Had a long day from Grand Canyon and found this hidden gem for a surprisingly tasty dinner. We ordered spicy chicken melt, seared rainbow trout - their daily special, and chicken wings. The fish is well cooked and seared yet it is still pretty chewy. Definitely not made from frozen fish. The shop owner was kind enough to still catering to our needs even after their closing time. A gem in Flagstaff! Best seafood I've ever had. I used to live in Japan and became a seafood snob as a result. I could never find good fish in Arizona until I came here! I spoke with the owner and chef and he is a very friendly down to earth guy who is passionate about his food. He remembers his clients and is very welcoming. He used to live and work on the coast and cares about quality fish! He cooks it beautifully!!! NEVER overcooked, always moist and delicious!!! My favorite dish is the catfish sandwich. I usually add slaw to it and I get it grilled. It's a melt in your mouth texture and is seasoned perfectly - so full of flavor! And for those of you who have hankerings for a delicious burger or are a true southwestern American - he cooks it to your liking and don't worry he has hatch green chili. We came to the Tiki Grill for lunch today, I had the white fish tacos and my wife Ahi Poke tacos. So my lunch was amazing and plenty of food.. I mean two pieces of perfectly deep fried fish , light batter and seasoned well. Next time I order these I will ask for less greens and more sauce, just my preference nothing wrong with how they came out. My wife's lunch was amazing according to her and was also plenty.. We also had some cheese curds and they were super tasty as well. So bottom line ,my first time was amazing and I will be back for sure. Popped in here for dinner after arriving in town later in the evening. Selected for the convenient location to our hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the food! My son had the fish tacos, and I had the crab cake and pork belly served over salad. The crab cake was particularly good because it wasn't made up of a bunch of filler like you usually find in restaurants. This is an "order at the counter" style restaurant. My wife and I just found this place. Nice aesthetic with a dog friendly patio out front. Good selection of beers too. We had the Angus burger, cucumber and tomato salad, fish tacos, and the poutine (OUTSTANDING). Everything 'was great but the poutine was amazing. Judging by all the 5 star reviews I'm not the only one who feels this way. One of my favorite places to eat in Flagstaff. Great Burgers and Wings, ask for one of their dry rubs, like Jamaican Jerked or Cajun Honey). It's not a typical wet buffalo style wing spot. Then grab some Hot Honey from the hot sauce rack. The catfish sandwich is a favorite of mine, but my goto, is the Tiki Loco Moco. Ask for it Arizona Style, which means they add roasted green chili and pork belly toppers to it. It's the perfect comfort food. side, my favorite is the fried cheese curds. ...and for dessert, do yourself a favor and get an ooey gooey butter bar to go, and eat it with strong black, or at least unsweetened coffee.
