    "Customer" seating only.

We come to Jungle Jim's every week with our kids (2 and 4 years old). We typically order pretzels and then get drinks from the Tikka Grill bc you cannot sit over in their section without being a paying customer. Today I sat down with both kids as they were eating pretzels waiting for my husband to come over with the drinks. One of the workers came up and asked if we were ordering food. I said no but that we are buying drinks - pointed to my husband in line. She informed us that we have to buy food, not just drinks, in order to stay sitting in their designated area. I'm a mom with two kids, trying to follow their rules of being a paying customer and yet they wouldn't budge...still told to move. There were no other areas to sit in the designated seating area provided by Jungle Jim's. Tikka's seating area had a fully open bar with just one worker eating at it and 2 of their 4 tables open. I had to take my kids and go stand in the corner and have them eat their pretzels on 30 racks of beer while the seats we had previously been in sat empty. This seems wild to me and a bit overkill. Where is the humanity? My two kids needed seats for 10 minutes and they were not busy at all. I could understand enforcing it if it was crowded or if I hadn't been a paying customer even. I plan to avoid this place moving forward and I hope Jungle Jim's sees this and does something to make their other seating vastly better. This place is 1/10 for me moving forward. Kindness is important and this place is really lacking. Do better Tikka. The world is hard enough, let your paying customers - mom and her two toddlers- eat in peace.

This was the perfect spot to grab lunch after shopping at jungle Jim's! It's conveniently located near the beer and wine and not too far from checkout so you can keep your groceries while eating Ordered the falafel wrap and baba ghanoush. Both were delicious. Prices are a little high ~$10 for a wrap and $4.50 for a small portion of baba ghanoush. Their hot sauce is tasty, not too spicy though. Tzaziki was refreshing !

My wife and I needed something to munch on while we were enjoying the beer samples, and this was extremely convenient. We thought the chicken Shawarma pizza was absolutely delicious and delivered relatively quickly! As we are just passing through, not sure if we'll ever be back; however , now we know how good the chicken Shawarma flatbread is!

With such great reviews, I am always hoping for more from TikkaGrill, especially with where the restaurant is located. I love that there are small businesses to eat at within Jungle Jim's. Unfortunately, my experiences have not lived up to the hype. Meat seems to be placed on top of the Sandwiches. Sandwiches look like they have more meat than they truly do. My meat has been dry. I like the freshness of the vegetables. Their natural flavors shine through. Bread gets soggy towards the middle to end of consuming the sandwich. Service is fine. Not overly friendly, yet not rude. Proficient for a quick service establishment. Limited seating is available at their counter. There is also seating by the beer tasting area of Jungle Jim's. That is where I prefer to sit.

    Lamb Gyro, add Feta

Ok Tikka, you are my current reigning Gyro champion of Cincy! I had been wanting to try this spot every time I come to Jungle Jims, but had never had the chance! Recently on a Friday, during pint night, I ventured over to get some take out! I was instantly waited on, despite how busy the area was. I got the lamb gyro and added feta. I also ordered the Greek fries. They were ready in under 7 mins, again, despite how busy it was! The gyro was impressive, and I wasn't expecting that! I am half Greek and always looking for the best, as there isnt much Authetic Greek food in Cincy. It was full of tender lamb (most likely combined with a little beef which is standard). The tzatziki sauce was perfect and just the right amount. The tomato, lettuce and onion were fresh. The pita was fluffy and slightly toasted. The Feta was creamy and a welcome addition. My fries were crispy and had a great seasoning on them. The feta and legit kalamata olives were perfect. I could have done without the vinegar heavy dressing on them, which added a bit of sogginess and was too tangy for my liking. Take out or eat at the bar tables nearby with a pint! I am already craving another Gyro here!!!

Gyro and Greek Fries. Very good!

Would recommend this place to anyone. Great food. Great shopping as well. God the greek fries and a gyro

Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

We were able to score bar seats without a reservation and had a nice time here. Parking - we ubered here, it looks like they had street parking but that might have been more tricky. We tried: Octopus - great, a tad salty Gambas - my husband enjoyed this Salmon - I especially liked the crunchy chickpeas Chenin Blanc Normandia White Blend Neon Lights (cocktail) - not my favorite Rosé - amazing, a great porch pounder. Finally she made reservations for Saturday evening (it is recommended because they get super busy). We got there and was greeted by the owner. BTW, was very down to earth. We ended up ordering: Appetizers: Baba ghannouge M'hammara Taverna falafel Dinner: Shawarma chicken Kebab mixed grill Drinks: Chateau kefraya, Les Bretches Almaza Pilsner My favorite from the appetizers is the eggplant and falafel! Super fresh and the bread that came with it was so good. Even the dipping sauce was amazing. My Shawarma chicken was super delish. You have to put the garlic butter on the rice! It gives it great flavor. My Mr enjoyed his meal as well. We definitely had to get a to go box because there was so much food. But we will look forward the next day to eat it. Overall, the service was great and I loved the experience. We can see ourselves coming back for more! I can see why my best friend loves it here! Highly recommend you try it.

Their menu is pretty big with a plethora of options to choose from including lots of appetizers, flatbreads, shawarmas, kebabs, falafel, and lots of tasty desserts. Their libations menu was very nice too, with numerous options for beer, wine, and spirits. (Try the Almaza for a crisp and tasty Pilsner) all at great prices. We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
