Stopped in here while visiting based on the recommendation from a friend. I ordered the fish taco (this day it was mahi mahi). The order took at least 15 minutes to prepare. I was surprised by the longer wait but I believe it's because they make the tortillas on demand. The food was hot and fresh but my taco lacked flavor. The tortilla was gummy and the fish was also not seasoned well. Given the price and my first time experience I'm not sure I'd return. If I did I'd probably opt for the salad and avoid the tacos altogether. read more

I wanted to try fish tacos while on Kauai. We picked Tiki Tacos. I had "the best fish taco" (that's what they named it) I wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't the "best." The homemade tortillas were great. They were thick, grilled and hot. The taco had fish, onions, slaw and a sauce on it. To me it was lacking flavor. It definitely needed something. A squeeze of lime would have elevated this taco for sure. They had a bunch of ok sauces but every sauce except one was spicy. I put the not spicy green sauce on it. It helped but it wasn't fantastic. It would gave been great with a mango salsa or something to make flavors pop. I would not get their fish taco again. My second taco was a winner. I got Kahlua pork. It was crispy and flavorful and everything I want a taco to be. I would definitely get that again. The menu for ordering was done in chalk on a big board but it wasn't organized or easy to read. I finally gave up and just got fish taco and a taco that the girl at the register suggested. She nailed it with the pork taco. Also the sodas in the cooler weren't cold at all. That was a bummer. It was also expensive. $10. Per taco . This is a small joint with a few tables inside but most people ate outside because there was more seating. So this place had some highs and lows. I can't believe I've never reviewed this spot as we first came here a year and a half ago. Solid taco spot on the island! Tacos are hugeee and tortillas are freshly made. The menu is pretty extensive with several choices of meats and flavors. Imma be real with you right now you can never go wrong with the kalua pig taco and the al pastor. Steak isn't the best quality in my opinion. They do fish tacos based off of the catch and today it was mahi mahi I wasn't in love with them but my husband is more of a fish eater and he said it was his fav. I think 2 tacos per person is plenty. Inside could be described as 'honey' lol not the mostttt clean needs a deep scrubbing. But would I eat here again? Hell yeah I would. read more

We ate here nearly every day in Kauai. Stopped at Tiki Tacos in Kapa'a while visiting Kaua'i and wow--what a find! I went for the Kahlúa pork taco and it was amazing. The pork was smoky, tender, and piled high--exactly what you'd hope for in Hawai'i. I also tried the asada and shrimp tacos, and both were super tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. My wife ordered the veggie tacos and she loved them--really flavorful and satisfying, not just an afterthought like veggie options can sometimes be. Portions are big, the tortillas are thick and taste fresh, and everything just hits the spot after a beach day. Friendly service too. Definitely one of the best meals we had on the island--we'll be back next trip for sure! Also, the owner or dude in charge was the best! From the outside this place almost looks closed but they're not! Seating both inside and outside, drink options to buy (although we brought our own water) and super friendly service. We love this place! It is next door to our favorite Kapa'a restaurant, JO2. We finally tried it after seeing how busy it was while we were waiting for our JO2 table. Nothing fancy, just good tacos. It's a bit of a hole-in-the wall in a small strip mall on Kuhio Highway. Besides JO2 there is a pipe shop and a piercing parlour in the complex. On this trip, I had the Al Pastor pork taco ($10.75) and my partner had "The Best Fish Taco" ($10.75.) Previously we have tried the Kahuna Fish Taco, the Tiki Fire Pork Taco, and the Pollo Loco (all spicy.) On any of the "spicy" tacos be sure to taste them first before you add more hot sauce. They are not kidding when they say "spicy." BYOB (beer) or grab a Penefel out of the fridge and sit outside. Again some pretty nervy Kauai chickens hanging about. Please do not feed them, that is the reason they are so pushy. read more

BEST TACOS ALL TRIP!!! The tortillas (gluten free) are made in-house daily and all their meats were fresh, juicy, and so delicious! The vibe inside is pretty chill and standard for a taco joint but we sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There was always a line the whole time we were there but everyone's food came out within a few minutes! The menu has plenty of options ranging from all the fish, beef, pork, and even lamb! Tacos weren't bad, they're definitely huge so 1-2 definitely does the trick. I got the chicken taco and the steak taco. The chicken taco didn't have a ton of flavor - tasted like a crockpot chicken if that makes any sense. It's a shredded chicken that tasted slow cooked with limited flavor. I wouldn't get the chicken again I think it was the spicy one. Also got the steak and that was better - could've just eaten the taco without the big tortilla. I prefer my tortillas warmed/grilled these definitely didn't do it for me tasted cold. The service - quick and they were so sweet. Caveat - tacos are made different in Cali. read more

We drove all the way from Koloa so I could get a fish taco. The fish was perfectly cooked. It could have used a sprinkle of "seasoning". My taco was large, unfortunately, I had difficulty eating it because it fell apart. The fish was wet and made the taco soggy. Despite all that, I enjoyed the taco. Many places close early in Kauai and we were lucky to find Tiki Tacos. Their corn tortillas are freshly made and the portion is generous. Their fish of the day was Ono and we were drooling. Hubby and I shared a kalua pork taco, a shrimp and fish taco, and a fish quesadilla. In fact all 3 looked like a quesadilla because they were all so big! So delicious and tasty! The taco is hugee and one will most likely fill you up, unless you have a big appetite, then maybe two. The fish was grilled in a lovely marinade and topped with their green salsa and pineapple. The fish was a little dry for my taste, but overall a solid taco. The caramelized onions were an added plus. The lady working at the front was super friendly as we were deciding what to order. There's a couple small tables inside and outside, but it seems like it's mostly a to-go spot. If I were to visit Kauai again in the near future, I want to try their Kalua pork taco. read more
