I've come here twice so far, with varying experiences each time. I came with a large group for brunch the first time, they were great at accommodating us and the restaurant was mostly empty. This allowed for the group to be comfortable and serviced quickly. The bottomless brunch was popular at the table with the mimosas and Bellinis being best. The "chaitini" was fairly strong. The matcha crepe and French toast were good. The wing lollipops were also good. The calamari was great, leaving the table considering whether to order another one. While I didn't enjoy the lobster fried rice, others did. Some members ordered the fruit platter off of the bottomless brunch menu to get the bottomless drinks as nothing on the limited menu appealed to them, ordering off of the main instead. The second time I came here was for dinner, which was considerably better than the brunch experience. The bogo drinks for ladies was popular at the table, although they had to order it at the bar and bring it back. We got the lo mein, which was great, and New York Steak. The two steak prices are awfully high for one, leading us to split the steak and Lo mein between two which worked out well for portion size and pricing. The grilled ahi tuna was also good. Everything at dinner was great! The highlight of dinner was Dj Matrixx! He comes on Thursdays and played a host of old school Caribbean music, which appealed to the crowd and my party quite well. It's located in the broadway mall area so don't go flying past it like I did lol. I saw this restaurant being promoted on instagram so I decided to give it a try. When walking in I felt bamboozled because Instagram has once again made a restaurant appear to be a lot more grand when advertised but it's not a lot of sq foot when you arrive. The decor is nice, the flower tree is the most appealing part of the ambiance, and it's dimly lit inside with colors of blue, purple and hints of pink. I feel like my waitress was not only new to this restaurant but new to the restaurant industry and she needs work, she has potential but there's something about her personality that's lacking. Food was mehhh, I ordered the crispy chilli chicken which I was told was sweet and it was not. The chicken dumplings were good with the fried garlic on top which helped to complement the flavor. Mocktail was something you can make at home with orange juice and coconut milk. The veggie fried rice was delicious and the deserts were the best part of the night. I don't eat mussels and scallops but I heard that theirs are delicious so if you are interested give them a try. I myself won't be returning but I can knock it now that I've tried it. read more

I had my father's 75th birthday here and the Tikka Charcoal Grill team was excellent in communication, professional and polite. I had a week to get this venue and Julie responded immediately explained everything in detail including price, food, drinks, etc. The only downside is that they didn't have a sound system, so if you're doing a party make sure you hire a DJ with speakers. The venue was very clean, staff were excellent and helpful. The food was delicious my father and guests really enjoyed the salmon miso and chicken tikka masala. I've yet to try their sit down dining but I'm sure it is good as their catered food. read more

My daughter and I decided to give this place a go and we ended up really enjoying ourselves here. The place is beautiful the parking lot is huge as it is in a mall lot so parking is not an issue at all. Inside is beautifully designed the bar is spacious and has a good amount of seats. The main dining room is not huge but can accommodate dinner parties and dates. The one thing I do have to say that is great is the menu items all have pictures and the food comes out exactly like those photos. This is a major plus! The drinks here were good I did prefer the tikka sunset over the blueberry drink I had. It was balanced and not to sweet. For appetizer they gave complementary edamame which we did enjoy they put a little spice on them. We ordered the octopus which was good bad great flavor and texture. We also got the mussels which were amazing! So flavorful and definitely a good portion size. We got this with the garlic naan which was also really good. The sauce that the mussels come in was delicious. They have sushi here which I wasn't sure about getting but the waiter said it was really good so we gave it a go. My daughter ordered a shrimp tempura, she loved it it looked great and was fresh! I got the whole braised Bronzino which was a 10/10 it was plated with a salad I mean I would get this dish each and every visit. ( unfortunately they have removed this from the menu and replaced it with another Bronzino option) For dessert I got the kheer crème brulee which is not your typical crème brulee it was like a rice pudding. The ambiance was nice. Their version of the old fashion was good. My shrimp with the lemon sauce from what I believe was the Mediterranean side of the menu was good. My friend's part of the menu she chose to order from was Chinese. The chicken was overcooked so it was tough. My friend wasn't impressed with the space, too much of restaurant was taken up with the dance floor being too big. She said maybe because she eat out in the city a lot why she may have been so hard in critiquing the restaurant. When I go out my main focus is the food and my alcoholic drinks being excellent. The food was ok for the price point. The spicy crispy tuna rice was yummy, but portions were small. The "lollipop chicken" were mainly chicken wings, the seasoning was ok. I'm so conflicted with this review, 1st This place is beautiful, def IG worthy for those photos. As soon as we walked in, we were advised we have 90 minutes to eat and that would be it, no exceptions - it was repeated a few times, so not a great 1st impression. Once seated, we ordered a few cocktails, bottle of wine and appetizers. The waitress came over and quickly opened the bottle and poured into all of our glasses (we all didn't want wine) however my friend realized they gave her Prosecco not wine - when she mentioned it she was told we don't have the wine you ordered ??? Like what !! we had to send it back and they were annoyed - so it felt like they tried to slip it in and hope she wouldn't notice. We ordered a few sushi rolls, chicken lollipops and dumplings, all very good. Then we ordered a couple of entrees, a salmon dish, a lamb dish and a shrimp dish. They were also very good. We did feel rushed - not by our server but another server and the owner kept coming over trying to grab plates and glasses before we were finished, We were celebrating birthdays (which was on the reservation) we expected to have a dessert with sparklers come over and it never did - however tables around us did - we asked (they seemed annoyed) for the dessert it came over - the whole evening felt rushed - we were over it and asked for the bill so we could finish the night elsewhere. Here comes the next issue - after the bill was paid in full (by credit card) tip given in cash to waitress, the owner comes over to say they forgot to add gratuity to bill, so they need to reprint the bill and charge the credit card the tip??? Like no, we're not doing that. When we got up to leave we were told we could stay since it wasn't busy, which we did not - we were ready to go. Stunning! This restaurant was a breath of free air. The ambience is stellar! If you have a large enough party, you get a semi private dining experience which is really nice! We came here with a party of 6 and were able to get the semi private dining experience. What this means is your table is surrounded by a weighted netted curtains. The drinks were delicious and everyone loved the food! There was such a variety that we will definitely be back. After 9:30 PM, they have happy hour which was buy one get one drink with a live DJ. We went there for Mother's Day, the ambience was very nice. Def picture worthy. Looked just like online! The food was okay, nothing to rave about. The service though could definitely use some revamping. Our waitress kept complaining about how tired she was while taking our order & entire time there lol also, they didn't mention which dishes were spicy, so unfortunately my mom ended up ordering the Brandi I which was spicy and she started coughing really bad and just not pleasant... they then took a while to check on our table... by the time we finally got ahold of our waitress, we all had finished our meals and my mom was just there waiting... lol they didn't even apologize. There are Thai, Indian and Chinese dishes on the menu. We had dishes from each cuisine and they all were Upto par. The service was great and they were very accommodating with our food restrictions and requests. Perfect place to go out to dinner with the family, the ambiance/lighting was also very nice & upscale. Can't say enough about the chef here. The selection is a mix of Asian and Indian, but elevated with the use of spices and flavors, creating dishes that are both unique, yet familiar. The spice level can be adjusted, but it's tuned for the audience. I personally would like it spicier, but every dish I had was very well balanced and kept me wanted more. The lamb biryani was spectacular and the grilled octopus squid ink was fantastic pairing. Last night I went to Tikka charcoal grill. It's a new southern Asian fusion spot in the Broadway mall shopping center. Wow wow wow! We got in at a weird transition time of day so it was kind of empty and I was nervous, it picked up right away. When we got to the hostess stand we were greeted so kindly and given iPad menus when she sat us at our table. I was a little chilly and right away the hostess offered to lower the air a bit. The decor in this place was beautiful. There were beaded curtains with tables for a larger group. I really wanted to sit in there. The whole vibe just felt upscale and it seemed there was a back room for a private party. It took a little while to get our water and there was a little snafu with our waiter but once we got our waiter and water it was smooth sailing. I think that's just new restaurant kinks that will get worked out. Multiple managers checked on us and our glasses never reacher less than half. Okay, onto the food! Tasty delight. We got the lamb biryani. The lamb was perfectly tender. The biryani was just abundant with flavor and spices. I can be a little wimpy when it comes to spice level, it was a little spicier than I have had in the past. If it wasn't for my wimpy spice tolerance I would've ate the whole mound of rice. My friend got the chicken korma. The sauce was creamy and rich and just right. Chicken breast is often dry to me, it was so juicy. For a side we got the spicy eggplant. It had like a sweet spicy feel going on and had a little drizzle of like a yogurt sauce on top. So delicious. And then of course we had to get naan so we got garlic naan. The cocktails looked amazing. I wanted a mocktail but unfortunately the only mocktails they have are piña colada and mojitos. I hope they try to make some of their cocktails into mocktails in the future because sometimes you want a good drink sans alcohol. I will say it's a little pricy but you're definitely getting your money's worth. (Sorry my pictures are kind of trash. We started with the tuna, lollipop chicken, and chicken dumplings. Had the mango salad, eggplant side with lamb korma, and Thai chicken. My fave was the tuna and lollipop starter and the eggplant side. But the best part was the dessert. Creme bule kheer and gulag Jamon flan were amazing! Definitely give it a try. Got the lamb biriyani steam buns, it was tasty the lamb, .it pretty much resembles Asian pork steamed buns. the restaurant overall is pricy for Indian food, I also got a cocktail called a ginger snap, n it was very basic, didn't taste freshly made. Tonight was our second time here my boyfriend and I the first time we found it very expensive but liked our waiter despite a few mistakes made and thought the food was great so we decided to come back. Made a reservation for 7:45 we were 5 minutes late and most restaurants have a 10-15 minute grace period si we thought no big deal ... we were told no tables were available and we could wait at the bar to wait for one to become available. Cut to 40 minutes later we're finally seated after having to go ask if they had forgotten about us. I had to wonder why make a reservation at all? The food was yummy again we had chicken dumplings tikka masala and Mongolian beef with garlic naans and rice ...only thing I didn't love was my galub jamun flan it seems as though the galub jamun on top was cut and placed on top of it days ago and dried out in the fridge it was dry and crusty they should consider placing a fresh one up top! The ambiance is really interesting .. they seem to be going for a trendy vibe which I can appreciate (instagrammable) but with dollar store valentines decor everywhere and club lighting all over they should consider that it really cheapens the place. With a price point like theirs the surrounding should be trendy but clean and classy also it's kind of weird that the waiters are all white shirt and Bow tie in this place considering the owner was in a polo and jeans im confused about the theme they're going for really. Anyway some suggestions :) some kind of table side presentation would be amazing Consider one seasonal decor piece but make it epic rather than ten million cheapy ones. Understand your price point should mean you value retention rather than a high volume one time crowd. provide an experience with these prices something people remember. Work on execution your waiters seem confused the tickets at bar were consistently being confused and they all seem to be falling over each other , systems should be smooth like a well oiled machine. I will be back when I financially recover from this visit hoping they provide more value for my hard earned money. read more
