Located near the northeast corner of Patterson Park, Tijuana's is a great place to pick up good Mexican food and eat outside in the park. They offer a wide variety of delicious options including tacos, tortas, cemitas, burritos, and tostadas. The also offer unique drinks such as horchata and aguas including: pepino (cucumber), sandia (watermelon) and fresa (strawberry) flavors. Awesome Tacos, I especially recommend the Al Pastor and Chorizo. They come with two sauces, one spicy and one mild. Double wrapped tortilla served with a side of cucumbers, Delicious! Not much seating inside, but they do take-out which averages about 10 minutes to prepare. Glad that I was able to find this gem. read more

Love this place! Its been hard to find GREAT mexican/ hispanic food since i moved to Bmore (from Florida/ I'm spoiled). This place seems like it has high prices but the portions are huge so you get your moneys worth. I have had the tacos and enchiladas, and tostadas, alll great. Staff is friendly. The place is small so not great for groups, i think they have 4 tables. The decor is lacking too but that's not why I go there. The sauces are also not really that hot but they are flavorful. What is up with the taco prices? First of all, any other taco spot in the city is $2.75 per taco, whereas they charge $3.50. On top of that, if you order 3 different types of tacos they charge you an extra $1. Seriously, wtf is up with that?? How is that a thing? Andthe tacos are ok. A little too salty and the meat quality is not as good as some other places. Cinco de mayo on eastern is far superior. If it wasn't around the corner from my house, i probably wouldn't go here... I often stop by after exercising in Patterson Park - I always get the watermelon natural drink. This is THE best drink on a hot summer day! It's extremely refreshing. We liked the tacos the first few times we ordered but the last few times I've tried switching it up and it's been mediocre at best. Today was pretty horrible... The enchilada's with red sauce came with beans and rice. We got delivery and the beans and red sauce spilled all over everything inside the bag from poor Togo container decisions. The rice was bland and very crunchy. I can't tell if it was undercooked, overcooked, or just old. Pretty weird rice. The red sauce was bland. I've ordered from here FOUR different times. Had an issue with my food twice. This last time was 4/16/20. I ordered a Shrimp Burrito and a Chicken Burrito. The shrimp were tough, both burritos were barely warm and the rice was cold. I messaged someone through GH and they told me that TT3 told them that their food was made with the highest quality, burritos are cold, and they would not issue me a refund. GH couldn't do anything because they use their own delivery service and just use their platform. I've never had a cold burrito, not even from them, but yesterday those burritos being cold were acceptable. I also asked that the driver ring the bell and call me when he delivered the food(contactless option). He left my food, text me, and when I went to the door(at the time he text me) he was nowhere in site. I will give them this though, when they give you an ETA of when to expect your food, you'll get it at that time. If you're going to sit outside the store, order your food, and check it once you've picked it up, I'd say give it a go. I'd definitely never order from there again. . *shrugs* read more

Ok, it's a dive taco joint - let's just get that across. It has a few tables, a high chair (which we used), but it's a dive taco joint. That said, you can get STUFFED with delicious food for not a lot of money. Sure, tacos are $3. Eat more than two and you're probably in the "I have room for dessert after a loaded Chipotle burrito" camp. Ordered tacos, sopes, and a chalupa. Highlights: the carne asado is really nicely seasoned with the right amount of salt, it's a standout. The lengua was in 1" wide slices - interesting preparation, but tender as all get-out. This is going to be my new go-to Mexican restaurant. The menu covers almost all the bases and from what our table tried (the burritos and tacos), they do them well! The portions are generous and the flavor was very authentic. Fútbol is on in the corner, which perfectly accents the rest of their Aztec decor. The only thing we could have done with is a medium salsa - they had one that is spicy AF and one that is flavorful but not spicy at all. We all left full and happy. First off lemme say I been here a number of times prior and the food was good but today's experience ruined it for me. I ordered through grub hub and that part was fine but when I looked in my carne asada burrito there were MULTIPLE HAIRS IN THE BURRITO. So I called the restaurant to ask about possible compensation and got passed around on the phone by multiple employees, all of which speak English fine enough to hold conversation at least. They knew my order was from grub hub but wanted to act like they didn't know what I was saying when I told each employee there were hairs in my food. I don't play that shit acting like they don't know what I'm saying when there's a problem and don't wanna do anything about it. I'm really tryna give them zero stars but idk if it'll let me. I sent in a complaint through grub hub too but I didn't hear back from them yet. I'm not even looking for compensation anymore I'm just putting this shitty experience out there to be heard. This is, hands down, the most authentic Mexican food I have ever had. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The meats are well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. This place is a cultural work of art. The ONLY problem is they are TOO authentic and unless you speak Spanish fluently, placing an order or getting clarification about what you're ordering is a HUGE problem. I had to Google half my order just to know what it is we wanted. Ordering through OrderUp sucks because the online menu doesn't show all of the options and most of it is in Spanish. Great food. Worst enchiladas ever! The tortilla that was used just crumbled apart as soon as the fork touched it. They topped it with what tasted like Parmesan cheese and it was stuffed with some crappy cheese that just clumped together and had no flavor. The rice and beans were flavorless as well. Eating at Tijuana Tacos was a great experience! Really good, authentic Mexican food. The food is super fresh which makes it an even better experience. The chips with the sauce at the beginning were really good. Sauce tasted really home made. I ordered the carne asada platter and it was really good. Meat had a good flavor and texture. Beans tasted great and were really fresh, as did the avocado salad. Rice that came with it was very good also. Fresh Mexican country cheese was a nice addition. My girlfriend had the al pastor burrito and it was fantastic. Fresh Mexican cheese, great flavored beef and avocado. Prices were fair and the service was great. Can't wait to return! read more
