This was honestly the worst Indian food I've tasted. Food was tasteless and super liquidy, wasn't hot at all. My boyfriend and I wanted a refund on the first initial bite. At the time the owner wasn't there so they proceeded to say they couldn't give us a refund but could offer us a different food option... which we politely declined. I will say the only edible thing that we could eat was the samosas, we threw our other food out. Please stay away from this place, we will not be coming back. read more

This is a good spot for yummy Indian food. They have your traditional dishes like biryani and butter chicken. The medium spice level is like spicy spicy so be mindful when selecting your spice level. They serve you meal in like a go to container, so if you're done and want to take the rest home, it's already half way packed up. You would just need to ask for a top. Who doesn't love a good Girls Day outing?!? After an eventful day of shopping at several local farmers markets, we had worked up an appetite. So, per usual we couldn't decide on what to eat but eventually the suggestion of Indian cuisine came up. Now, to prepare you, this is not your authentic Indian cuisine, it's more of "food court" style dishes. You place your order on the kiosk and if you're dining in, you just find your table and they bring it out. The restaurant was clean and seemed new, not from the area so not sure how long it's been there, but very open space plan. The couple of times we did speak with staff, it was a pleasant interaction, however, don't expect to get waited on as if you're at a restaurant, it's more like fast food service. I opted for the Biryani rice bowl with chicken, my niece had the butter masala, I believe my sister had Goan Vindaloo curry bowl and they wanted to try Samosas. You definitely get nice portions, we had plenty of leftovers. Overall the food was flavorful however, I've had authentic Indian cuisine and this is not it. I came here for my first time inside was nice and spacious and clean. Customer service is great I came to order take out and I got the lamb shish kabob with mango salad and rice. I also had got a shack naan. I will come back and try the other entrees and the rice was on point. The lamb meat was good and the mango salad was nice too with lemon and the sauce. I ordered from the counter so waiting didn't take too long at all. I think I should have ordered a drink, But I will do that next time. Very nice Indian food. I will start by saying that I totally enjoy Indian food. I usually need to read the descriptions because even though I like some heat, it doesn't like me back. I was greeted immediately upon entering. The young lady behind the counter seemed really friendly and was very helpful. I explained that I had some dietary restrictions due to recent surgery and that I'm a vegetarian. She immediately took my concerns to the owner and cooks and came back with some amazing suggestions. I ordered the butter masala with vegetables, the shack naan and the organic mango juice. What an explosion of flavors. Everything was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. While waiting for my order, I was able to look around and found the restaurant to be immaculate. Everything was clean and orderly. Thank you Yelp and Tikka Shack for a delicious and flavorful event. This was my first time there , let's start with the environment , being that is was my first time there I had no idea where to begin , there was a kiosk but no one up front , the restaurant it self it clean , presentable and quiet. There was no one to welcome you in 6/10, Service 5/10 food the butter chicken definitely didn't have the spice I am use to having very bland you didn't taste tandoori , and it had a weird after taste , basmati rice was good and the garlic naan amazing the best part of my meal overall 4/10 , I love to cook and my butter chicken definitely beats this, garlic naan 10/10. The the biriyani wings were a 9/10 crispy , cooked to perfection and flavor was a bit sweet but I liked it. I found a new indian food place. I got crispy wings, masala fries, and chicken masala with garlic naan. It was all really good. The wings were crunchy on the outside and had a dry spicy rub and just a hit of spice yum The fries were really yummy but missing a little more cilantro, maybe some spicy ketchup but overall delicious! The rice is fluffy and compliments a the chicken tikka masala. The house version was not very spicy but the flavor was good. The wings were the best and the fries are probably as close second! Take out is available as well. They will then bring your order to you. Beverage offerings are fountain juices & black tea (free refills) or there are bottled or can drinks for purchase. Traditional Indian dishes are offered such as biryani, tandoori, curries & samosas, in addition to an Indian cuisine infused flavor spin on pizza, wings & tacos with aromatic spices. Flavor is not sacrificed even with being a fast food style dining restaurant. Prices are reasonable & if you're new to Indian food, it's a great way to experience it. I tried the biryani wings which are dry rub. They were a 10/10 with their crispiness & kick of spice bringing on the heat. The street style chaat was an 8/10 for me. Definitely had flavor. The chicken biryani was a 9/10 & the butter masala a 7/10, but that could be due to eating the spicier foods first, which made the butter masala probably taste slightly on the bland side. We had the masala fries which was yummy. I wish the fries were crunchier. We added paneer, which seemed decent. We got the butter chicken, and it was good. Can't go wrong with butter chicken. This is a decent Indian fast food place. I ordered the Southern Curry with shrimp at the hot level and it was very spicy, too spicy for my liking. The curry was good but the shrimp was overcooked. I also ordered garlic naan which was good but not heavily garlic flavored and not fluffy like typical naan. Additionally I ordered a paneer biryani in hot which was not spicy at all. I feel like there needs to be a spice level between house and hot. The biryani needed a bit more flavor. Prices here are good and the service is quick. I waited less than 10 mins for my order. I saw the recently opened signs and decided to give it a try. The outside is nice, but close parking can be hard when it is busy. I came during lunch hour, and it was not too busy. The workers were friendly, but I decided to use the self service to order since I knew what I wanted. You have the option to remove certain items, such as cilantro or tomato's for those of us picky eaters. I ordered the build your own curry, I chose the butter, and vegetables. It was full of many different veggies, mostly cauliflower, onions, tomato's and peppers. The sauce was not too spicy, and I went with the house base. I also ordered the masala fries. They were great, but I did take the cilantro off. I do wish it had a bit more sauce, so next time I'll see if I can order some. Lastly I got the shack naan, which was great. It did not taste too much different from a plain naan though. There is plenty of seating inside, and a self ordering kiosk if that is desired. I'm sorry to say this wasnt good. I was excited this summer about Tikka in Landstown. I had a lunch; I think with the traditional samosas, a chutney and a lamb curry and basmati rice. The lamb was meagrr and musty; the sauce so hot it masked the subtle flavors of curry. The samosas were dry and chewy and who can make a meal off chutney? Very disappointed . Tried this out for dinner. We ordered butter chicken (one hot, one not) and another dish that had red onions and bell pepper with paneer. The lady at the counter thought we ordered samosas (we didn't) but we paid for them anyways because samosas are delicious. Samosas came out first. I asked for tamarind chutney but they don't carry it. Bummer. The butter chicken was underwhelming. The chicken has the consistency of something you buy pre-cooked in a bag. Oh my God this place is so good! Indian joints are veg, friendly, but they have a separate vegan menu to break it down a little further. My first impression was I needed a straw to eat; it was this liquidly thing that I started moving the fork around to find the chicken. immediately looked for spoon. Second the food was warm, not hot. The amount of chicken on the dish was ridiculous. It was 1/3 of a chicken tight chopped in tiny pieces. Literally 5 tinny pieces of chicken. The flavor, bluhhh, it tasted like salty water with spice. I love Indian food and this place is so convenient and well priced!! I had a curry bowl and it was amazing. Tastes like it's been simmering all day like traditional Indian food but it only took a couple minutes for my order to be ready. The drinks are also delicious and I love that they didn't have the usual gross sugary terrible-for-you soda fountain. They had what tasted like fresh tea and lemonade as well as other interesting drinks with spices like cardamom. Very little meat in either of the dishes, as pictured, even when we paid for extra chicken in the masala-- this looks more like soup than an entrée. So the food was decent for the price. We had the Biryani(?) wings. They were my personal favorite of everything we tried. I had the tikka wrap and my little had the butter chicken. Our issues were with the service. To start, when we walked in we stood at the register for several minutes without being served before my daughter said "maybe we have to use the iPad?" We went to the electronic ordering system but the choices, like no cilantro, are not an option for most items on the electronic menu. Also there was no one to give us our drink cups nor were they in an area where we could get to them. We didn't get them until the wings came out. My pita came out and it was 10 to 15 minutes till my daughter's food arrived. They were out of napkins and rather then bring us some the server reloaded the dispenser and then pointed me toward it. The place was also not super clean. Looked like they were a little behind on wiping down booths. Hoping that they will get better with some time and experience. Such a disappointment. The food is either flavorless or so over spiced with chili that is the only flavor. The naan had the consistency of cardboard and the lettuce mix for the so called salad was wilted with a mango dressing? That tasted fermented. My party had six people and we all ordered different entrees. We decided to cut our loss halfway through and chose to go home and order pizza. We spent over $130 and wound up tossing the majority into the garbage. The staff is mostly teens without any sort of customer service sense, never mind regular smarts. I added a drink after the initial order that came to $4.07. I paid with a five dollar bill and ten cents. The cashier took over 5 minutes to figure out what my change would be and still managed to mess up by not giving me the 3 cents of my change. I realize it's an inconsequential amount however he eventually handed me a dollar change and then was very annoyed as indicated by his huge sigh and facial expression when I explained he owed me 3 cents. Excuse me but when did getting the correct change become an inconvenience? We didn't order anything special it was all straight from the menu options.
