Great vibe in the evenings with ample space. For outdoorand overheadseating. People are friendly and engaging. The crab and shrimp egg rolls were stuffed and tasty. The fried shrimp are large with a crisp batter. My favorite drink was the orange Creamsicle crush. The watermelon and strawberry crushes were also tasty.

That server was great too bad she wasn't our server.

My friend brought me here as we were driving to DC. He grew up in the area. This spot is so cool. Came for opening week. Service was weird our server barely came to us the other server was on her A game but we got someone who came maybe one extra time after taking our order. Honestly all I can remember is this lady bringing the check to me two times. IF THERE IS A MAN AT THE TABLE... you NEVER bring the check to the women... food was ok. Drinks were good. The young runner was great.. he was helpful. Our waitress just seemed lazy

Stopped in at 11:30am for drinks! It's summer so the walls were up and fans going. Nice spot!

After mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea, we decided to stay on Solomons Island for lunch. My wife said some of her co-workers liked the Tiki Bar/Tiki Grill, so we decided to have lunch. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos, my wife had the crab dip. Both were very good. I also had a Hazy Little Thing while my wife had a Twisted Tea. Had a pretty good selection for beers, both on tap and in cans. The decor definitely fit the Tiki/South Pacific theme. There was a whole village behind the bar/grill, with lots of umbrella-covered tables on beach sand. Part of the bar used to be a small motel as well, some of the doors still have room numbers on them. Overall a nice place to eat... the only negative was I had asked for a salad as the side to my tacos, but they gave me fries. Otherwise, it was an A+ experience and we'll definitely come back again.

We - I and our sailing crew- arrived by bicycle from nearby Zahnisers Marina, and made use of their convenient bicycle racks. Unfortunately. When we arrived all of the shops in the complex were closed. But we found a nice table to eat under the roof, but open to the outside. We were able to enjoy the colors of the sunset sky during dinner. Theirs is the best Chesapeake hot crab dip we found all summer. My fish tacos and house salad were also perfect. And, the drinks were appropriately tropical! It was a nice evening, and a unique venue.

It's a warm day, I'm at a tiki bar in MD but it almost feels tropical. I'm liking this place so far! The servers looked like they were suffering. It was warm and they were hustling but they were also patient and they smiled through it all! The food... fire! That was some seriously good food. The rice was buttery and had some seasoning that was also on the rockfish. The rockfish was perfect! You have to come eat it! Don't cheat yourself!!!

Food was boring. We ordered tacos, mostly lettuce on them. Nothing amazing. Vibe was decent and a cool looking place .

Shrimp and crab eggs rolls were mostly breading.

Cool beach bar area. Drinks are $9 each! Young crowd but interesting. Didn't eat any food. You go the bar to order , no servers.

This hole in the wall bar that had overpriced drinks is permanently closed until they find someone to buy it.

I've never really understood the draw of this place. It's always super crowded and impossible to get a drink.

They roast their own coffee! Wow! Yum!…read more On a weekend morning (Jun 2026), we were in the vicinity of Solomons MD, and friends said that Bugeye Grill roasts their own coffee. That got our attention! We stopped in at this bright clean restaurant on a late weekend morning, (weekdays they open at 5pm). The French-press coffee was a tasty fragrant medium Brazilian blend. The flavor was well balanced, and it was a good smooth non-acidic coffee We found it to be a creamier fragrant brew, not a darker roasty flavor. It had a lightly malty sweetness and nuttiness, characteristic of its blend of Brazilian arabica, robusta, and hybrid beans. They have different blends from time to time. They really are a full-menu restaurant terrific views of Back Creek, and a midscale-classy vibe. They focus on seafood and steaks and lobster! We saw sandwiches around $20. This time, we came for the coffee. It was luscious!

First timers on Solomon and at Bugeye Grill. I will admit that we stopped by this restaurant…read morebecause it was one of the first ones that had outdoor seating (we were visiting with a dog). The restaurant had a nice variety of dishes and specialty cocktails...I think that I was more interested in the latter. ;) Since I have not visited Solomons, MD before, I cannot comment if the prices are comparable to other places in the area. However, most of the entrees were in the $25 and up range. I thought my fish and chips (I forget the actual name of the dish) were fine, and my spouse really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Although I thought the portion sizes for the sandwiches and fries were fine, the serving size of the mussels seemed a bit small. However, this could have been an optical illusion because the serving bowl for the mussels was HUGE, so the amount of mussels could have appeared to be smaller than what it was. I thought the outdoor patio was great especially with a view of the water and folks going about their business. However, some may not like the setup because you are right on the main street, which can be a bit noisy especially if a lot of bikers are cruising up and down the strip. Parking was a bit of a struggle (not the fault of the restaurant). During our visit, all of the public parking lots were full. However, we visited on Mother's Day weekend so maybe there were more folks (including us ) in the area than normal. I'll admit that since this was my first time visiting the area that I'm not too familiar about the ebb and flow of parking. Overall, our server (who reminded me a bit of a young Jodie Foster) was amazing. One thing that I really appreciated was her telling us about a potential delay for the food due to a large party. Although no one wants to hear that after ordering food, I think it's nice and considerate when a server provides a heads-up so diners can adjust accordingly.

The staff were polite, but we had to ask several times to get items we were missing or things we wanted extras of. They checked in on us a fair number of times, but they still forgot to return to give us what we had asked for. By the time we were ready to leave, we still haven't gotten our dressings or our condiments. I also had asked for my burger to be well done, but I got a burger with quite a bit of pink in it. I didn't want to ask for it to be placed back on the grill because I didn't really want to wait longer for my food. Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! I also ordered a coke. Just a heads up, they don't do free refills on the sodas, so each cup is $4. My party also ordered salmon l'orange and a romano salad with salmon. My friends really enjoyed their main dishes, but we did ask for extra dressing. The restaurant is decorated in a boho-style vibe, and it was cute. We found the lighting on the side dining area to be a little bit too dim once the sun went down, but I do think it would've been perfect for a date night vibe. Overall, we had an okay experience.

The restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated on the patio quickly. That evening, they had a pasta al a vodka special but I still got the lamb burger with fries. We also got the pork bowl, which was HUGE and the table favorite. The bowl had rice, beans, pineapple, shredded pork, tomatoes and pickled onions. I love the amount of food and all the toppings. It was kind of elevated chipotle! We finished the evening with coconut cream pie and a couple more Coors lights. The coconut cream pie was fluffy and slightly sweet. The only thing is the crust was a bit hard, but it was still very yummy!
