Tikka House Indian Eatery 3100 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway Tikka House Indian Eatery truly deserves five stars. The Indian spices brought out incredibly rich, delicious flavor in every major dish. I ordered several items, and every bite was amazing. The chicken lollipop was absolutely wonderful -- that bold red seasoning was unbelievably good and packed with flavor. The lemon rice was outstanding, and the naan was soft, warm, buttery, and perfect. One thing to note: this is not a rushed dining experience. Each dish is prepared with care, and courses come out about 30 minutes apart. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the spot -- but if you appreciate quality food, the wait is well worth it. They are animal-friendly for service animals (not pets), which is a big plus. They do not have their liquor license just yet, but they are actively working on it. If you love a good bar, they have a beautiful bar coming soon. Since they are brand new, a little patience goes a long way -- and they were very upfront about that themselves. I truly can't recommend this place enough. The food, the flavors, and the care put into every dish make Tikka House one of the best Indian restaurants in the Lakeway area. read more

What a wonderful surprise! The food was incredibly authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavor and tasted like it was made with care and traditional recipes. The naan was perfectly baked, the curry was rich and flavorful, and the rice was light and fragrant. Even the mango drink was refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. Came here for my birthday because I wanted my Kashmiri naan. Was very delicious. Brought along my parents who don't eat much Indian food (if any) and we ordered the onion pakoda and chicken lollipops for the table and those were tasty also -- as was the garlic naan. They loved the included chili dipping sauce, and tamarind + mint sauces included with the appetizers. The chicken biryani was great, as was the butter paneer curry -- all served family-style. Be careful with the spice in those entrees, because it builds! I plan on returning. :) read more

I am the first to say I am a very picky eater when it comes to Indian food. I decided to give the is place a try and I am so glad I did. The ambiance was very cute and the service was amazing. They have a wide range of items to pick from. Including a large vegetarian selection. I got the Hakka Noodles with shrimp and it was fantastic!! Severing size was large enough for leftovers. I rarely leave any reviews on yelp, however, this one i feel I must share my opinion. Their food is authentic and so good. The reason I know they are authentic, is because I ate many times at my Indian students' houses. Their food is just like the one I ate at my students' houses. The price is also reasonable. The dish has a large amount of food. I think it's a good value. It's a bit difficult to find at the first time. Their location is not ideal, but I think they have no problem having returning customers. Compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, the food tastes way better than Zest kitchen. Would be a 5 if the food didnt take 40 minutes and we were the first two people in at lunch time. One other basic suggestion. You dont serve iced tea from a mix in Texas! IMO, having sampled Indian food in many world capitals, this is quality, authentic Indian cuisine, with nuanced and balanced flavor profiles. The menu is expansive, but accessible, without being overly Americanized. The Shrimp Alleppy is a stand out. The pricing is reasonable, although I wish there was a little more meat in the protein dishes. The to-go experience has always been cheerful and efficient. A key thing I like is the spice levels are consistent from order to order. Many have gone from too mild the first time to nuclear the next. Had take out last night and it was delicious. There are just two things that prevented me from giving it a higher rating: 1) both times they only had one wait person working the customer area, and that person was not very attentive; 2) both times I ordered my food with "mild" spice, and I would rank what I was served as a medium spice -- i.e., hotter than I would have expected, and hotter than I like. read more
