Went back to Tiki Docks to give it a second try on Valentine's Day. Of course we expected it to be busy but was able to find seats at the bar immediately. The bar tender was quick to grab our drink orders and appetizer request which were made and delivered quite fast. She wasn't very personable and tended to walk away when we were still talking to her but I'll chalk it up to her being busy. We ordered our food (Florida heat chicken sandwich with fries and the combo basket with fries) but when our food arrived, my sandwich was just warm and our fries were cold. Another bartender checked on us and got us a new, fresh basket of fries which was extremely nice. The sandwich was okay, not a ton flavor and not spicy at all but the fresh and crispy fries were delicious. Overall a much better experience than the first trip but wish the food came out hot/more fresh. read more

Good food, however the service was a circus. We waited outside of the restaurant for an hour and after seeing other groups of the same size being seated, walked in to ask what was happening. There were multiple empty tables, however the manager who was at the host's stand gave an attitude and told us we should have a text on the phone number we gave them, which we showed her we did not. After being seated, we immediately ordered because we looked at the menu online. I have no complaints about the speed at which we got our food, but the service after was absent. We had to refill our own drinks with water bottles we had with us. A man sat at the door for 30 minutes waiting on a to-go order and the table seated next to us walked out after waiting 15 minutes to get drinks. We went to Tiki Docks just for drinks. The drinks were excellent and our server, Rachel was stellar. The building has amazing architecture and a cool tiki vibe outside... until you get close enough to hear the music. The rap/hip hop did not lend to the whole tiki theme. Inside was even more confusing, sports on TVs all around the walls. No tiki masks, tropical looking plants or Polynesian decor to be found. The gift shop has some really nifty things, but we left wishing the tiki theme had carried throughout. read more

Went for a late lunch end of December with my spouse and a friend.. Place was about 60% full and extremely noisy.. They had the main door open to the restaurant and it was a cold day and the draft was awfully uncomfortable.. And we had jackets on. Spouse had the cuban and said it was very salty.. Friend had the Tiki Burger.. Asked server if he could get it cooked medium and was told they can only enter it as Angus Juicy or Angus Done.. He ordered Juicy but it came medium well done.. I ordered the seafood combo and the grouper bites and shrimp were good but the scallops were small and mushy.. The coleslaw was a strange yellowish color and UGH in taste. Our waiter was friendly, efficient and came back to table often to check on us.. Know they have not been open long but have to say we were not impressed.. read more

At least at Applebee's, you have an affordable meal with good service. This place is a nightmare on the river. Prepare to wait and stare at TV's and the River while you wait 45 min for a salad & or chicken wings and pay 100.00. The manager's here could care less and similar to wait staff and bartender's. This place is worse than Fysh the prior name of this place. It's a rebrand and a money hustle on the river. I'd go to beachside and next door to Aunt Catfish and get more bang for the buck. read more

#1 - there are signs in the parking lot that are supposed to take you to the front door. All the signs took us to the back door. #2 - We were seated quickly, but waited over 10 minutes for our server to show up. #3 - Megan, our server was delightful. She explained that they were out of grouper and salmon. Most everything they offer is made with one of those two fish. For a seafood place, the options were very limited. #4 - One person in our party got the wrong food delivered. It took another 10 to 15 minutes to get their food back out to the table. My family and I have tried here twice so far and we're pleasantly surprised. We live here locally and I'm a server as well so I already have a set standard but this really blew me away! Our server Quentin was very nice. He upsold us on our appetizer and even my kids liked his recommendation of the shrimp toast which we definitely wouldn't have ventured out to try if not for him so we love that. Immediately upon walking in the new North side entrance, the scaled down size was apparent. The new space has a far more cozy feel and still enjoyed that panoramic view of the river. Was told they went from seating 600 to 300, smart move. Much better ambience than previous! About the food, let me just say yum. A few tweaks and absolute perfection. App was Oysters Rockefeller. The flavors were spot on just a tad on the liquid side. We both ordered the Lobster roll. The rolls needed to be toasted on the grill. As for the lobster it was ample in quantity and cooked just right. Our sides were cheesy grits and mashed red potatoes perfect!! Gotta go, you'll love it! read more

They have done a nice job revamping the place. They have two big bars, one up and one down. The view is awesome. Friendly service and lots of servers. Everyone's food was very good (fish tacos, raw oysters and mahi dinner, shrimp basket), but you MUST try the banana bread. Oh my gosh.....so good. It's a huge portion, great for sharing. One pet peeve though. They serve their beer and cocktails in plastic cups. If I'm spending $100 on dinner for two, I don't want to drink out of plastic throw away cups like spring break kids. At least get acrylic ones like the wine glasses. Other slight issue is with the lighting. I had to use the light on my phone to read the menu and the check. That could be better. Great experience. Happy to have them close to home. This Management knows how to run a restaurant of this size and it shows. We had a group of 7, we were seated within a few minutes, had amazing cocktails, food and a great over all experience. Some highlights were the seared ahi app, the wings were the best I've had locally, salmon was cooked to perfection, and the lobster roll was on point! Obviously can't go wrong with the view. pretty poor experience as a whole - first time here in daytona - ordered the grouper tacos and was pretty displeased with my service - waited 2hrs+ for food for a smaller party- grouper was severely unseasoned but was "blackened", ordered double rice as a side and no coleslaw and obviously not what i received. also did not get a refill the whole time i was here. quite unacceptable from a big establishment like this - definitely will not be returning .. please stay away from this place to ensure a pleasant meal and experience read more
