place - this place here - has taken care of that problem. I ate the carnitas de puerco (you could sort of think of it as pulled pork) and lengua (beef tongue, don't let this deter you because it's AMAZING) tacos. The meat from both was so soft and tender and I left so incredibly full and happy... I'll be back! Also, don't expect linen covered tables or valet parking. This is true to the style of most Mexican taco joints - a modest hole in the wall with one person acting as the owner, cook, and server. Love it!!! read more

The Al Pastor tacos here are the best I've had in Baltimore. Since spending some time in Mexico about five years ago I've always been looking for that perfect Al Pastor taco. So that every authentic Mexican restaurant that I go to I always order a Al Pastor taco. Al pastor, for those few who don't know is marinated pork that is grilled and then served with pineapple. Most restaurants serve a dry red colored meat with not much flavor. This is the opposite. The meat is moist and flavorful, well seasoned with a hint of pineapple sweetness. It's so good that I have been back twice this week. The fact that they also deliver is a plus too. The prices are a little bit high as compared to everywhere else in Highlandtown, but it's definitely worth the tacos are enormous. read more

Thanks to Yelp, we discovered this hole in a wall gem. Six blocks from our house, it was easy to get to, even on a chilly night like last night. I couldn't tell from previous reviews if there was a seating area, so we walked in expecting to take out. Fortunately, there were several tables and chairs, enabling us to eat in! The menu was incredibly affordable ($2.75 for a grilled chicken taco!) and the staff took the time to explain to us what a tostada y sopas was, since neither of us had had one before. We asked for chips and salsa, which was quickly upgraded to guacamole, and it was damn fine guacamole indeed. It was fresh-made and had hints of lemon in it, which was a pleasant surprise. Even better were our meals, which were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. When we asked for more chips and guacamole, they made a fresh batch which was steaming hot and super yummy. All for $11 (including drinks). We will definitely be coming back to Tijuana for more delicious meals. read more

By the end of the transaction, I had three cell phone numbers in my possession from various employees who redirected me when I called to confirm where my food was. Good salsa...check, great chips...check, really nice people double check. So let me just say that even more than the food, which is good, the employees are really nice. I have some friends that live on that block with 2 kids. The employees know this, and when no spots were available have literally come out, given up there spot so the mom can park. That says a lot and makes we want to eat there more. I can't remember having anything bad. They make all their salsas and sauces on site. The tacos are great and you can get just about any meat combination you like. They also have pretty great fresh squeezed juices, which is odd but wonderful at the same time. Two things to note: 1. Always check your bag. We've had the wrong order delivered twice. But both times they were great about correcting it. 2. The food is crazy hot/spicy. This is my new go-to taco spot. My friend tipped me off to it a while ago and I finally tried it out with her recently. The place feels very hole in the wall. The door is unassuming and the space inside is fairly tight. It's clear that it's a neighborhood/local spot. All the meat is well made and well flavored. I usually get 1 surtido (mixed meat) and 1 al pastor. The tacos come with lime, cucumber, red and green sauce, grilled giant green onion stalk, and grilled cactus. I tried a torta from here, and I wasn't as impressed - I would stick mainly to the tacos here. I always get an agua fresca as well. I've had the pineapple and the papaya and they are both delicious. We ordered food to go via Uber eats and Ubers delivery was awesome, and the timing for preparation for the restaurant was great. The carne asada meat was tender and definitely marinated, but very fatty and lacked traditional flavor. Unfortunately we didn't get our cilantro or onions with our tacos. We also ordered two beef carne asada and one chicken taco. We didn't receive our chicken taco and all soft ingredients were stacked on top of the quesadilla in the to go box making it a bit soggy. Overall the food was good, not what we were expecting, but the service for deliver was lacking. Not due to Uber Eats as the delivery person, but on the part of the restaurant that prepared the to go packaging. It's been about a year and half since my last review and they are still very deserving of 5/5 stars. TT3 is consistently tied for favorite office lunch delivery. I've already spoken about all their "Al Pastor" items so I won't go into detail about those. Instead I would like to a highlight a very underrated Mexican restaurant staple.... Tortillas con Guacamole. Their guacamole is very obviously homemade, its deliciously seasoned and you can taste the freshness of the cilantro, tangy lime juice and that bit of heat from the jalapenos plus they NEVER skimp out on the portion they give you. And let me tell you those aguacates are not cheap at the grocery store, so they truly stand out amongst all the other restaurants whose idea of a side of guacamole is a tiny half filled condiment cup *looking at you Qdoba and Chipotle*. Anyway they continue to provide delicious food, filling portions, quick delivery and amazing customer service. So shoutout to everyone on the TT3 staff! read more
